Hello America from LOS Angeles, California, it's the Glenn Beck program. We have an update on what the court decided yesterday, what they're still looking at to decide and what it all means to you coming up in a second also the latest, from inside the capitol on what is really going on with healthcare. It's not pretty we'll tell you about that and again what it means to your life. There is there's a vital information that I think you need to know as this does affect you and will affect you and your children for the rest of your life. We're gonna begin with the Supreme Court. Also, we have Mark Levin in on today and Brad Store. We begin right now, fusion of entertainment and enlightenment. This is the. There was a really good news. The Supreme Court made some monumental rulings yesterday and agreed to hear another that will decide whether religious freedom is. This still a core principle in the United States.
But let's look at what they did do yesterday. The long awaited showdown on religious freedom, as it applies to christian bakers, florist, photographers owners of wedding venues and others
Who have been forced into participating in gay wedding ceremonies? We have a quick recap on this first ruling.
There have been several of these incidents around the country, but the one that is going to be decided by the Supreme Court Involve,
case in Colorado. Now
in Colorado, the lower court rule
Jack Phillips. He is the owner of a place called the masterpiece cake shop
violated Colorado's public accommodations law. Now the
public accommodation law means that you can't refuse service
customers based on things like race or sex or marital status or sexual orientation.
Here's why you should care about this story: freedom of religion, the
freedom to exercise the dictates of our own conscience is at stake.
You may have to participate in compelled speech.
That's not good!.
You may have to participate info
things that you have a deep feeling and a
deep belief that
Is wrong, we are,
talking about at the level of if Europe
fist and Euro
Waker do you?
I have to go and fight well, yes,
you do because it's
of the country and we're all citizens well, but that goes
against the dictates of my spirit, my conscience.
You lose conscientious objector, you lose
the right of your own conscience and you are no longer in control now. Let's look at the facts.
Here are the things that we absolutely know agate
Coupled David Mullins in Charlie, Craig visited the masterpiece cake shop in twenty twelve, along with Craig's mother. They wanted to.
Or a cake for their upcoming wedding reception
now Mullins in Craig plan to marry in Massachusetts
where same sex marriages were legal at the time and then hold the reception in Colorado, but Phillips.
Said, I'm sorry, my religious beliefs. I can't make your wedding cake for a same sex marriage. He say
There are other bakeries that will be happy to accommodate you. I just have these religious feelings that I cannot move past now. Here's something
important in the fact category
gay marriage was still prohibited by Colorado law. In twenty
of meaning
Colorado. Civil Rights Commission determined that Phillips action violated state law,
even though gay marriage violated Colorado state law at the time so they're, both a pair
Lee breaking the law.
Even so, the ruling was upheld in Colorado state courts. Now those are the facts of the case. The contest
in facts are Jack, Phillips is a bigot, we don't know.
He's a homophobe,
we don't know,
is violating the rights of the gay
couple because
he's a religious zealot well.
When did religiosity become something that you had to shed
be his, he believes his religious sensibilities and his conviction or being
violated. He believes it is against his religion to protest
it in their ceremony, and that is a clear violation of the first amendment now here's,
but I believe this is why
this story means to me what you should take away
if this were the other way around. If a gay baker
we're being asked by a christian couple to make a wedding cake, that said, marriage
can only be between a man and a woman. There is no way the state of Colorado would be forcing the gay baker to make that cake. No way.
If the Baker were Muslim,
try to imagine a scenario where the court would be forcing him to deny the tenants of Islam but be '
'cause. Christianity is our major religion. It seems as though it is perfectly acceptable to limit discriminate against
totally disregard the convictions of those who practice it. Why?
Because Christians have been the oppressor.
Forget about the oppression that is happening in islamic states. We are a bigger oppressor as Christians.
Now, how can you possibly violate the first amendment by forcing the baker to participate in something that
violation of his religious convictions?
This is a slam dunk in a sane world. The
Supreme Court needs to rule in favor of the first amendment and the every american citizens right to free
expression of religion. Now
it's a sham, that's something different and that's why
we didn't accept. Conscientious objectors from everybody
had to show that that is what your faith
do. An you were a good member of your faith.
If this is still America, there is no other way to rule and
court will rule on this soon. Yes,
today, the court did make four decisions, some of 'em good other,
it's not so much, but there's good news here,
religious liberty, the Supreme Court made a ruling yesterday that flies in the face of the nonexistent separation of
church and state.
This is a this is a big win
for people of faith.
Until now, christian
abstinence organizations have been denied funding.
Pro life organizations have been I'd, been denied participation in governmental programs, while
at the same time, in a board
bill mill like planned parenthood will receive
half a billion dollars a year in Gov
in spending.
Until now, yes,
today, the Supreme Court ruled seven to two that the Gov
we cannot exclude churches and other faith based organizations from secular government programs simply
because they have a religious identity. Seven
two: this is
a huge surprise, because it
it means that rely
available, progressive judges, L
Mckeighan,
Stephen Bryer, both joy
in Kennedy, Robber,
Alito, Thomas
and our new judge, Neil Gorsuch, and
join them on the side of the religious organizations.
The case involved the state of Missouri denying a church, a partial reimbursement grant for rubberized playground, surface material made from recycled tires
and the reason why they rejected it is because the church
is the preschool. Even
the only purpose of the grant program is to improve children's safety. It sounds
no big deal, but it is actually a very big deal. Thanks to
playground,
christian organizations can no longer be discriminated against. It is a step too.
It's restoring sanity and the con
to principles. Tional me personally, I
the problem with a with a
tax exempt
organization getting tax dollars,
but I would say that about any organization, not not just churches.
This is, however, well, in
my mind, overruled because
means that if you're christian, you can
get the same services as everyone else, the court has taken a step towards ensuring that you, you,
your children, will be allowed to continue to exercise your faith. The way you see fit and you are not excluded
from the rest of society.
This is a rare victory for not Christians, but the constitution and
lengthens a core american principle. There's
another case involving a same the same sex couple to female couples: petition the Supreme Court to review their case, which fought
Arkansas Department of Health insurance of
of our issuance of birth certificates,
bearing only the birth mother's name and not the female spouse.
It would have said birth, mother and then you know the spouse of the the Father.
This is something that is always done, even if the Father isn't the father
and it's it's done
for other groups,
it's just being held back
not allowing to have a female spouse.
They ruled yesterday
and it to a provision of the Arkansas LAW, which was rejected by a trial court, kept in
beast by the Arkansas Supreme Court. The high
reversed and remanded the Arkansas High Court's judgment. They found that aunt
until now, opposite sex
couples were being treated differently than same sex couples in similar situations. Now,
what's interesting about this, Neil Gorsuch issued
blistering dissent from the Supreme Court's decision that Justice
Clarence, Thomas and Samuel Alito, both joined, so
it appears as though Gorsuch
is ruling
in the way he was advertised to rule conservatively.
We wondered if he would do this with a social issues. He's
certainly did on this one gay,
it's an issue that was
absolutely been now resolved in America. The battle is over. According to the
and, in large part, the mindset of the american people gay couples
have all of the same benefits in the same rights as opposite sex partners. There is no longer any differentiation. Your children
are growing up in a world now where
it is possible, if not likely that part,
the Bible could be considered. Hate speech soon now
gun rights. Strangely, the court refused to hear an important California case whether the second amendment gives people the right to carry handguns outside of their home for self defense, including
sealed, carry when open, carry, is forbidden by state law. Clarence Thomas again, Neil Gorsuch dissented from the court's decision not to hear the case. Thomas

antes of the second amendment might seem antiquated and support superfluous, but
the framers made a clear choice: they reserved to all Americans the right to bear arms for self defense. I do not think that we should
stand idly by while a state denies it citizen that same right, particularly
when their very lives may depend on it. End quote: if you

Early results show that gorsuch

advertised. This is
encouraging news from him. He sees
is to be the justice that
everybody hoped he would be, but because
the cord is a whole refused to hear that. The second amendment case- and I think this one is critical. Not only did they squander the opportunity to strengthen the second amendment,
for now gun owners in California are mostly unable to obtain a permit to carry a gun.
So they have. No protection in California is more and more dangerous in the cities. The right
to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed,
still not understood by many in
The United States,
for whatever reason court failed to act on behalf of the constitution. Fine,
either travel ban president
travel ban, was surprisingly most mostly
mostly allowed by the court. It's
it's not entirely allowed. It's just mostly allowed.
Maybe we can get miracle max to take it all the way home
they will give a full issue. This issue a full hearing later in the fall, the Sopr
in court. However, yesterday remove the injunction issued by lower courts on refugees without Ucl,
who is Ty to the United States, meaning that for the vast majority of refugees, the ban
is now being upheld in the interest of national security.
It seems like Donald Trump at this point
is just asking for time to figure out what's going on and
It's not hard to figure this one out. You know, I believe there are extremist out there that want to create chaos and kill innocent Americans and by allowing our government and this administration time to decide how best to secure our nation in a time where it's very difficult.
To discern who the good guys are and who the bad guys are. Americans. Men
of them are somewhat relieved by this ruling. None
bus want to see what's happening over in Europe, but again, none of us also want to see a repeat of
anything like the japanese internment camps. This is not a permanent situation
and none of us want to our children and our wives or husbands placed in undo peril. We don't have to
except everyone in our country at once, and
we do have an obligation to be discerning about who we allow in and so,
so far. The court is siding with Donald.
Now this our sponsor were going
into the Senate here in just a second, and I have some really incredible news on that. That's and not exactly posit,
but we also have Mark Levin coming up and Brad Thor so
there it is your dream house.

So your house is your house with a there is a
There is a real problem happening in
in Washington DC a
an amazing problem that we all knew.
But now we have to decide who do we believe,
I'm going to tell you exactly what is happening in Washington with the
Supreme Court Ann, it's uh, but
disappointing at best.
But I need to lay out
with the spring, with the same sorry, not Supreme Court, this MSN it yeah. It's
extremely disappointing,
not surprising
being lied to by the
media an by the media on the right as well.
They're telling you some things that are absolutely not true, and I believe this is a setup to to
I to I I couldn't say that this this could be a set up,
to try to blame this whole thing on conservative Republicans
and finally have a progressive bill that does
bring you single payer healthcare. I'm
I'm going to show you why
this matters to you and what this
actually means to your life
and will give that to you coming up in a second
Glenn Beck program.
The Glenn Beck program welcome to it the Merge
studios in LOS Angeles, California,
hello and welcome. I'm so glad that you have tuned in today. Now there's a few things that I want to talk to you about on the Senate. First of all the Cbo scoring came out, and it's not good news.
As for the Republicans, so
let's look at what the Cbo said now remember. The Cbo is is
always low. They
never come out and said: oh my gosh. If this is
maybe so expensive and it turns out that it's cheap is
always low, I don't know how they do it, but they have a perfect record of
under estimating the cost of everything. So here's. Why
came out and said yesterday? Still
you know it's interesting, the big takeaway from pretty much everybody is
twenty. Four million people
will be uninsured because of this plan. Rachel Maddow tweeted that twenty four million people losing insurance is roughly equivalent to the population of fifteen particular states. So
it is a big deal, the only thing being reported from the Cbo report. It will also reduce the number of people on Medicaid by fifteen million right twenty twenty six about, but that's taught that's part of the total twenty four million right and again, it's not going to that's not gonna happen because they're not that that's not being an active until like twenty twenty four twenty twenty five. This is
then they'll never get there. They'll never get there. First of all. Obviously
I've Congress's from now. We cannot count on them to maintain these cuts to Medicaid at main and again, you know part of the
cuts to Medicaid come with an offset of increased payments from the exchanges, which is what we typically referred to as Obamacare.
So it really isn't it's it does eight in these are a lot of these are just partisan lies about
people who want to defeat the bill or the people want to praise the bill. So what
is the twenty? Four million number, the important part about that that everybody needs to know when you're talking to your friends today, and they said, oh twenty, four million people are going to lose in sure.
The most important part about that is. The vast majority of those people are going to lose insurance because they are not going to have someone come into their home and what their insurance policy up and take it away. They're going
to choose not to sign up these are people
or forced into signing up now because of the fee they emphasize
only because of the fee, and when the
he goes away, the Obamacare individual mandate fee they will choose not to purchase insurance anymore, so that is not the same as taking it from them right I want to. I want to really make sure that everybody understands the
the individual mandate happened, because if you don't have the mandate and
understand the free market system, insurance isn't insurance. If I
can go and buy ensure. If I go to the doctor- and he says you have cancer- and I say
crap, I don't have any insurance, don't worry son, I'm your uncle SAM sign up today
and even though you've just been diagnosed with cancer and have
but your insurance lapse and haven't had it, maybe even in your entire life the Amer.
Can people are here to bail you out? Okay, alright!
Well, that's not insurance! That's a guaranteed health program
that everybody gets it now
problem with. That is you still
running a sham operation and
instead of saying we have a single payer system that everybody just pays extra tax.
We all have insurance and we don't ever have to worry about signing up. What we're doing is
we're taking the free market and telling it you cannot make a profit you can.
You must take all of these risks and
by the way, it's not,
they just have to take you.
I cannot raise anyone's rate because
let their insurance elapse elapse. That's what Happ!
If you let your insurance lapse,
they know you're, not a safe bet. You haven't been paying in the pool, and this is the
idea of when we say we're all in this together. It means that all of us
all of us have to pay
eighty something in so
whether it's you know
it's the windows mite, whether it is
ten dollars a month but you've
need something in you, pay it in.
But what's happening is all of the paperwork, all
the all of
teams of attorneys. All of the teams of people
to make sure that paperwork is in is sucking up all of the money that should be used for
health insurance. Now,
let me tell you what's happened because of it.
You were told that
if you do this, you would get
two thousand five hundred dollars decrease. You
free family in America would save twenty
five hundred dollars at least.
In the first year alone, instead,
we have had a one hundred and forty percent increase
in your premium. Why.
Well, that makes you hate now think of this. Think of this is strategy, who do you hate.
I don't hear the people hating the government, I don't
people hating the
or the Republicans. I
hear them hating, who
turns companies, the
surance companies are getting rich, okay. Well, gee
but they're being forced to do stuff and a lot of them called this on themselves. So I don't have a lot of sympathy for them, but the
system doesn't work, it is going
going to collapse.
I hate the insurance companies
and nobody is saying well, it was the federal government that put unreasonable rules in that forced
these companies to do this and it increases their their cost of doing business and so
passing on all of that risk. Now to those who are paying for insurance, it's exactly what we said would happen. It's
happening now. So here's, what's here's what I think
is uh is happening and we have-
we have some sources on background
and I will tell you that what you're hearing in the
left media is an app
lie and
but you're hearing for the most part in the right is an absolute lie. The
the mainstream media wants to destroy Donald Trump and
Republicans. The right
media wants to protect Donald Trump and
GOP establishment, your
being asked to believe Mitch. Mcconnell forget Donald Trump
you're being asked to believe Mitch. Mcconnell
people
like the guys
that guardian and you know the
likely's, the TED cruz- is the Rand Paul's
people who have stood by their principles, an never wavered those people.
People are being blamed for this. Now
he tell you what is happy
you're, going to hear and
already hearing it from people like Hugh Hewitt, who I really like and respect. I, like you Hewitt. I don't have anything bad to say.
But I know he's one of them that is on currently beating the drum, which
is the Mitch Mcconnell lie. Ah,
that lie is that the part
commentary and has said you cannot
repeal Obamacare you have to choose,
and so they wouldn't the parliamentarian would not allow them to fully repeal Obama care. There are
two provisions that have to
repealed
they did is they repealed the mandate, but they did
repeal that you have that any
with pre existing conditions or cancer, and they find it today they don't have a pre
listing condition, see when we hear pre existing conditions. We think of people like my daughter
who has had cerebral palsy. Her whole life and in
is struggling and trying to get her on insurance is crazy. What were
also talking about are those
people who are irresponsible now
some can't afford it saw
are irresponsible that are low,
I'm not paying for it. I pay for insurance when I can just go, get it when I'm really really sick,
I'm young and then
in a car accident, and I don't have insurance because I don't need it now. This is going to happen to me.
All of a sudden we're paying one million dollars bill that
That is the person that you need to concentrate on, because that person is direct
Oakley influencing your one hundred and forty percent increase, so we're
king rid of the mandate that says to that twenty something you have to have insurance. You have to have it.
We're getting rid of that, but we're not
rid of the
Prince company. You have to pay for that person who didn't have insurance and that you
cannot raise the rates if they've left there,
if you've let their if they've let their insurance policy lapse. Those
are the two drivers that affect you.
Those are those two things are the reason you've had one hundred and forty percent increase without those two.
Insurance rates will go down and you'll be able to afford your insurance again with
those two 2in
and the mandate taken.
Your insurance rate is going to go up fast.
Then it has under Obamacare.
To me, this is that what they're doing is they're blaming the parliamentarian.
I want you to understand that isn't
absolute one hundred percent total lie the
The leadership of the GOP under Mitch. Mcconnell have lied
those senators who were part.
Of the committee who were saying look at. We want to work this out. We want to work this out, but you have to get rid
of those two things, because that's the main driver and the pain
and for America is the
insurance costs the premiums going up if
premiums weren't going up, you wouldn't be having a problem with this, but
premiums are going up.
And so you have to reduce the premiums, they say:
ok, ok, ok, ok and never never did anything about it
and now they're running out the clock
and there saying that the parliamentarian is
the one who
has stopped it,
but I want you to understand the part
and Terry and was never asked.
The parliamentarian has ruled you can take all
or none of it.
There is no reason to take half of it.
For parliamentarian rules, it's either all or none
and the leadership in Mitch Mcconnell have lied to the members of Congress. Now,
don't know why, but it
here's to me as though they're running out the clock, because.
They want a progressive insurance program, they
do want sing
who payer health care, they won
and control of this, and they do
don't mind squeezing you to get
universal health care because if they fix it now,
it's going to be so painful by eighteen, they're going to have another plan to fix it and
this time they're not going to have to worry about those those
constitutionalist like TED, Cruz
and Rand. Paul and my
weekly they're not going to worry about those people because they have a long discredited, do
not believe the parliamentarian lie because that cigs
exactly what it is. I ask
I ask you to ask yourself.
Do you believe Mitch Mcconnell.
Or do you believe, Rand, Paul TED Cruz MIKE Lee and those who are around them.
Something is wrong here.
And it is the usual suspects unfortunate
because we are so split and we are
so many of us are feeling we need to protect the president, because the press is lying that were not look.

do the back of the back of the book here where you talk about
bill of rights in the constitution,
and you talk about how this was.
Not set up to give people rights
This was set up to receive
strain the government from
infringing on those rights, and that you know you make the pie
through the book that we really need to stand up for our rights and our natural rights and stop the government,
stealing those liberties, but it seems mark
at every turn. You
we try, but it just doesn't
they don't care? First of all, people
need to know what these rights are. So they know what they're defending and we always did
custom at a surface level.
And they need to understand these, these go back since the beginning,
mankind, thousands and thousands of years. This idea progressivism is old time tyranny. Ah,
and what I tried to explain to people is, you know we talk about Freedom July force coming up, what is
but mean, and where did they
founders of our country? Get these ideas from they didn't invent them in these philosophers, didn't invent them.
You know we rely on people like believe it or not: folks, Aristotle and
Cicero and Lock and Martha skew Ann Burke and they're not taught.
The other side relies on people like Marx and Hegel and Russo, and they are taught and so you're not going to get.
Your children are not going to get what they need to get from our public schools,
colleges and universities, they're going to get the opposite of it d

all the chatter that's going on tv and even some radio and so forth, and understand more d,
We what's going on here. Well we're going to get caught in the weeds and will never get out of the week yeah. So that's what purpose of the book! So so, let's
look because I was so thrilled to see that you are really
engaging in the fight on progressivism
in a in a historic sense
and you talk about the early leaders of progressivism and where it came from, and how it's working now we're seeing this now play out and
we're seeing it play out in in this Obamacare discussion, and you know there
lying there
absolutely lying and I mean the progressives like Mitch. Mcconnell,
I don't know, I don't know
what game is being played, but this has
nothing to do with the parliamentarian, and I don't know
if they just are trying to sweep out any constitutionalists and discredit them. I'd,
don't know if they really do want to single payer health system. I mean, but you can't trust the repub
chickens, because the Republicans have
they were the guys who started the first. Progressive Party
tried. Theodore, Roosevelt, I mean, let's be honest. The Republican Party is a progressive party, the Democrat
party is a radical, progressive party,
but there is no constitutional party and I don't want to hear about these little third parties. They get about. Twelve thousand votes- I'm not talking about them. I'm talking about the two major parties and the
problem we have here is that we
debating
within their environment it's never about
whether the government should be involved in this. It's how much government should be involved in this. It's never about Indivi
civil liberty, individual choice, it's always about collectivism, eh.
What the left does you you hear Bernie Sanders. Do this now and Nancy Pelosi thousand
the people hundreds of thousands of people will die if we do
have Obama care. Are you kidding me? I mean oh boy,
ok what is it eight years old? So now, all of a sudden, hundreds of thousands of people will die if we don't Obama care and the problem is the Republican Party
been conquered in much of society's, been conquered, there's, not a single department, a single agency, a single program
a single entitlement, that's
about being illuminated, that's been curtailed, and why is that? It's? Because we are on
trajectory. So what I'm saying in this book is alright, let's step back, let's understand
the genius of our founding
crisp. What is meant by the declaration of independence? We all embrace it now. What do they mean by natural law, natural rights? On the other hand, this other side, these two forces that are
only fighting each other, although our forces fighting less
these days. What is all that about that mix of the far tearing ism and tear any and state and all the rest of it? Where does that come from? And you know
you ignore the academics and you ignore the intellectuals at your own peril,
because in the end there is a one
decide our politics in this:
the battle over the future of America. It's a battle over humanity and the central is
the decision making in the hands of self claimed masterminds who
seek to impose will and then dress it up as the general good and the general will and the benefit of the people
they are the modern day tyrants and they can call themselves per
I service all they want, but they are what they are. Is there.
Is there a way mark to to reach
what sixty percent of the nation
and and and
together and I'm not talking policies, I'm talking about principles of of
natural law.
I believe that there are people on both sides that are problems and
Besides that,
can share the same values that we can
re on. Here's the problem.
I believe there's some people like that, but I don't think this
two percent and I'll tell you why one of the things, the
progressive philosophers and then there's so called thinkers
croly awhile, while
explain, explain rickrolling it.
I people need to know who I mean he was the worst of the work and he born in
sixty eight, he lived in eighteen 1830s, seen an enormous influence on Theodore, Roosevelt among others and his,
Parents were in a radical leftists and they they they
intellectual lies. In my view, totalitarianism, and he embraces.
Hey going and Marx in their own way, mostly Hegel Ann,
and so do the others, and it's this in order to find in order.
Find the individual to find their self realization, that's what they call it
have to surrender their personal free will. They have to surrender
individualism if there to enjoy
sort of a parrot the cycle existence. So if there's a collect,
If there's a community and the more perfect, this collective
community becomes the more perfect the
dividual becomes and your
lesson. Individual you're part of this, this magnificent society- and you can- you- can hear some Marxism in this too, and what this this is called. This is the
german idealism. It's called historicism March, changed it to material historicism, not that not everybody's eyes to glaze over. So Crowley takes this
any quote: unquote. American eyes is this, and so they have to attack,
declaration of independence, they have to attack the.
Person of unalienable individual rights. They have to attack the right to life, liberty and
pursuit of happiness because they have to have conformity every
it has to be running in the same direction. In order to get to this paradise, this
Paradise, which is nothing more than the personal agenda of these individuals, which they
seek to impose on the country. This massive bureaucracy we have is an outgrowth of the progressive movement and it exists
the purpose of getting around our constitutional system elections, don't
better, they don't go away. It doesn't show
change the overall direction of the bureaucracy they
have given themselves tenure union protections, civil service protection, they're, not experts, but not professionals,.
They're pushing an ideology not all of them, but as a rule,
and so whether we have an election or not there, they are re distributing
south issuing regulations and fiaz issuing fine
and penalties, whether Conway
so so. We're not the president says so under the american people want it or not, the will of the p
well is irrelevant and yet Glenn they always dress it up when
listen to guys like Bernie Sanders as populism, they always dress it up as popular sovereignty that p.
What does urban the people need at? I stand for the people and yet at all
this involves centralized government. It always involves a government oriented program, and so
point is that this war on our founding of this war on the declaration, this war on the constitution, separation of powers is, is the greatest disaster to these people, because
they need a centralized authority that imposes its well. So we can get.
You know the end of the rainbow. That's why you see
the attacks on the constitution silver, but what I put in the book or the exact quotes these people smearing these principles attacking the deck
patient attacking the constitution. They call
individualism that you and I and our listeners believe, and they call old individualism, there's a new individualism.
Will you surrendered to the state you, and I talk about liberty,
for liberty to you and me. That means this circle of liberty around us that Aristotle talked about into Tocqueville, talked about and lock talked about this circle of liberty that the
may not penetrate and the extent to which the government
is involved in our liberty and needs to intervene. It must not seek to do so to dominate us and that's not what Obama CARE
prayers. That's not with all these other things that they've created on the left. It is intended
change rush to remake us
and the reason you get increased centralization, an increase police state policies and tactics is because it goes against
fans nature. It goes against history.
All right, I've been no. No,
how long do I have you? Let's see,
think about it in to break I'm going to come back clarity. Maybe
he meant for just a second. Let me take a quick break with
Mark Livin 'cause? I want to pick it up where he just left. I have a couple of questions on on how we can come together because he's right, that is the problem
now. How can we change that back in a second with
Mark Levin. Let me
save her sponsor this half hour, not only they make great safes, but they make it really easy to own one and they're all built here in America. Liberty
safe dot com? You can buy a liberty safe at a great price and received twelve months interest. Free payments with zero down and zero APR
They even offer liberty safe for as low as fifteen dollars a month and the the biggest problem with liberty safe- and this is honestly this-
is from their testing, they do a
a survey after people have the safe
and the number one complaint on Liberty safe
is. I should got a bigger one,
because once you have a liberty, safe you'll realize how much stuff you have in your house that should be in a safe and really it's
not about the safe it's about.
Do you have in the safe,
is no liberty without sick.
Pretty what do,
you put into your safe that provide
aids. You real liberty, liberty, safe
dot, com, home of the best base built safes on the planet. Liberty, safe
at com, do what I did have one installed in your home now, with twelve months interest, free payments or is lowest
fifteen dollars a month on approved credit,
it is libertysafe dot com, your listening to the Glenn Beck program.
The Glenn Beck program we have mark Livin on he is the author of rediscovering Americanism, it's his new book for end of the program,
one of the more brilliant people on the end of Glenn Beck. Thank you very much mark. We have become
good friends over the last year or so, and you know we don't always agree on everything, but the who does and- and we
agree on far more than we disagree, I think more.
You said on your radio show about the Senate Health CARE bill that the two part
they have abandoned capitalism. It goes really do
point of your book. If we don't, if we
band our principles, we never get the country back that we remember as a kid
all the good parts without all the bad parts
we are, I mean the they,
the are abandoning all of that. So let's use your book and
how do we get people to understand that
this is a really bad deal that Mitch Mcconnell has just given us and- and we
got to stand up for our own individual right, I think for
so we have to stop defining ourselves through the Republican
Party or Washington or whatever it's a. We have
get back to our own souls in our own hearts and our own belief systems and it's
I take the citizenry to do that and you know I include a letter in this book from Thomas Jeffrey,
the John Adams, which he look
back at Rome and he basically says
Cicero Brutus Cato none of them could save run.
The people lost their virtue. No system can be put in place to save
what I'm saying. Is we the people with our fan
with our friends at the grassroots? We
need to run everything by Mitch, Mcconnell or the public school
system or whatever we can read. We can talk, we can have
discussions like like the colony
did and so forth, and so on at the dinner table at our restaurants and our church
and synagogues and so forth. But we can't have those discussions that we don't really know the number the matter and that's what I'm
find a guy that I don't know if this will have any influence or not if it affects a thousand people. That's a good thing. I don't expect it to change history. Glenn!
It's taken us over a hundred years to get here. It's probably going to take us if we can or
three years to get out of this, but I don't know-
I couldn't agree with you more, and it is the reason that I have kind of let my shoulders kind of go down a bit of
taking on such a big fight it. The fight has to
fought by the individual and we all have to choose
in the fight or not
live in. The name of the book is rediscovering Americanism and the tyranny of progressivism mark always good.
Have you please say hi to Julie for me and and good luck on on everything, your your working on and your beautiful wife, God bless. God bless, read
Discovering Americanism mark live back in a second Brad Thor next hour.
The Glenn Beck program, guys I'd like to talk to you about what mark was talk.
In about an, and can we go theoretical here for just a second
on on his?
What can he you know? He makes a really good case in his book of
what we need to learn about, progressivism and
and what the answers are.
It is. It is so good to see, finally that
press ism
is being known by its historic route
I mean, if you remember, on this program. Ten years ago we started talking about it and nobody care
about the historic roots, and we made the case.
For probably two years completely alone say no, no, the
story could roots must be understood by the mass, not just the intellectuals
and- and it is the disease.
Or the cancer that is eating the constitution and the declaration of independence and as he points out in his new book, it was designed to be that openly designed to be that
But have you guys seen his book yet? Have you
the cover of his book? Yeah?
what we had here- okay, so
Oh the cover of his book. Is he
standing by an american flag- and I I want to have a a
an intellectual discussion here for a second and show you in action.
What I believe is happening in America if you
the cover of his book,
it is perfect for the
audience that he's trying to reach he's, trying
reach the conservatives, and so he
he is standing with. You know full.
So you know it's Mark Levin.
His is in bold up above so you know exactly what is but forget that
no it's Mark Livin. Let's just say this is a book
that is on the shelf and it's trying to reach everybody.
So you put Joe blow up there and Joe Blow is, is on the cover, and so it's not Mark's book and it's trying to appeal to everyone.
What can you see in this book, that is, that is a
not just a a turn off.
But confusing or
made to look like poison
anyone on the left- and I don't mean the hard left I mean just the liberal mindset.
If you're just looking at visuals and you're looking at the at the title and everything else was looking at the whole cover. What's the problem.
The american flag, the American,
I guess one there's two that jump out at me
If I could have done book,
people don't like words.
Okay, so there's the american flag and then the title rediscovering Americanism.
We have these moral foundations
and in these moral foundations there is, there is
care and harm. There is sanctity and degradation
let me use that one is a prime example 'cause, it's so clear cut with the left.
Really is nothing sacred, and
People say that
global warming is becoming a religion.
It's really not, they don't someday some,
but generally speaking, they don't look at the
and it is sacred. If they did,
they would not leave the trash behind. When they have these big global warming
festivals, they would know
not get onto their jet, because the earth is
decred and they really truly believe that so.
There is nothing that is sacred and that's why you see degradation,
and so many shows, and so many things that are produced by you know die hard progg.
Liberals it
and go to really whore
place is really dark.
You know and degrading places easy because there is no sanctity, and
Degradation is left to go. There's no balance. What
What global warming is really all about is the idea that there is
oppression.
The main more
full foundation of
of the of the left is care.
Not harm but care and
oppression.
Now the flip side of oppression is liberty, but they don't have
both sides of that moral pillar.
They only have oppression. The under
stand, liberty to be the end of oppression,.
Well, who are they teaching and who have they been taught? Is the great oppressor America
and more specifically, they White Europe
in Anglo Saxon that came over, that started America, and so we've raped the earth
we have stolen. Everyone else is history,
everyone else is land and we as white men and in particular White Europe,
and mainly american men, are the oppressor.
So when you see things, the reason why they don't cry, will you know when their food the end when they see soldiers come back? Generally speaking, I hate to make this all
so general, but generally
speaking, the reason why they don't look at the troops. The same way is because
it's an american troop, Anime
Americans are seen as the oppressor so when they leave the garbage on the ground, it's not because the
global warming has become
a religion. It's because
they're trying to stop the end of oppression. They are
trying to make sure that America is stopped. It
that's why they don't you don't hear them talking about China. China is by far the worst on the planet, and yet the
smog is so bad everybody's wearing masks, and you can't see the skyline almost everyday, and yet you
people like Al Gore saying China is ahead of us, know: they're, not it's about oppression,.
So here's a book on liberty and it's a book
it is specifically aimed towards
our tribe, and so the book works
and the book works in its design. However, if
you want to read, if you
any liberals to read that it can
can't be designed to look like that, because
they see the american flag, they see Americanism and they
assume Americanism is oppression and ah
the flag and Americanism to them screams fascist.
It screams that this is. This is
something that is a populist
a nationalist kind of movement. We
we have to find a way to communicate, not the,
not in the in the in the instance here of Mark live because what Mark LIVE is doing is he's targeting another group
but when we want to target the left, we
have to understand their sensibilities and we have
to understand what they
if you're never going to change their minds on much of this, your name
we're going to be able to
move them. Unless we speak their language, they don't
understand. Liberty x
through the lens of the end of oppression
and depression, is caused by the White Male American.
So now, how do we make the case for the
constitution and live
the as we know it when it was
written by white male Americans
who were also slave owners? They've set
this up and built this perfectly and
I'm reading a book that may come out, maybe in the fall probably next year, and
it's about an event that happened in nineteen, fifty nine that nobody
about and is as important as the
aggressive movement and it's something that
nobody's ever discuss. We found this war like war, a minute what this can't be true.
And it's brought us to this point and it is
the literal document
design two
destroy white male Americanism.
And if they can just make those three things, the oppressor
they win with half the country. So
how do we get into that? Head
is Ben
that has had such a great foundation laid
against us.
How do we use the
own language? How do we piggy
on their own language to get in to be a
to make a point that perhaps
perhaps that is not the full story.
Perhaps there is oppression in some cases
and real freedom and the setting of people free in other
cases, any ideas. Any thoughts is this,
and I just did I make any sense at all yeah. No, I mean, I think your point. I mean you and you've made this point about your own books. Many times I think, with the
going back to the old School Real America days, where they put a flag behind you remember. Your book has a farm up farm in a barn behind you right and they push really hard to get the flag on the barn right,
the barn and the bar to they were like it's got to have a farm with corn and
a barn and a flag on it, and you
at the time where in the wonderful farmland of Philadelphia Pennsylvania, which really I think,
green is produced there, but I mean it's it's a true. I think
it's it's a matter of who you're trying to you're trying to repeal to the you know what a lot of this you're talking about is from Jonathan Heights book and- and it talks about this
specifically in that you hit a a point of
your intuition, hits first, so people
back to an intuition before they even bother with the reasoning behind it,
hey see the book. They see Mark Levin, they see
the flag and they say
Americanism and they will not pick up the book right. Liberal will not pick this book up its it. Your intuition hits first, you say no, I don't want to read that book and then, even if there's
your brain goes to work to justify that decision. That initial decision so like it's that
how I think is this is not just a left. This is the right as well yeah, it's all of us all of us, and it comes to the point of you,
A brain essentially works as a your own press secretary to justify your initial decision in your brain works as the Sean Spicer or the Jay Carney to just
If I would have decision you made initially, and so if your initial decision was, I don't like that book, because I don't like Mark Levin, I don't like lead back the american flag.
Oh they're, trying to jam patriotism down my mouth. It doesn't
how good the arguments are inside You'Re- probably never going to come along in this you're really trying to consider and be, you know, really being nuanced and care for your thing. If you are, if you are a freak of human
nature yeah right! Then, you really were talking about. Three percent of the population will go against their got and-
justification, it's it's almost impossible to do to the point about
Even the people who study this as academics, yes, show no better record than the average person and being able to accomplish it. We're
we are you know
I've really been studying as much as I can.
Human, behavior and and behavioral science, because that's what God
here gang.
Got, us here was behavioral science and we
have to use behavioral science back.
Ok, nobody on the right even knows it uh
and I mean it's.
It's what we have to do if we're going to come back together, you want to have a civil war, we can have a civil war. I do
want to be involved in it. I don't want to pitch for it. I don't want to, but I don't want anything to do with it,
because civil war is usually a lot of people dead and it's rare that they work out. Well,
revolutions, never workout. Well, ours was the only one
out well,
the best thing we can do is find a way to come together and it
be interesting to see Mark Levine's book, repackage,
Andre written by him using behavioral
behavioral. What do you call it studies to
be able to re
the position it and change its language.
To see if you could make the case for the con
institution and the declaration of independence, they just
don't see them anymore. It's like speaking a foreign language to them. We have to
that code.

The glass back program- hello, America, the one- the only this time- we really mean it Brad for is joining us next. You don't want to miss this interview with Brad for the bread store next.
The blaze radio network on demand.
Hello, America
today we had such a fascinating interview with Brad, for usually you know, usually people when they have a chance to be on a national radio program. They just take it like, but Brad was here he was here early off and he was ready to go, and I appreciate that I felt a little guilty because I read half of his book and and then and then and then and then lost it. So I wasn't able to finish the entire block, but you know that wasn't just to you know, a turnabout is fair play between friends hi. I wanted to have him back on a second time to talk about his new book, which is absolutely fantastic. Brad Thor has eleven point five million books in print. He is now known as America's favorite author. He is very good friend and his latest book is called use of force and I believe, I'm older I, the ending, could suck, but the half that I read is tremendous and I believe it is is best book yet use of force. Good friend, never controversy, old Brad Thor begins right now, fusion of entertainment and enlightenment. This is the welcome to the program. Mister Brad, Thor, hello, Glen. How are you? How are you thank
good. How are you I am? I am. I am excellent and thank
for your praise of this book. You know the entire time I was writing it with my Navy seal protagonist who's working for the CIA. I just said you know what what might pat do
in this situation. You know
pizza or stewardship in you know, dropping a dangerous foreign country. What might they do and they were really my Northstar. My lodestar
yeah it was. It was the point you understand, because I read the book. It was to point you in the
direction of.
Go there right.
It was kind of the George Castanza.
Well are here just go the opposite direction, right, right, ok, Brad!
I want to talk to you about a lot of things. How much time do we have? Do? We have quite a bit of time or you just
time? Is you need? No? No, I'm fun. Let's, let's go do it! Nobody else can wait. We had such a good 'cause. We had such
good conversation yesterday and
happens to people. I know it happens to people all the time where you know Jimmy there on Jimmy Kimmel or something and Jim
will just stall install install and then the guest walks out
halfway through is like. Oh sorry, I forgot you know. So
I'm sorry, thanks for coming on back. Okay, so
add reading the what you say. No that's what sue me
as the match when he cheats amount of time you but we'll. Have you back
yeah we'll? Have you back Brad in reading the book
there's, a couple of things that I'd like to talk about and and not really give away the plot of the book, because everybody has to discover it themselves, but you
who are talking at the beginning about the
the way these. I guess what you get.
Refugee ships are being packed
aged over in the Middle EAST, whose
packaging Jian and how they're doing it
and it is obscene. I have
I mean I've, I've I've not yet, and you would think with liberals.
You would see these kinds of reports I have.
I have not seen reporting like this
all. Is that really the way it happens? It
is, I have to tell you there is
lovely lovely reporter at the daily beast. Should I give her a big shout out to big shout out to actually need knowledge into this book, and that is the Rome Bureau chief for the daily beast, and I reached
found her, but the friend
current social media and
incredibly helpful, because I was reading her articles about the refugees dated the connection with the Mafia and ISIS and you're the
the coin. The term faction Glen and what I do is faction, where you don't know where the facts send in the fiction begins, but the refuge
crisis and how ISIS is using it and how the mafia's even involved and how their smuggling weapons into Europe for terrorist attacks is amazing, but
This person a barbie at the daily beast in Rome, couldn't have been nicer. She really was terrific and she has to be brave. Really
yeah explain a little without giving you know any of this away. 'cause, it's so great. The way you lay it out but explain, what's happening with the refugees.
So in the in my thriller. The way it kicks off is in real life. We discovered a laptop in a terrorist, it's safe house and when they opened it up and look like to just come from best buy, never been used, but when the drill down, they found the real life. All of these chilling a plot things they had planned for Dallas in New York in Rome and Paris and London. In the c I a
never caught the guy, and so I had been reading barbie stuff on the daily beast about the refugee crisis. I'm concerned ISIS is threatened to sneak people into Europe. Terror
in refugee crisis crisis on these boats,
I started reading about it and looking in these smugglers are bad, I mean they are putting
people I mean people are suffocating in the holds of these fishing boats that are not. Is he it's bad
no to get all the way.
It is worse than the slave trade ever was. Yes, they
torturing and raping people? They are splitting families up and deciding you get to go to Europe, but we're going to keep your daughter and your wife here there
people that have never captain a boat before and they're putting a a Kalashnikov. The guys head, saying: ok, you who paid us your life savings to go to Europe you're going to pilot this boat and they give him enough.
Cool to just get outside the territorial waters of Libya, and then they hand them a they've. Given him a satellite phone with one phone number pre programmed into it, and that is the Italian Coast Guard and these boats are
drinking and thousands of people are, I mean it's a. It is a
Tarian cry I mean it is. It is beyond barbaric beyond
Rific what is going on, and I just thought you know this
was fascinating, and if I can my my bring bring a little light to this and how evil these smugglers are and how well connected they are with ISIS, the the mafia
I'd be doing some good with it. So why are they putting these boats out that are just not seaworthy worthy
giving him enough fuel? Is it just a because
massive chaos on the seas, so the boats and the refugees that are work
in with them get in well. That is a big, that's a big part of it. So
they only it's Libya right, so they don't have like a great ship building infrastructure there and they're, taking boats that even these poor fishermen won't use to go out and fish on anymore and their Fillingham full of his.
People. They cannot and just shoving him out. It is a money making operation. I mean these these, these guys,
the scum of the earth they are treating in human misery, the things that these people go through it in these
jeez are trying to escape their countries to get a better life. We can argue about what the best way is to do it, but it you know you you've got these people, it is in the the women
If a wolf God forbid a woman, is pregnant or menaced rating? With some of these muslim men, I mean they've thrown women overboard. I mean bad stuff very, very bad.
So you,
go in and I don't. I don't want to give the story away, but I want to take
U2 one place that I just thought was riveting
is when Scott
It comes in the main character. What is this? The 17th book with him by seventeen thriller yeah?
yeah and you can read them in any order. If you haven't read a Brad Thor Book, you can start with use of force. You don't need to have read anything in mind before so.
Scott is the main character and
he's going in to get a really bad guy and he
He goes into a store and only remember where it was. Is it Libya? Where was it where you went with a satellite phones yeah that we the way you would track a smuggler down, is if you found a satellite phone you'd want to know who sold it to whom and you pick up the trail there now is just ticks.
Blame the store scene is the
from real life.
There's a lot of this, that's real, so the
smugglers, all by their satellite phones from the same
in company in the Emirates because they have the best coverage over the Mediterranean, so give him that piece of humanity that they actually want the satellite phone to work when the boat is sinking and these people are being fed upon by sharks. You hope that the
italian Coast Guard, which is hours away, can find a way to rescue him. But so the scene,
my guy, gets so terrorist.
Remind body washes ashore in ITALY, the CIA panicked and they send
Don Havre at my my protagonist out to retrace this guy steps to say what was he up to in? Are we going to see some mega attacks in the US this summer? Go retrace his footsteps and-
Arvest, knowing that these guys use the same satellite phone company figures out who bought this satellite phone and it tracks
to a small electronics shop in Libya, which is Bae
based on a real little shop. That was trafficking in these phones and hard.
It goes in
to to try to bribe this guy giving cash first and the guy won't take it and in the middle of trying to convince this guy to give up the smuggler, Libby's
overrun with different militia groups? I mean they are a failed state. It is bad in Libya, three militia members pull up outside to actually do a transaction with this guy now harvest stuck
got three militia guys come in and what's he going to do an eight eight eight. Eight, the balls very quickly as the scenes doing that scene was actually based on something one of my. My former special operations guys told me about it. Was it's a pretty terrifying scene, the way the Americans take charge and
and then they take him out
to get some information and the
technology
that you describe is.
In some ways, comforting in other ways, absolutely horrifying
and I want to get to that here in just a second with Brad Thor- the book is
use of force. I want to talk
some about this? I want to talk to about the assassination attempt in the ballpark couple of weeks ago,
perhaps some of the cloak and dagger stuff that is happening now in Washington DC, we'll get to that in just a sack
when we come back first, I want to tell you
gold line. Do you remember the fall
two thousand and seven everybody
I thought we were going to have the longest scicolone record. Everybody people then we're talking about DOW twenty one, twenty one thousand
and I was on the air saying uh. No, you might want to look at doubt. Two thousand one hundred it got down to six thousand
the world was wrong and a few-
people were right. It came
crashing down now. Let's look now the stock market, where
twenty one thousand, what does your gut say? Thirty or ten.
I want you to read an exclusive report. You don't have to buy anything. I want you to read this report from President Reagan's budget director David Stockman. He is I
defying the five threats to the economy and the financial markets that he says are real and overwhelming. I've
add this report you know,
need to have it being prepared. Most of it
is having the information in front of you,
so you can make the right call and prepare yourself calling
this free report at eight hundred and sixty six four hundred and sixty five, three thousand five hundred and forty six. That's eight hundred and sixty six gold line, their expense
standing there price protection program as well for as little as two thousand five hundred dollars. You will
three months of price protection, which means if the price of gold falls in the three months after you buy it. They will
make up that price difference with more gold, so there's no way for you to lose, and that starts at two thousand five hundred.
If you have twenty five thousand dollars or any step in between twenty
one thousand dollars, you get a full year's worth of protection.
No stock on earth will offer that.
I want you to read there.
Orton risk information right now find out of buying gold or silver is right for you at eight hundred and sixty six gold line, eighteen
Sixty six gold line or goldline dot com, the Glenn Beck program, mercury.
The Glenn Beck program, eight hundred and eighty eight thousand seven hundred and twenty seven back welcome back with Brad Thor Brad explained the technology that you that you show in use of force an. I don't think this is going to surprise anyone, but it is the way your care
uses it
it's been used this way.
What else is it used for and explain? It start their first. Ok,
you referring to the way that Havre at breaks the
like phone salesman.
So this is real in this is been used
by somebody that I know and essentially what he did was
open up the laptop in front of the suspect it wasn't going to drill him through the knee caps or anything but
to drone over this guys house and did a split screen that showed the guys, wife and kids, basically in the backyard
and then showed a screen. That's got the underbelly of the drone with the weapons package so that he could say uh
right activate this hellfire missile. If you will and basically
terrified this guy into, if you don't give up the
really bad dude you're working with then we're going to we're going to kill your family,
uh. That was the threat that we know where you live. We've got your wife and children in the crosshairs, and you better give us this bad guy that we want or there's going be trouble, so
I mean the way you wrote it. I mean that just doesn't sound. You know that's
amazing, but when you read it
the way he didn't believe it at first and then he went over the drone flew over his how flew over his store.
And he saw that it had been burned to the ground and he saw in real time and then
the drone starts to fly to the house and he starts to sweat and
He then sees his wife and his child step out on the back patio. It is it's quite terrifying.
How do you feel about that ethically well
I'll tell you the guy in question and readers will get this, the guy in questions are really really bad guy and the main care
that's doing this to him has no intention to harm his wife or children. It's a psychological ploy here.
And that's what we get our our men and women out way doing some of the the country's most dangerous didn't have to make calls and have to decide how to do things so we're just going
So hang on just say: I don't have a problem
if we are using that and we don't kill his family, but then how
do you have any credibility? I mean he has
to die at that point
if he says no, he he
yes to die because
he'll go back and say they used. This ploy mean they'll, never use it.
Right it. Never it doesn't work, they don't follow through on it. They draw the line in the sand and I jumped right over it and there were no consequences right, yeah
Would you would have to, and that's that's the benefit I get is a fictional out there is that I I get the ultimately choose how the guys going to react to this, but again it was from
talking with someone who had done something similar and was able to assess what
I mean that's what they do, they look at these people that they have to interrogate in decide. What's going to work with him that the more
information you can have about a subject before you even sit down to talk to him, the better off
you're going to be, and sometimes desperate, desperate times
call for desperate measures. That's a big thing! I talk about in the book. It's like. Ok, we're a nation of laws, not nation of men, and we put rules on our intelligence
services and in our special operations community, and should they be allowed to cut
in.
You know how desperate that things have to be. Is a war
look for one american life? You and I talked about Benghazi. I don't care that they
couldn't refuel jets. They should have been going supersonic with american jets from ITALY over Benghazi, breaking every piece of glass in that town and then run until they run out of fuel and dump him in the med. An will pick up the pilots. We can build more planes,
uh. So I'm a big believer and I think that's the fun part of my books. Is you read these and you're like ok, not only that makes sense, but I really hope that's what we're doing out there with the bad guys so
Brad. We are looking at a
much more dangerous world than we were when we first started talking you- and I were
much more hypothetical really.
You know when we started talking ten years ago on
this world could be like your book
is now absolutely these things are going on and we are face
sing these kinds of threats. No doubt in my mind that what you talk about with the refugees, what you show what happening in Paris in your book is absolute
happening right now.
Are you more optimistic or less us
optimistic. Then you were five or ten years ago on the state of the western world. I
so actually more optimistic on how we're going to combat it? Ok, I actually thing
and you know I was not a trump supporter. I worked on Rick Perry's campaign, my family and I pray for Donald Trump and the people around him on a daily basis that they're going to be successful, 'cause we'll all be successful yeah. I actually think that the
administration can take the big
leaps and do the hard work that needs to be done. I number one sink. You know we here
after the Orlando massacre that this guy was on the FBI's radar. There wasn't enough to get him so
they had to let him go Intel
and services in the western world are drowning. We've got open ISIS cases in all fifty states in the US. It's happening in the in in Brussels in in the great Britain there's just not in
intelligence officers and police officers to follow these guys and I think we need to lower the prosecutorial bar. We have uh
world tolerance policy when it comes to child porn, if you're surfing that stuff on the internet you're going to jail, and I think we ought to identify the gate-
the drugs, the on ramps for jihadism. I think we ought to make it a lot easier to prosecute these guys. And if somebody EVA,
sleeps on your couch, and you know the
We're planning an attack. You want to go away not for years, but for decades and people crime data check, you had to go away for your entire life. Let's raise raise the price. I want
Well continue our conversation with Brad Thor his new book is use of force. We're going to talk about what the Supreme Court did yesterday about.
Bringing in refugees from other countries. We talked about that and so much more when we come back with Brad Thor.
You are listening to the Glenn Beck program, mercury.
The Glenn Beck program. I honestly think that the best uh
thinkers on the planet
for geopolitical con
prince is an moves and countermoves
are the guys who write what I call faction fiction that
that is driven by the facts of today. The people like Tom Clancy was when I was growing up, that's Brad Thor today
You know that people, the Russians, actually thought he was a CIA plant that they were
did the CIA was trying to get Russia to think that
that's how the Americans will move,
because he was so accurate in spot on. Brad has been a good
Rendon adviser of mine for a while, because
e fiction writers- this is what they have to do, and they have to make sense. Real,
it doesn't have to make sense fiction- has to make sense so Brad with that, let's, let's
war game, a couple of things, because I can't find a way out that I
comfortable on a lot of these things. Let's start with
North Korea, we have three carrier battle groups out now, the
the time in history that that is ever happened. Where we've had three, we
always gone to war.
We have auto warm warm beer
being drugged and beaten now, according to one general, that they use sodium Penna on him so much it addled his brain. They
beating him. They
dumped him on our doorstep, like a like a mob hit, and
we that they're also putting into production
age missiles, and we
really seem to
have a line because the cross
in that line for us is.
All bad stuff. What do we do? Well
I'll? Take it up another notch for you to add your anxiety over North Korea. You know a lot of people scoffed and laughed when,
did their nuke tests when they detonated underground and said the these are relatively small low yield things ha ha ha. They can't really build a serious big bomb. Well, if you think they're going to put a
on top of a missile, you may not
even worried about you know this thing
equivalent to what the Russians have, but you know the North Koreans to put a couple satellites into outer space.
They put one of these low yield bombs into a satellite in detonated over over the United States. The electromagnetic pulse
is going to wipe us out. It's going to we're going to be
we're. Gonna go back to the eighteen, hundreds in the blink of an eye now she's. I haven't even thought of satellites that thank you yeah. Thank you for the you're. Welcome sleep well
like when you know Charlie, I'm sorry.
I know I don't sleep as it is now you go. Do that? Okay? So so what do we do
What should we do so Kim Jong Moon? Isn't the problem
it's the military and political structure that that holds him up as a figurehead. The reason he's got that stupid haircut. Is it supposed to heart and
to the days of his grandfather, father, which into
sing for me, is that they decided to assassinate his older half brother in an airport where they put up those two dupes, those
diet massage
is whatever it was and they killed the older half
other, which is a really interesting move. I don't know why they did that what they were worried about, what kind of chess pieces are being moved into a sending a message to the the west? It's,
sending a message to their own people. Look at what the West has done,
but also may be sending a message to him.
The people he's afraid of that,
get you wherever you are and
and also a message to the west? I don't care if you have it on tape, I'm not afraid possibility if that's possible yeah. No, it's totally pot,
well, it's possible that they were worried that we some plot afoot to to over throw things into use. The older half brother is somebody to install a new, more democratic regime. There I mean it's hard
understand their their nuts they're, absolutely not in the
isn't, a good way out of this particular because you've got soul sitting on the other side of the DMZ in saw
when you think about it. With eleven million people there they are
Israel of that area. There's bunkers underneath everything, because they're worried about in coming from the North Koreans. There is not a
good way out of this and it's another place. You would have thought that we had
Adam, was scenes inner circle very well penetrated before we went into the to the Gulf WAR scenario, we didn't and
even more blind when it comes to North Korea. We need to get inside these guys all have
is in the closet. The general in the political is behind and we need to work it from the inside out, okay, so
you are a I've, got a gun to your head, I'm forcing you to put your your house down on the bed
table. You bet this and
the in our
favor or it ends with war.
I think China goes in and does something. I think the Chinese are better equipped to overthrow the government and they don't but the problem for China. Is they don't want the mass of humanity running in that's the big thing south korean the Chinese want to contain it. But my money
would be on it actually some sort of a coup in China being the brains behind it that it had to be what I hope all right next to us and
I've got two scenarios left here. Next, one Russia, the election
We know we've known forever that they were going to try to influence our election. They are looking for chaos. They weren't trying to get trump in, although they do
you Like- Hillary Clinton. That was an extra bonus. What they're trying
do is cause chaos and have us lose faith in our own system
and and be able to manipulate. We are
arguing about politics, we're not really facing the problem, and that is that Russia Romney
right russia- is
our biggest geopolitical foe right now and is
a direct threat to the United States at.
How does this one end? Well,
I'll tell you, I know what we should do and it was bill. O'reilly's idea, I don't think we should be. I don't think american credit card companies should be honoring any transactions inside Russia that would be devastating for them absolutely devastating, and if we
I'll drive down oil prices by flooding the market that also huh.
Boot and he's only got winter tree, but we
We really are, I mean you know our fracking. It was too late to stop the Saudis, try to stop us from fracking, it's already too late for that.
We are a big reason why the oil prices are as low. They are in deep trouble economically. Does
not make them more desperate.
Going to make a more desperate, but I think that with the internet and the ability of good russian people to see stories about liberty and freedom from around the world, I think we should be. I think we should be fomenting unrest in Russia. We should be doing everything we can. You know what you're going to do it to us. It
like the whole uh untouchable thing. They send one years of the hospital you send two of those to the more. I think we ought to out manipulate them, but do it with the truth. I think we should ignite the lamp of Lee
party in the hearts of the russian people, because once those lamps are lit, there is no extinguishing it and let's beat him with the truth. 'cause, it's
there's a lot of bad things in Russia and the more we can do to help expose it and get those people to rise up the better it will be for the rest of the
Putin needs to go in all of those sleazy car
people around him. Do
he actually come to our senses as as
guns and Democrats an actually deal with the fact
they are already here, an infiltrating and working on two thousand and eighteen and two thousand and twenty. Do you see us actually getting there or just using
all of these investigations,
one side or the other. I
listen. I know that there are good people on both
side of the aisle that are concerned about this 'cause. They shoot can be on the other foot tomorrow. It can be a republican today, a Democrat tomorrow, that's being either helped or hurt by these efforts. This isn't it
can issue and that's the way we need to focus on it in you know Trump. Is it
one issue he won't touch? You will not condemn the Russians to come right out and say if this happens again
this is going to be the consequences. I don't know why you won't. I don't know, I think he, I think, listen. I think he felt
more comfortable in Saudi Arabia than he did at the NATO summit, I think he admires what he thinks are strong leaders in dictate
are not leaders there there despots, tyrants and for some
he feels an affinity with them. He likes tough guys. I think that's a mistake.
I think real american leadership would be saying you know what you dealt. You did some pretty bad stuff and you know we're not going to ease sanctions on you. I mean it's insane that Congress has got to do what's best for the can
be by blocking the loosening of sanctions in the president's lobbying. For that it that's insane. If I'd written this in a book,
I would have been tossed out of my editors office, Brad, Thor
the author of a new book use of force. If you've never read a Brad Thor book start with this when use of force. It's really really good
eleven point:
three million copies of his books in print today, which is
a staggering number.
At last scenario: the Middle EAST. We are now siding with the syrian Kurds, who are marxist revolutionaries and and terrorists
We are using them
as proxies to fight the Russians and the Iranians
and the Syrians. It's gonna come
and bite us in the Ass
aran is now trying to sweep into a crescent too
start their own caliphate. Turkey,
once there's
ISIS, is kind of on the run, but there more
global operation now
and we seem to have our head in the sand
still, although we are getting better,
how does this one end? Well, I think that
current administration has opened up good channels of communication with the Saudis, the Saudis hate, the Iranians and I think we need to
continue to listen. This doesn't end. Well, I mean this is a long. Protracted
Luke warm war. If you will, where we're not necessarily firing the shots, but we're actively supporting people that are so we're going to see a lot more, this proxy stuff. This does
not end well, but the one thing again that I think the Trump administration can do is every time there's an active islamic terrorism somewhere in the west. I think we ought to ring another concession out of the muslim world, so another drop of
from blood is spilled. We are merciless in having
hammer them publicly for this backwards ideology, and not only
to condemn radical Islamism but to say, okay by the way when he
start letting women vote in Saudi Arabia in just a hammer that to just bring unrelenting pressure for reform in the muslim world, because until that point
really playing whack a mole with terrorists and we really need Judaism spin been reformed, Christianity undergoing a reformation. Islam has not, and it's long past due um Brad, the.
Supreme Court, ruled that the president can say for the safety of Americans we're not going to take these refugees until we work. This out is
honest effort to try to figure out a way to
bring people into the country and
and have an idea of whether they're, good or bad.
You know we've worked it out with
you re one in the Nazarene fund, but it would
be politically incorrect to do that
as a nation. How do you do,
but is there a way to do it? Others,
all the different ways in one of the things is bad communication on part of the Trump administration. These six countries were identified by the Obama administration because they couldn't even tell you if people getting on planes had parking tickets or overdue library books, and we need
the screen, I mean you get on a plane in London anywhere else in the world. Your name is sent to the United States. They know before that. Plane takes off who's getting on the plane and that's important, so that's not an anti mo
one thing, you need that from any country in the world to know who's getting on these plains. That's number one: two, the refugees come
you UN intake centers. They are like they're like bad prison yards. Okay. If you
D is a Christian. When you check into these places, you're going to get killed
what bad things are going to happen in these refugee camps, which is why Christians, don't self identify their and I
I want everybody who is a good honest person, view muslim Christian, whatever to have an opportunity to get to the US. I want you to be a productive citizen, but we
eat this idea again Bill O'Reilly another great idea when he talked about setting up safe zones.
In Syria within the muslim world, so that we don't have to take people here so that they can remain culturally, where they're most comfortable, because they're running on
from something they're not wanting to the United States they're running away from their own problems, and I think we need to keep them in that region where their culturally adept they under
in the culture. If you want to come to America, that's a separate story, but if you're coming to America just cause, we've thrown open the doors and you're getting away from something. That's not exactly a tier one
fudgie that we that we want, if that
center. I'm not I'm not saying we shouldn't take people in times of war and strife, and things like that. But I want to make sure that we're making plenty of room for people who are you know, standing in line and have devoted themselves fully to being here, but I look at the faces
those children and you want to help those people as much as you can. I want anybody who wants to be good american. I want
I'm here and I want to help them, but we need to vet people, we need to vet them. So I uh
really thinks to pat Jeffy. I
all those guys. I think we had to put them on the front lines and just you know, to sit down, have a coke. These guys kind of fifty five
what point and bring your vest and bring your friends it's a three piece suit place. You know Glenn
I've been caring these guys for years. I think the show decline with Adam, let him thirty still good for the country right, Benny PEN with you, the guy that claims he got you out of the mullet haircut. You know just some guys that could do some good work over there into the morning with their show Brad. Thank you. So much God bless you.
