Why there I'm Venture Bureau and we're back it's a Tuesday there. So much to talk about I want to talk today about the real breakdown inside. The republican party is not what everybody says it is: will talk about what really is breaking the Republican Party apart. We also talk about Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, just making complete asses of himself on Fox NEWS last night, plus it international women's day. Do you feel like a natural woman, I'm bench of here? This is the bench. A pair of hands have humanised people hereby you're feeling so is international women's day a day when we celebrate the fact that a bunch of men voted to make an international women's day in what has to be one of the more condescending moves ever we'll get to all of that, there's so much to talk about a first folks were socks did that we finally have sponsors for the show their enough of you, who listen, who watch that we can actually make obscene profit off of you. So congratulations to us
congratulations. You can. We get to put you in touch with great advertisers, like Reagan, dot com. So, as you know it followed the show. It's pretty obvious right now that things are in wild disarray inside the Republican Party to dress it. We ve been talking about it for several months at this point, so it's now reach, sort of cataclysmic proportions. Today there are bunch more primary. These are primaries that are expected to split between TED Cruz and Donald Trump. Trump is going to walk out with major, delicate victories today, he's going to split relatively evenly with cruise and then the next Tuesday and there's pressure on Marco Rubio to drop out and Marco Rubio isn't dropping out. But bottom line is this: if Marco Rubio was just what he's done, if John Kasich wins Ohio he's not, and he will have deprived Donald Trump of enough delegates, but this actually becomes a really close competitive raised, not to beat Donald Trump in the delegate, count to prevent him from getting to one thousand two hundred and thirty seven again, if that happens, then the question is whether there is some sort of backroom deal between all of the other candidates to get behind said crews, because the only other people
who eligible for the nomination are people who have one eight states cruises one six by the end of today, we will have one at least seven he supposed to in Idaho. He has to win. Eight took her when a there's, no question by the end of it. Process will have one eight states. He may be the only alternative to Donald Trump. Ok, so, what's happening to the Republican Party here, there's a very interesting column. My David Brooks, whose a fake conservative rights for the New York Times you talked about David, Brooks before he's is sort of a foe, conservative and establishment. Guy couple weeks ago, you wrote peace saying Brok. Obama, we're gonna, miss him when he's gone, because he so genteel and civil and wonderful viz. The colonists use the conservative at the New York Times today has a piece called its to wait and here's what he said. He says it's too, I am. The bar is closing Republicans have had a series of strong and nasty trump cocktails. Suddenly, TED crews is beginning to look kind of attractive. At least you sort of predicted and he doesn't talk about a sexual organs in presidential debate. Well, Republicans have your skin,
is really fallen so low so fast. Are you really that desperate remember your eight p m cells and all the hope you have about entering a campaign with such a deep bench of talented candidates back in the early evening before the current panic setting republicans under to TAT, grew to be a terrible general election candidate, at least as unelectable as Trump, and maybe more so he's the single most conservative Republican in Congress, far drift from the American in stream. He's been doing well in primaries because of the support of extremely conservative voters in very conservative states. He really hasn't broken, that lane his political profile, is a slightly enlarge. Rick Santorum, but without the heart is cruel. He's nasty David Brooks once said that he represented a sort of quote pagan. Brutal ISM said that TED crude. He says on policy grounds. Crews would be unacceptable to us a large majority in this country, but his policy disadvantage are overshadowed by his public image ones. His rhetorical style will come
cross to young, independent voters as smarmy and oleaginous Oleaginous means greasy in Congress, yet to accomplishment the disastrous government shut down in persuading all his colleagues to dislike him, and then he says: there's another path, a better path, one it doesn't. You self loathing in the morning it long shopping, Many alternatives it's worth trying, and that is basically than from promoting the nomination, go to an open convention and then said Somebody who's, not really conservative. He says isn't about winning the presidency in twenty sixteen anymore. This is about nothing much bigger. Every fifty or sixty years parties under nor transformation. The gps, undergoing one right now. What happens this year will set the parties trajectory for decades and David Brooks remember an established guy, he says, since Goldwater and Reagan De Giovanni has been governed, a free market, antigovernment philosophy, but over the ensuing decades, new problems have emerged. First, the economy has gotten crueler technology displacing workers globalization is dampening wages. Second, the social structure has atomizer
Fraid, especially among less educated, third demography. Demography is shifting orthodox Republicans, Seeing no positive role for government have had no affirmative agenda to help people deal with these new problems. Bob law. What we really need is a big government conservatism. Okay. So here's just a brief review We first started this campaign. The conventional wisdom- and I talked about it on the show- was that there were four lay There are four lanes and the Republican Primaries Lane one the establishment way that was Job Bush Numerical Robia lanes. Was the Tea Party Lane Lane to that was the that was the TED crews, tea party line. Three was the the evangelical conservatives. Lane was Maccabees Lane, EK, Santorum and Lane, for was the libertarian now supposed to be random. Obviously that didn't work out, because pretty much none of those candidates except crews, have had any sort of appeal at all. And we went to a second model that people have been pushing now for months, and that is the establishment, verses, anti establishment model right. There's the establishment, that's Marco Rubio in Japan,
and John cases and there's the anti establishment, TED Crews and Donald Trump. What this doesn't explained why crews and trumpet been going at it so hard if they're in the same lane, and they represent the same people? Why is it that there is so much easier between the Trump and the crews, people, and the answer is because it's an insufficient model? That model is not correct in Rio, There are three lanes, and this is what's tearing apart. The republican Party, a man. An event diagram normally event. Diagram, your member back to school, you have circles and they all overlap in one particular area. That's not how the then diagram lot then diagram for the court. Republican Party is three sir those all in a row with small overlaps or circle circle circle right nourishes the two areas of overlap, but EL pointed the two circles on the ends touch each other. You got the anti establishment, one can be established. On the other and the conservatives in the middle. That's basically the model and what's happening is that the anti establishment p we are pulling at the conservatives. One citing you can't go along with those establishment people their terrible there
for they are the ones you surrender to Democrat and then on the other side, you got the establishment people pointing at the anti establishment, people and sank conserving, now to come without you can't go with those people they back Trump and trumps. Not even conservative. You gotta come with us he's crazy he's going, Ro the conservative movement but you're. Seeing is the conservatives. The people who actually care about constitutional conservatism getting torn right down the centre between the anti establishment and the establishment and is why things are playing out the way that they are to understand this. You have to understand. Anti establishment is not conservative, who said this multiple times. So, let's go through these three groups inside the republican Party. Whose right whose wrong- and how do we hope all of this shapes up so first things. First, the establishment, the establishment, their people like David, Brooks Establishment people like David rocks they find Donald Trump. It actually kind of like Donald Trump on policy is the truth, but they find Donald Trump off putting they think that he's rude think he's loud and noxious, and he says things that are better brutal to my.
Nor at ease- and he alienates people can't do outreach. That's it they think of Donald Trump. Rubber. These same people, hate tat, grew These are not really conservative, so they really just like ten crews he's just too harsh he's just to constitutional he's, just a small government. He can't go along get along. He can't make deals, he has no allies and the establishment view is much more like trump and it is like crews in terms of pure politics, for example. Let me read again that part where, where Brooks talks about what the new Republican Party should look It contains a lot like trump. He says since Goldwater Reagan, the GNP has been governed by a free market, antigovernment philosophy right. We call this modern american concern but over the ensuing decades, new problems have emerged. First, the economy has gotten crueler technologies, placing workers, globalization is dampening wages. It. We ve heard this about the Trump supporters the Trump supporters are, people have been thrown out of work in the rust belt. They were working in many
factoring they can no longer work in manufacturing, and so they ve been hurt, and so they want help and the new Republican Party has to help these people cat fur. Technology displacing workers. This is nothing new anybody who thinks that nothing new knows nothing about history. There is a group called the what it's back in eighteen, fifty Britain it during the industrial revolution. And they literally smashed machines is what they did estimated the death penalty offence in Britain for people too, ass machines because became so common people were. The machines would take their jobs and they started destroying machinery is recalled. What I took the idea the technology has replaced. Jobs there's been true ever since the Real advent of the industrial revolutions been true for a hundred and sixty years. At this point, nothing is new under the sun. Many says social structure has advised in frayed. That's been true, but that was true before ragged at start in the sixties. So what exactly does social conservatism do accept, say we need to rebuild that's that social conservatism in the home. I now with government
the home, there's nothing wrong with that from this perspective either. And finally, he says: Duma Demography is shifting, so Republicans have two presumably crater in cave on, issues like immigration on this issue, This also conservatism, is a philosophy. It's not a race. Is why objective strongly to sort of white nationalist bent of some of the trumps for that. We ve been talking about an end their louder than they are than they are deep. There there's there's a few of them, but there very noisy, but they do rubber it's a real phenomenon. The republican party snap catering, tiny of this. Ok, the economy is what the economy is and we'll get to Trump and his positions on the economy in a second. But it's important to note the establishment sides with tromp on a lot of policy. They want back George W Bush is compassionate conservatism, a big government conservatism that helps the little guy. RO we caught with there's a name for this. This is called liberalism. The fact is that this is why the establishment is so reviled by conservatives, because we feel that they actually represent the eye.
Of what they say, they're going to represent. So the fact is that your Mitt Romney for exam- and when he says, there's no establishment, of course, there's an establishment- here's Mitt Romney trying to explain away the establishment on Sunday. Here we go about the argument on a gateway heard, those from rush. This is the establishment basically trying to maintain control of a guy at and pushed back a guy that they wouldn't be able to control. Well, you can't control TED crews, for instance. Fidelity suggested you could do that and market We have already tried to stop Marco Rubio from going to guess they sitting republican governor in Florida. He did it anyway, and one establishment suggests that there must be some wizard of OZ somewhere pulling the strings. That's the way it works there. Individuals like myself, I sat there and watch Donald Trump. I said, look someone's gotta, say something. I didn't talk today, body in saying that a new speech you get some ideas. This is something I did
my own because I care very deeply about the country. I love American. Ok, do something unusual says: there's no establishment is all the wizard of OZ. Nobody saying that there a wizard of OZ. Nobody saying there's this grand conspiracy among the establishment lower saying. Is there a bunch of like minded people who believe like I did things and what they believe in is a bigger government conservatism. Romney was their favorite in twenty twelve because he created Romney care, not in spite of Ronnie CARE because of Romany care. John Mccain was their favorite in two thousand it because of campaign finance reform, not in spite of camp finance reform because of it George W Bush. They like the latin two thousand, because he was talking about better government, not in spite of the fact that he was talking about bigger government. There doesn't have to be a conspiracy bunch of people in a smoke filled rooms trying to coordinate in order for there to be a group of minded people who actually have a major impact on politics like I'm, accrue, support, coordinate with of the various groups of workers. All of us should have a ideology. We have a common common notion
how governments work, I'm a conservative that doesn't mean it with every other conservative. In fact, we have disagreed and among ourselves, but we do have coherent ideology, there isn't establishment, it does exist, and so now the establishment of God People like John case who also represents the establishment case. It's a perfect embodiment of what the establishment wants. Michael meant. That I think, is a good idea, logical indicator of where the establishment is he loves. John case. He thinks John case. It is by the way so does David Brooks in this column. He talk specifically about John casing. He says if the GEO peace, going to survive as a decent and viable national party. It can't cling to the fading orthodoxy. Crews represents is fading orthodoxy. There, certainly eternal truth government sucks it thing and the less government there is more freedom. You have Hey. These are eternal truth is not fading. Orthodoxies government didn't magic discover how to work, don't mean has never worked well. The idea, the government ever can work? Well, this is a man, but he says we can't shifting ugly, trompe nationalism. We have to find a third alternative, limited
but energetic use of government? This is his phrase limited but energetic use of government that doesn't help it all. Ok limited has no meaning because you haven't find it energetic. What does that mean that account socket things. What but definition of government is that it does socket basis. This is what case and Rubio and Paul Ryan are all about. This is the establishment and what they think so John case it has become their current favorite. So here's what John CASE He has to say he says, he's going to win Ohio. Let's talk about Ohio governor because you say you're going to win there, and yet Donald Trump is ahead of you and your home state, your governor of Ohio, what the heck is happening there and and what's your strategy to ten Katy don't worry about Ohio, we're gonna, win Ohio, have any big go we're just where working very hard and Ohio most wise,
how are you in the walls? Why is he a hundred or not? I had he's not he's not ahead of me. You loose poles or goofy euro. You take three or four hundred samples. You some computer mechanism to do it and you call it legitimate it's not legitimate, because we, having probably also these hey success, it he's gonna, win this primary. I just I don't get the warmth. I usually get from case it when I can see his hands air chopping. Fruit is just its or boring, but when John K sick. He is the representative of the establishment, so as market YO into their a lot of establishment. People saying will stop Trump by depriving them of the debt get and they will come in with John K, sick or market Rubio or Mitt Romney will just will will break out. Somebody from our own side visit turn has led to the anti establishment will talk about them in just a moment. We have taken obscene disgusting profit time out. The Bernie Sanders would hate, but you know what to do is Bernie. Sanders is a loser, and so are the Democrats up in any case Reagan, dot com is the name of our new sponsor their terrific folks. You want to protect
I've seen you wanna guard your emails. You make sure that their no copies or pdf, so the people aren't keeping track of what you do collecting day. On new Reagan? Dot com is the way to do it. Go to Reagan. Dotcom plus you get slap, rounded up friends when you send them an email from Reagan. I cannot imagine how tat you would be if your family where's were sending you emails from Obama. Dotcom now imagine Adobe, when you send them an email from Reagan, Dotcom, that's why it's fun vote so share President Reagan's name with em email you sent, and you know that you're not gonna be scanned or shared with. Third parties go to rig privacy. Dotcom right now secure your personal private. Address and you get to free bonus mindset, Reagan, privacy, dotcom, ok, so the establishment right. So we got the establishment on the one side, the establishment. These are big government conservatives on the other side, because they ve cater to democratic forces long and surrendered for so long and said that the Democrats are really not bad people there, just misguided in other. They really don't have bad intentions when,
Anti National was there's nothing really wrong with that when they say these sorts of things, the Anti establishment goes well what the hell I've been left behind. I'm pissed I'm ticked off, but the establishment is not conservative there. Conservatives in the anti establishment, but there are also plenty of populous in the anti establishment. This is more a feeling than anything else being anti establishment is not a philosophy, it's more of just a backlash. So, for example, might Ditka, who is the coach of the Chicago bears he came out and said he's voting for trumpet years might Deca his explanation of. Why is voting for Trump card? I were, I worry about the direction of a country I really do deserve a patriot. I think we're devoid of leadership right now and I think we need leadership, and where do you agree with everything the man says, I'm not even a hell of a lot better later than some of the other guys. Do you regret your vote for Obama in two thousand and twelve odds are not adequate for book
these breaking it stops. Michael, you can. Farmers are worth pregnant with ever had you know it's funny. You say that, like they cater did you you won't. You ve been very adamant about that. We could not be done afford. A coach did go how you you will eat this disdain for Morocco Bomb and I always thought my lifetime Jimmy Cornel igniting Seventys was the worst, but I'm with you, I think Morocco bombers, eclipsed Jimmy Carter, you're telling me MIKE Annual long stay on this planet, even in Dallas cowboys. What when Kennedy was fascinated, I think about that time- that double lock Obama is the worst president of your lifetime, where I think really here why I've Brok Obama's a fine man, I mean he's pleasant. You would be great. The play golf with not a leader in this country needs leadership in the direction it need. Somebody had stepped up front. We need somebody like Ronald Reagan, every once in a while. You gotta get punished in a trap, but you keep going forward. That's all
report that our it's gotta be perfect, fit her way. Ok, so we must have been there, but it's over Trump is a leader. Trump is a leader. This trump is a leader that, by the way, Trump is a leader to the extent that he sends literal busted himself is reported today. Bus of his own head to campaign headquarters all over the United States, which is creeping, is on very good looking bust either. But in any case, the idea for the anti establishment is Trump is a leader help bus things up I'll, come in hell, just take a bat and break everything and it'll be great, but is Trump actually concern. Now we just anti establishment is just answer establishment. My problem with Trump is that he pretends he's conservative when he just anti establishment. So, for example, here is Donald Trump explaining. He really is very conservative when you get right down to it and the single most name, criticism or question I get Tell me where Donald Trump is conservative, explain how he'll be conservative and I want to go.
Me that that opportunity to explain to people, because no one ever as EU that sure I'd like to do that and in so many ways, but I at the same time I don't like labels necessarily because a label doesn't mean very much, but when it comes to being conservative, I happened to be conservative, a very, very strong on energy independence, as you know, and I think that's the most conservative position and I have the most conservative position on that? I am very, very so called conservative on the military. I wanted very, very strong military. I want to build up you know military is totally depleted. We're gonna take care of our vets as part of that all situation, because our that's about taken care of properly. Nobody is more serve when it comes to trade that I am now you can go and you can see I want you, I'm not a free trader, but I am a free trader, but I'm also fair trade or to slaughter, and I want to make sure that the United States gain something
Lindsey Army would probably is a term says, he's conservative many names, three issues and on one of them is not conservative right when it comes to free trade is not conservative. Get a conservative position on free trade is that you should be in favour of free trade unless there's a human rights component here, like Ronald Reagan, for example, doktor shut down a lot of trade with the Soviet Union because he wanted to collapse that economy, he succeeded in doing this, the real and what will get more non trade in just two seconds? All wait for for my explanation of why free trade is conservative but trumps as he's conserved. If you really isn't it moreover, a nationalist populist somebody believes he can make a mess. A great again, but he doesn't understand what made America great in the first place. He just thinks that, if he's a strongly That makes Amerika great again, and this is what he says read for example, hears Donald Trump explaining how he's going to For you. This is more of a long trumps lines. It is rallies. This is what he says. I just want to tell you it's a special place, whether a work really well with you,
we're gonna bring jobs back to Mississippi. Like you, ve, never seen before you, to be so happy, and I say this often our country doesn't win anymore. Wigand winning in so many ways we're gonna win with the military wigand. Knock out ISIS fast, we're gonna win with our military. We're going to take care of our vets. We're gonna win with our vets we're gonna win with education, we're gonna win on trade. We're going to win when we get rid of this horrible Obama care and we're going to get you something right. We are going to win, win, win, win going to win so much and you're going to be so proud and you're going to go back and you're going to remember about tomorrow and yielded to in a couple years. From now and long after that that that was one of the great votes you ve ever cast
for anything I just wanna. Thank you Mississippi. I love you spend your paypal they brought about. I love you. Thank you, MRS me beg you. Ok, we're gonna, win, win, win, win, win, win win, renders that's all going to that. We're just going to win by the way. Donald Trump said yesterday that he Grady but he's greedy for America. That's what he says he's he's Gordon Gecko greedy for America. You gonna win what there's nothing here that says conservative, because Donald Trump is not conservative and to get back to the free trade point, which is now that this is really what it comes down to. A lot of people claim has been talking about this. For a long time Brooks is talking about the dispossessed there. The people have lost their jobs thanks to the shifting economy,
away from manufacturing and toward the information sector, and from has talked about it a lot too, and the solution is presumably to stop free trade to stop free trade and you're an down from calls this conservative, it's not here's Donald Trump on free trade agreements are the three drag. You know a lot of free trade for that that free trade for as well as our shirts and look, I believe, I think, rephrase fine but the leaders of these other countries, whether its China, five hundred billion dollars a year
a deficit with China. What the hell good is that for us, where does that help us? So you have China, you have Japan, where the car is governed by the hundreds of thousands they bore of the boats it's like mark is is driving the I've never seen they come off. You wouldn't drive home, it's too reckless. They come off these boats going like forty or fifty miles an hour. It's like the long turnpike logout expressway. They come pouring off the boats one after another after another, and we send them like nothing. We say: add by comparison, nothing. We have to make Smarty as we can no longer. You know where those living in the same routine and he treated out. Yet but trying to an idle many tweeted. This out yesterday about Idaho Potatoes and saving, bring up that tweet You re! Actually, he said yesterday here, here's one hears what Trump had to say about potatoes here as well,
I'm coming onto the age of us- and this is nice, but I now I woke up here, look at a good time of haven't. You know why I had four great poles from the great state of Michigan that's a big each of our you and measure get we have why we have the greatest potato group in the world. I I love at all I love them just wait, and I said I love you potatoes. I hope you get about far beyond protect you nobody's gonna Take those potatoes away from I nobody's gonna. Take the potatoes away from this has nothing to do with conservatism. Let me explain why. Ok, tariffs are not conservative, because all tariffs are indirect taxation. I am a consumer euro consumer everybody in America is a consumer. Let's say, for example, that we decided that we are just going to take a tax on all of us working rumours and give a welfare payment to farmers. A farmer, we're gonna, get your welfare paving your farmer in Idaho, you grow potatoes having a rough time. So
TAT, all of us ten dollars a year and we're gonna just give it to the farmers in Idaho for no reason we're going to give it to them right. This would be called redistribution of. Well, that's what a tariff is all a tariff is: is they raise the price of imported goods, because you're buying or potatoes wherever you want to buy your potatoes, they could come from South America where they could come from Asia, you're buying or potatoes. Wherever there the cheapest and that's your right to buy potatoes it. Whatever prices, the market price and the government You saying to you, you can no longer do that right. We're banning that. Now you have to pay more for potatoes, so the money is go to those farmers in Idaho. It's exactly the same thing as if they raised your taxes and just handed your money to the farmers in Idaho, its corporate welfare, its crony capitalism, that's what it is. Ok, it's no different, no different than the government taking your money, the handing it some person in the inner city or handing in some we're person in West Virginia or handing it to a farmer. It's all the same it when the government, involved in the economy for purposes of sending your money elsewhere, this is called redistribution, is by the way there
the other China, is just making a boon off of their trade with us. It's nonsense. They try to had to fiscal collapses in the last six months. China is is attempting desperately not devalued for its, he any more because if they devalue their currency anymore, their economy collapses. Think about all of the thing about this. When Lord happened to you today, if the american dollar we're sliced and half in value, all your money and a hundred thousand dollars in the bank expect your entire life building it and now it's only worth fifty thousand dollars you'd be a lot poor. Wouldn't you well that's what happens when you devalue the currents, because all the government does it print prince another hundred thousand dollars? So your money is worth half of what it used to be words. He can't buys much stuck with it now on the flip side. What it means is that everything that your mate king is now worth half of what it was since cheaper to export things right? What are you make cars it used to cost you through a used car you sixty thousand dollars. Car now costs a hundred and twenty thousand dollars for you to make a car. But that means the purse
abroad. Broad doesn't have to spend as much money to buy your stuff right. The exchange rate is much better. The exchange rate is much better for the person abroad. If you inflate your currency, that means that your currency goes further South China, it let's hit influx their currency so used to be that lets say this. These are random. Numbers would say that it was five yen to one american dollar knots opinions, one american dollar. That means you can buy more stuff in China. Right you go to China. You spend one dollar into ten, yet that's more than five years you can buy more stuff with it, get that doesn't help the chinese economy in any real why it does in the short term, but it also impoverishes their entire population, which is what you ve had right. It is that when you have a trade deficit, Thomas Soul makes this point when you have a trade deficit. Typically, that only happens when you're rich poor countries don't have trade deficit. Rich countries have trade deficit, because we can afford to buy other people stuff. If you can't afford to buy anything, there's no trade deficit, you can't actually buy things, you're money doesn't go anywhere and by the way, what you think happens, your dollar, you didn't.
From demarcation than the end. If I send my dollar to China doesn't just sit in a bank there. Eventually they have to spend the dollar somewhere. That means they have to spend it in the. U S, economy, because we're the only people who use dollars so bottom line is this: do you want better things for cheaper? That's opposite to want better things for cheaper. If you do free trade is the answer. You have people like Bernie Sanders able wages are stagnant, were earning less in the manufacturing sector than we used to ok. The number of your wage is irrelevant it's what you can buy with your dollar. That matters. Money is just a substitute for goods. Money is just a substitute for stuff If I have a hundred thousand dollars, but I live on a desert island, my money is worthless if hundred thousand dollars and I can buy lots of cool stuff. That's but that's good thousand dollars now can shop at any place on earth through the internet that even better It is now my money is worth more stuff. Free trade has made America incredibly powerful. It wasn't tariff that made America powerful. It's free trade that made America powerful because we out compete other people in making great
pensive products and again think about it in terms your own family. Would you prefer that your child was getting subsidized to work in the cold, mines, or would you prefer the your kid or working an eighty year? Can working in Silicon Valley, the answer is, you prefer can working in Silicon Valley. Would you not? The same is true for the entire american economy week either too, the people in Silicon Valley, in order to pay for the people working the coal mines, or we can understand that there certain industries in America that are too expensive to run in America, and we can shift our focus over two jobs that are, there are more cutting edge that are higher and that's what's happened to them can economy and the unemployment rate has basically stayed the same, so the aid there are millions and millions of people putting out of work by technology. Yes, this doesn't help individual whose put out of work but on the globe,
economics for the global on an american economic scale, Americans are better off with free trade. Americans are much worse off the tariffs. There's never been a country in history that had high tariffs that ended up succeeding because of the high tariffs. There's never been a country in history that six aided, by devaluing its currency, by inflating its currency from says China Our competing us asked the Weimar, like how well worked, asked Venezuela how well it worked. If it's really, a great idea, just inflate or currency. Why is it that the people in the Weimar Republic weren't super wealthy? Why should the Venezuelan has empty shells everywhere? There's nothing you can buy so that sort of the story with free trade has nothing to do being anti free trade is not a conservative principle. Ok, we have one group, the establishment felt. We have a second group, the anti establishment folks, and then we have a third group, and these are the conservatives and the problem is the conservatives are split. Is the conservatives? No trump isn't conservative? They also know the establishment is an conservative. They don't like trumps agenda.
But they also like the establishment agendas lieutenant caught in the centre, and you can hear that from example rush limbo was a real leader in the conservative move here's what Russia had to say about Mitt Romney attacking Donald Trump. Let's look: let's talk about that, because there is a out of commentary and saw that coming from conservatives who say that the Republican party is in danger of turning itself apart. We ve seen splits many times before over political philosophy, but that's not what's happening this time. This is the establishment, the elite of the party versus the grass roots base. That way, but it really is a living knew. They were this way with Ronald Reagan me for regular was alive, They tried to deny ragged and seventy six and they tried to deny Reagan. Regular nineteen, eighty they're, not conservative, misses you when I hear governor, wrongly in his speech last. We talk about how the Republican Party must stand for legitimate conservative value. They do that why therein, the problem there having the problem there having they are, not conservative there being
by their dollars. You look at these primary How far do you realize they don't like crews, either to Chris? In fact, maybe they dislike grows more than tromp, but crews an trumpeting gonna guys that one of the thing the establishment candidates in this race cannot get noticed. The republic in primary voters, whether their clothes primaries are open. Our voting for any body but but candidates attached to the republic of us. That is what you hearing from from Russia What you hearing there is is this split right. He likes crews, who understands cruises more conservative. He also hates establishment so he's going soft on Trump, and because of that, you ve got this weird situation where conservatives themselves, people like me, are feeling torn. I really dislike Trump. Obviously I said I will vote for Trump right. I really dislike trumpet I'll get to that in a second, but I also really just like the establishment we're being torn apart, because the establishment created the anti establishment and the anti establishment instead,
of being conservative actually reflects the politics of this. Ablishn interviews, router about it, and I hate the people in the establishment. Do you ve got to more left, leaning groups, the antis down Andy, the establishment, the populist anti establishment and the up and the establishment tearing at each other and the conservatives caught in the Middle I really have nothing to do with with either so much. They hate the anti that they hate the establishment, but they also just like the anti establishment. That's gone full populist pro trump. Okay, I want it. I want it. Talk about something very briefly. Last week I announced I'm not voting for trumped, no matter what I think the Donald Trump is a disaster area for four conservatism and then most common response I've received, is that a failure to vote for Trump is able for Hilary. This is not true. I will give you three reasons. This is not true. First basic math basic math, no, it's not ok! So Hilary and trump our time. Let's yours is the deciding vote in America.
For some odd reason, it's come down to you and now you have to decide as it Hilary or is it trump if you abstained as Hilary become president Oh, she doesn't, when you say, you're, not gonna, vote for Trump. What you're doing? you're splitting your vote. Basically, your vote is neutral. It doesn't you're just saying no you're, not you, you're, not saying your your programme, you're saying neither using a pots and all your house is not part of this, and he can't peg me to that. So so. The idea that a vote against a vote against trumpets vote for Hilary is just not true. It's not statistically trope. A second point: the ideological battle, four trumpets Annabelle for Hilary. It's not even a statement. I think Hilary would be a better president than Trump. I think Trump probably would be. A better president in Hilary cause, it's hard to imagine somebody being worse than Hilary except President Obama, but my top, priority is not is not defeating Hillary Clinton, its preserving conservatism for the future. I only trumps gonna save the country. I don't think even to reverse the process. I think Trump is just gonna walk toward the cliff.
Slightly slower than Hillary Clinton, maybe if we're lucky and I'm not gonna side with and more than that, I think, he'll destroy conservatism from within, as I've talked about. Finally, there's the moral component: if Trump loses two Hilary, that's not my fault. He's alive? It's funny how this works, all the Trump supporters out there. They say it's, not our but the ones you stayed home. It is not our fault. Mitt Romney lost a brok. Obama stayed home has been like Romney Eden appeal does not our fault if you wanted to when he should have done a better job. That's true! It's also true that if Donald Trump wants to win, he should do a better job. He should not be a populist demagogue, which is what he is. If you want my vote, then he can appeal to me. If he doesn't want my vote, he doesn't have to set out my fault. That or if you wanna go Donald Trump anomaly. That's your problem, but I would have to be complicit in it and I'm not gonna be forced through blackmail into supporting a candidate who I find to be disreputable, ok, so a couple of of quick notes in then things I like in things I hate. Ok, so first
CNN is just terrible at everything. Quick know about the media. Cnn is awful. It everything. Last night CNN reply that Marco Rubio and was going to die bout of the race. This it turns out was not true at all.
Said the same thing about about Ben Carson. Here's them doing this report yesterday about the Rubio campaign. Booby, our scholar, does the communications record for Senator route. Ruby are well Miss weathers as well loved Alex thanks very much for joining us luck. Let's talk a little bit about what Jamie Gal has been reporting. What you're, what your hearing that Rubio himself very very bullish, wants to stay in this race, but some advisers, maybe wondering if you can't win in Florida, maybe it's best to get out before March fifty wealth, Jamie's from port with utter nonsense. She did not caught contact the campaign prior to coming on the show last our reporting that it is one hundred percent, absolutely false. Adding CNN is doing a disservice to voters by airing that sort of that sort of reporting, but I'll even checking with the campaign for sources whatever they are, have no idea what the internal deliberations out of the campaign our hands. If she did, she would know that Markka feel confident about Florida.
Just a new Paul today, a public holiday should mark of gaining from from double digit down two weeks ago. Single did just now we're ahead in the early voting for can be there for the next week. We know how to women. Forty we're gonna win in Florida is going to be a new meaning, stop it there's a bundle and seen in blue this report just like they blew the Carson report and naturally there are people in the crews can't because we can have a weak words like this, where somebody in Hawaii started emailing out the Rubio Gonna drop out based on the CNN report, exactly the same thing that happened within Carson, the crews campaign slap them down matter. Rubio will complain that he was job I rose again, which of course helps trump. We're. Ok, meanwhile, on the other side of the Isle, They Hilary Sanders battle continues apace and a real. He is just an amazing thing: it's an amazing thing that Republicans are losing to these people or that are going to lose to these people like, for example, Bernie Sanders. He said that there is no such thing as white poverty does
exist right today. You reversed himself is not an. I know everything there is to know about white poverty. Here's Bernie Sanders on weight, poverty. Look, there is no candidate in this race was talk more about poverty than I have been one of the things. That's disturbing media does an orphan cover them. We have forty seven million people in this country living in poverty that it's a higher rate than any other country in the industrialized world, give the highest rate of top of almost any major country on earth. I talk about poverty. All of the time. What I meant by that is that an african american communities, you have people who are living in desperation, often being abused by like police officers. That is a bad thing that has got to change, and that's why I'm fighting to reform a broken criminal justice system gain areas. Time on those statements, disguise yet mean he's even undermine
non socialist case on national tv to say, black people suffer more than white people in white people. Don't know what it's like to be impoverished. I don't know what that has to do with racial profiling. It's it's a crap show I mean really as per for the Democrats. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton also crap show hears. Hillary Clinton. She's asked tough questions about her mail server last night and she looks terrible doing it. Who said at a March press conference and twenty fifty quote, I did not email any classified material to anyone on my e mail. There is no classified material. So can we say definitively that that statements not accurate? No, you can't years what happens the state Department as a process for determining what is or isn't classified if they determine it, is they market as collateral? Who decides what age apartment a lot about you when you're typing and make no mistake? The state department decides what is Let let me go a step further here I will
reiterate, because it's a fact nothing I sent or received was marked classified now. What happens when you, ask or when you are asked to make information public is at its reviewed and different agencies. Come in with their opinions, as you know, just recently Colin Powell, emails were retro actively classified for more than ten years ago. As he said the it was an absurdity. I could not agree more. Your contention now's, the twenty one hundred and one emails contain information that should be classic at any time that should be now war that you're just saying it's not they wasn't should have been classified well. What I'm saying it it was it at the time Turkey's she's all over the place. She has no that answers to this, but it will manner because publicans are too busy clocking each other and the democratic. We keep hearing that health streamer
weakens our you wanna hear extreme, listen, Bernie Sanders on abortion. Kinda democrats have gone through several debate, not been asked a single question by the media about abortion because talk word, here's what they are asking Bernie Sanders about abortion, listen to his answer. This is, on evil rigour in your name, a single circumstance at any point in a pregnancy in which he would be ok with abortion being illegal, not a question of me being okay. This looks like you for the question, but I happen to believe and let me be very clear about our. No, not everybody will agree with me. I happen to believe that it is
long for the government could be telling a woman. What to do. I believe- and I understand you're honest people and I have a lot of friends but some support disagreeably. They hold a different point of view. I respect that, but that is my view and I'll. Tell you something which I don't like in this debate. There are a whole lot of people out there who tell me the government is terrible. Government is awful, get government off our backs. My republican friends want to cut social security, Medicated Medicare, medicate education, but somehow on this issue, They want to tell every woman in Amerika what she should do to mean something to you Senator Sanders. The government is empowered to stop people from murdering each other end of story. End story is such aid, such a dishonest argument by the left, all this big government now trying to get into the woman's womb. Now it turns out. We want
about her appendix or rectum or any other part of her. The only thing we care about the baby living in their last night sitting around my wife is about just twenty six weeks pregnant now they are due date is the enemy I know her to date as an enemy, its May twenty fifth and in she we were sitting on the couch and she didn't something spicy, and that means that the baby starts a jumping and if you ever felt a baby kick in the womb. Don't tell me that a woman has the right to define whether that life or not the same thing is slavery. The idea the white people got to define what a black people were, a life or not depending on whether you are in Mississippi or Massachusetts, that's absurd and disgusting, and when Bernie Sanders does this routine good hearted people can disagree. No good hearted people cannot disagree with that. Baby is kicking in them, don't you dare tell me, that's not a human being worthy of protection, but this helps dream. Democrats are this house, room Democrats are and they get away with it, well. The Republicans are busy lugging it out I'd much rather's
my time on the show going after Democratic Bernie Sanders Hillary Clinton, who are deeply corrupt and believe evil things about the way the world works. Unfortunately, we first have to decide who are going to go up with the against them with our time for some things I like and some that I first some things that I like, if you ve, never seen that there is a great great great movie musical, I think it's the best movie musical of all time, there's the really only to that by for its American in Paris and and West I'd story, though, the to devise for some people like seeing in the red better thereon is not right. American in Paris, a better movie american impairs music is better its course. One music, the dancing is better. This is Jean Kelly and Leslie Koran and on point something out after we play
a little bit of this club issues. This is from the ballet seen near the end of the movie and folks. If you want to watch a romantic movie, that really is terrific. This is this. Is it it's fun? It's romantic. The music is terrific. The lyrics adjust its a great great movie. Here we go
the whole. Nobody is just spectacular. It's it's really great there. So many good see Oscar Levant, whose whose classically train concert pianist really good pianist plays, plays Jean Kelly's best friend in sea. Leslie, crony careless, your well here, but she was gorgeous at this point. You is, I think she was only eighteen when she found this is just a baby and Jean Kelly's. Of course, this is in the prime of his career. This actually one best picture Overstreet Car named desire and place in the sun and nineteen. Fifty three and a lot of people think that's wrong. I don't, I think, a totally deserved it. It's a great great film. The reason that that I like this. I grew up, and I am this way in my my life of my wife. I actually believe in Rome out, I think romance is an important thing and, by the way This is a very sexy scene. Okay, this is a sexy movie, it's a sexy scene, and I want to juxtapose that with the vulgarity. What the vulgarity of today's modern setting us, because Kim Kardashian decided that she was going to do a naked picture of herself
the other day- and this is supposed to be sexy- it's not it's just going. Ok, pornography is sexy in the sense that it makes men how sexual thought ensure let's be real about this any naked woman at any time make straight men have sexual thought, it doesn't make it sexy it with make it sensual, it doesn't make it romantic, get Iraq's off and it doesn't see that there's it there's the sort of yearning that goes along with romance. It just means that you want to get Iraq's off and you can see I wanna juxtaposed two types of dancing this, which has just beautiful, well choreographed and yes, sexy with beyond, say so beyond, say somebody did this mash up in this is my sister sent this to me, and I could not stopped laughing MRS Beyond say at a recent concert. You'll see the day they used different music fora for beyond, say and you'll see precisely why I like this video. So much here we go beyond say: dances,
I guess it. This isn't what he may pitched up. The chicken dance would be unsafe. Answering ended his exact dementias doing Michigan nets, but she's doing all these supposedly sexy motions, dont tell me Leslie Carogne in American and Paris is not more sexy, then beyond, say there. Ok, that's not sexy its pornographic there's a difference again. It has to do with sex. It's in the realm of sex. It has to do with the actual active
more presumably than what Leslie Carogne is doing. Sex looks a lot more like what Bianti is doing on the stage there thrusting her legs opened and closed. Then it does like Leslie Carogne dancing romantically with Jean Kelly, but when it has to do with romance and love, there's no way Jim, and what is more, sensual is is the first and by the way, if you're talking, your white getting in the mood. There is no question that American in Paris is gonna, do a better than a Bianti concert. The fact is that the what romance has become now romance has been dumb down because their spiritual set. I thought dramatic great point about this honest podcast several weeks ago. He said rape is a spiritual crime right because the fact is the act of rape is the same thing as the The fact is, just there's: consented missing so desperate to violation of the woman soul to violation of her will its violation of her consent, dwell that that assumes that there is a will and a soul and a consenting side, and that means that there is a spiritual connection that should be met, aid prior or during the act of sex. That has something to do with it. It is why I believe in virginity until marriage. This is, why was a virgin until marriage is something I want to share,
with the person, not only that I love that had already made a lifetime commitment to an, and this is why I think that romance is so important, particularly in the context of marriage and leading up to marriage, because once you lose the spiritual can and it has to do with such a maze. We'll go, get a prostitute. I mean who, in an that's, essentially what our culture has become an it really is gross ok couple of things that of what one more thing that Timor things that I like real fast, so that these are just funny little things, and if you saw this from the Trump rally the other day see if you can spot something happened during this from speech, you see if you can spot it. Is this the Jeff Matheson but ok, see if you can spot what's going on here. Did you miss it? Take a look at the at the just below Donald trumps left hand. The people, in the background play one more time, the guys
behind Donald Trump, on his left side. So. We always like to make one of the people who come and indifferent is about, but we did about There is, though, one behind Hilary remember that guy who's may not crazy faces. Do now we got the guy's bidding each other. What looked like bugles behind and behind Donald Trump. During his speech, I just thought that was body, and I had to show it to you. The other thing that I think is even pioneers what these people the dual Bernie Sanders inside and I'm not condoning people destroying other people's property. That, He's very funny said somebody cut a burning, undersigned in half. You can't see it if you're, if you're listening, they cut a burning. The undersigned in half and they on the other hand, they take the piece of paper. The tears I took half of your sign, because you had one- and I didn't I'm sure you understand, classic that's goods Ok close if one thing that I hate so here's the thing right
we already know that J J Abrams wants to diversify star wars by adding a gay character for no reason, because sexuality is not at the centre of of the star wars, universe. It's not something. It's deeply important. In fact, last time they tried sexual, dude made out with his sister, and it was all awkward so sexuality has never been at the at the apex of the star wars, universe. How, however, now we decided that we have to have transgendered engages in? First of all, I think we can just call George our banks, all of those and be done right and then we just can skip all the rest of it and miss a woman I'm by them. But Mark Hamel now says that his iconic character, Luke Skywalker, could be gay if you want him to be in an interview with the sun. He said he believed Skywalker sexuality is meant to be interpreted by the viewer. Camel said in the old
as you get fan mail, banal fans, are writing and asking all these questions I'm bullied and school, I'm afraid to come out. They said we could Luke be gay. I take is meant to be interpreted by the viewer if you think Lukas Gay. Of course he is. You should not be ashamed of. It judge, look by his character, not by who he loves. Ok does look like art, it's all up to your interpretation. You dont know maybe like swamp rat, you knew what he was doing. You know when he says you shooting lamp rats back on back on its homework. Native tattooing, who knows whether whether this was correct or not made, maybe maybe that was just a euphemism eighty likes lamp rats in a different way. Maybe when they are talking about the thermal exhaust port they're talking about something completely different in star wars. Who knows it all up to your interpret? I hate this kinda crap. Ok, we'd have meaning words, have meaning no Luke, isn't gay and their no implications in any of the original films. That he is gay in all likely raise his daughter by the way is now making real awkward. But this whole, like anyone, could be K. It's all, depending on your interpretation as to whether there is no it isn't.
No, it isn't, and if you want to run star wars, just turn it into Darth. Vader secretly had a thing for the emperor and these two electrify each other now is so stupid. But this is what we become in Hollywood. Why can't? We just have a movie that speaks for itself, as opposed this, like one when J K, rolling randomly decided, Dumbledore was gay rule, who was it wouldn't Dumbledore was it was that it was Dumbledore, they should. She ran away, decided Dumbledore was gay known as oh and everybody was like what what is it what was going on in the shared with Harry. Is it just made things weird for no reason like you, I'm like a character, gay mega character day, but don't take iconic old characters and then them gave for no apparent reason, other than you're being politically correct. It's silly and it's ridiculous and its in its just it's just dumb all the way. Well, I'm sure we'll talk more about such things tomorrow. Also talk about the result of today's primaries, there's always more to talk about, because the world will keep spinning until Donald Trump cards it in
the shape of his face and puts it on your mantle adventure bureau. This is the bench of erosion
