stein as i said your clubs boy schottenstein schottenstein schottenstein center sorry sharks sorry shop and steam people this this and tickets available for that and then another big one into bato on september 29th sorry joe dot com for all that shit you freaks hey this epo sort of the podcast is brought to you by rocket mortgage from quicken loans ooh do you need to buy house you know what the fuck you doing up course you don't how could you if you live your life and you're not a buyer and seller of houses have to be figuring all that shit out well if you want to buy a home folks could be one of the most important purchases you'll ever make but today's fluctuating interest rates can leave you with unexpected higher payments which can turn into a should experience right can turn awesome experience of
find a house until two a big mess that's why quicken loans has created their exclusive power buying process and here's how it works they check your income your assets and your credit to give you a verified approval this gives you the strength of a cat each buyer making your offer more attractive to sellers and once verified you qualify for their exclusive rate shield approval they'll lock your interest rate up for ninety days when you shop for your new home then once you found the one if rates have gone up rate stays the same but if rates have gone down you get keep that new lower rate either way you win meaning that you'd expect from america's largest mortgage lender was it hard to say america's largest because i'm already saying mortgage while i'm reading largest
no not that smart folks i don't know how the fuck i ever got this show america's largest mortgage lender to get started go to rocketmortgage dot com slash rogan roga and rate shield approval only on only val put on certain thirty year purchase transactions additional conditions or exclusions may apply based on quicken loans data in comparison to public data records equal housing lender license in all fifty states nml best consumer access dot org number three thousand and thirty egg whites are these new weights that they just sent me what they are is this a company that's making these weights for shadow boxing but instead of like when they get heavier and
of sending you larger and larger weights they just use denser and denser metals so these things are fucking ridiculously heavy and small but they fit right in your hands they have these little dope finger loops these grips so the weights don't slip out of your hands and you slip them on like a ring and they are killer for shadow boxing or for cardio you can go to the instagram page for egg weights it's just egg weights one word g g w e i g h t s for details and go and check out egg dot com they sent me a bunch of different sets and they're fucking awesome they're really great for shadow boxing and for mma workouts and what i like about them is you're holding these things in your hand they're not bulging out they don't alter your na or punching form because they're basically fit perfectly in your hands they have a three dot zero cardio max set they have a two
found cardio set they have a bunch of different kinds of egg weights and to me they're perfect for just just getting your flow on working your hand combinations without a big bulky weight you know boxing and doing shadow boxing with weighted items whether it's you know different weighted gloves or or whether it's dumb bells it's a longstanding thing but this is a new take on it and i like him they start out at one pounds and they go all the way up to five and you can get a fucking v just workout in doing rounds of shadow boxing with five pounds in each hand so seriously one what the best shadow boxing and striking weights in the world and many pro fighters boxing you're using them you can videos on instagram try them out and even have a thirty day money back guarantee eggweights dot com or uh

train by day joe rogan podcast my name all day style bender ladies and gentlemen salutes her congratulations man do you fight you fight friday night was what you would call like a coming out party captain america yeah people got to see first fight in vegas first main event first top ten guy and i feel like i got to kind of like shot a lot of people look as before that fight a lot of people kind of like shares too how much is too soon like the yes i all he's this and then for me i would take insult to it 'cause they don't know you can't you can't fault him for it so
well you did a smart thing in the way you handled your transition to mma too i mean you really really took your time it did it right once you and i talked for the first time about this how many years ago two thousand and fifteen i think it's all you hit me up on instagram said when i'm going to call you fights yeah i was like yeah we'll take our time 'cause my coach he's the mastermind behind all this using behrman it without him my career being the shitter so he kind of let's just take our time there's no rush see looking for a fight guys like sage northcutt up and down in the ufc fight you know like his rise and stuff like that but you have to you can just come in here would like maybe three fights unless maybe like a mickey goal who also has extensive background in something else like jujutsu but yeah i took time for around the world fort different body types of different styles and then eventually
the the thing that usc would like ok what do you want come on like let's go well you built up a lot of hype outside you built up some hype boxing you built up some hype in mma but you built up a lot of internet hype there was a lot of highlight videos made of you and people like oh shit look at this guy and then dudes were breaking down your your videos like breaking down technique like look how he this up there was one that was rendon dorman who did it recently was it a lawrence kenshin note me was brenda dormant in the solar yesterday yeah brenda norman he did one where you set that to drop and then left high kick him our i know that was a long attention lotus has yeah to those guys are so important affect about that kick would drilling it using taught it to me that set up probably seven days before and he said at this late is the finisher he said wow whatever and then in the fight something happened and i don't even think about it just boom
and it landed and i hurt my foot on his head actually i actually heard because i was a third fight of the night so there's a tournament so the final flight and i hope i understand now is that ok you kind of see me limp a little bit then i went in onnaman just yeah i finished it off there was a beautiful hike dick man the way you set it up with so interesting too because you forced him into this weird battle of erratic movement like you did a lot of this with them got to take care of yeah first a lot of guys think about you with frost hobby what he said yeah take your this crime we bring to frost a hobby treasure on a percent he's a treasure i like the way he thinks i understood a lot constant yeah well i when he's yeah that's what i that's what we do i like to make these guys second guess themselves like just get stuck like he's right here ok i gotta reset right here ok cool cool just got jabbed and then they just get flustered and they can talk the this stuff that we're going do this and this and that and that run it's see it on tv but when tv but when i've had it done to i've got teammates i do it to me all the time if i'm not on my game they do it to me i'm like so this is
it feels like i don't want to be on the other side of that so if you come in over train or just say ok will catch me on some days beast where is my guyver three of those in like three weeks shane young in singapore myself friday night that hook on saturday dow because one of them never never celebrate in the octagon guy he's all and even a call with either because of a g to member and with the two alive he looked at g w et means we look to do that do you know who i am now and through his mouth got at the cage but he said it went through the k to hitch in the chest or something of that we said to me yeah no i am now going to lee was of course you did but i ask because like the ufc wasn't really like you know putting them out the kind of like a sleeping on him so he just he felt frustrated before that it's just 'cause you so ambitious yeah
i don't know man it with that yeah of course on a third party but all i did was go down and call fights me them go at it me kalos me john via k b j planned like so many spy we don't know yet i've told them like when k1 was the the pinnacle of combat sports right australasia was on top you a tray set for my contact vining jason by and thai guys that side of the world like like running it and another side words as well but i felt like we fell off and then using combat sports kind of took a little love a few years a long time and now it's we're doing it again like guys me dan shane kai we bought to like take it to the next level and then bring bring enzed sports again well you know what's interesting is that new zealand in particular like you guys there's something about having you guys come over here and there's not like a long history where people think of you know like
new zealand mma fighters but new zealand kickboxers i mean this one of the most rich environments like think about all the different high level tick boxes the cayman new zealand or australia for that matter the australasian jenn yeah crazy crazy number of like really high level kickboxers my when i can came to help rumble with his camp for isaiah rashad linked it up and say you should come help us out and i said yeah sure exilim when it was still around and i was surprised because at men the stand up in america is not not even close on a live the grapple the wrestling 'cause you guys haven't in schools and other brazilians come here and the school and stuff like that but the that was not on our level so at all using that and he's a good i wanted you to know that 'cause doug had the same thing when he went to vegas and then he so like men these guys stand up is not really on our level so we've always had that on i don't know where it comes from these like a whole
edge of it leverett suffer we come from the same school sure are a b l g school book yeah grappling the stuff i feel that we we were behind at first because of him internet we get seminars and like that and i will obsessive trainers like adam johnson these is my job to coaching away and he's of says so they constantly like upgrading everything and how are they will form i don't really get you did you did so much a little bit in that fight but he uh the takedown defense that's all andre as well my wrestling coaches romanian guy so we we don't need a like go anywhere else i feel like we've which we've got people where we are with stacked enough to be able to level up and compete with the the world well if you've got someone like dan hooker in your camp just out a lot when you have guys like you and him together that's what forces everybody to the next level and everybody around you will rise up to they'll see what you're doing to see your firewood to far as to see can you fights online to see you in the gym and when you have a guy get in the gym i've always experienced this in jujitsu and everything else every
this is level rises up to try to catch up to that god was sent this is all they see are you guys out what what the world he's just awesome tv and then they see like the highlights the cool stuff but my teammates get to see me for a couple of times they seem to get my lyrics of course so when they see all that stuff then they see me on the world stage kicking ass in like men of course i can do this by brad brad wardell bad as kickboxer worlds if you want my teammates or angry panda but he's he's moving not right now right now but he's he's at one of those guys that he kickboxing doesn't really do a form he's bees like built like a chad mendes type guy short stocky pretty thick and he can wrestle you know but no one knows it yet so whenever he comes into mma or the ufc than everyone going to be like at to take him down to see what can happen but yeah the other day they find out eventually if there's guys from that section of the world me really stop and think about between
between new zealand and australia how many world class kickboxers holy shit along and they've run through not just from this era but even back in the day right dennis lexi array wasn't yeah writing so yeah for me will kick boxing i know from hawaii i know i know i know like say up to race f was days i mark home by never really investing k one back in the day i just don't think i got in line you need this thing stand lunch news was from australia why not live is that the there's a deep pa rooted history kickboxing not yell at cost of why what happened there how do i get started yeah that's a great i could sit there if you want to speak to someone using would be the guy or told you day the guys i had the history just up here before yeah i just came in and i enjoyed it and i jumped in the pool well from the unite states you have there are some big kickboxing camps but also you get a lot of guys have come here from holland
and from other kickboxing rich places and try to improved sure sure sure sure and of course guys who fought over there and came over here like alistair entered into mma it's just it is interesting that look for mma gyms there's like a certain level of striking and then you see i can make you whole scandal calm and a star train with those guys you would realize it was there when i was there well it was in a little bit of the spine he's good with seven him now i haven't seen him in awhile i think he's boxing now bro yeah i think my run yeah he's decided there's more money in boxing and you know he's when those on hand as well he does got a nasty left hook now the body rip yeah like a stop what think kickboxing like if i want to take the the boxing blueprint i could have done that because i'm six one in boxing as well so i could have done that and just go built up quite like you know the cans find some champions local champions from national champions eventually on the were
stage before me i just i never wanted to feel vulnerable i never wanted to feel like another guy my ass in another dislike you know floyd mayweather you about to do this fight with mcgregor part two and they had all stupid rules like ok no i think that was all fake yeah i know but even if the idea of it i'm like if you're going do it just jump in what do we do is ok you're a man like fuck you were going to do with man men man but kicks don't know kicks nonies no elbows and i had that bike i don't understand now my why if you want to prove you're the best fighter you have to fight people from other codes and this is at the ufc that's the highest level so have you entered into any wrestling competition or jiu jitsu grappling competitions i have only play the mission grounds yes admission i know i've never been first time like the second third or somewhere else but yeah i've only ever done maybe four or five of my career you have a sp
will t l in i i've always felt like guys who have a specialty if they can get to a certain amount of good at this other thing without abandoning their skills as a specialty what are we gonna have that joanne vantage i agree and that's just the that's it same thing whatever got them to what the good at and they say boxing wrestling they can do the same july gary tone and was a fight he had a one fc one one championship in nam guy with the one two yeah that was in the gym to stop punch that wasn't good amateur like a guy who's never strike strike before he actually looked like he was flowing well with a stand up and that's because the same thing happened and you just so what you know this whatever made a great at grappling can making great at end up as well yeah for sure i mean it's there's obviously there's the added element of getting hit that some people can't psychologically handle as well we notice makes a big difference i used to be but then it like knives watch my flight after after happen i look i i keep looking at what's happening i'm so i'm searching for people i'm i'm searching for
shot so whatever but a lot of people kind of like you the flair close up or a day not turned away but they just try to use a wall you can't really use that in mma 'cause the gloves they don't help but in kickboxing you can just like right i thought you were there in arm la when i fought them for the glory world title yes that kind of star like you can just drag and not yet done in beat the legs or whatever exactly the big love big loves you can still find ways around them and they made the ring was probably put through these tables together that was the ring it was small group you in i cracked cracked the code i was able to get my four work around them even this cage was big enough for people that was the case all of that yeah but i was big enough for me to think about that palm cage that i really like is is i feel feel like it's the right size i feel set up i feel like the eur eh do you have c cage is big and i like that it's big but it might be too big
yeah my kid wasn't too big for me it was it was small but it wasn't like oh my god yeah like in a foam before yeah i mean it looked like you had massive a lot better than a kick boxing ring yeah think about that it's very rare you get a boxing ring that has anywhere near the kind of distance from corner to corner the ufc there's some pros and cons i think but it's a con when it's a fight like in ghana verse derek that's when it's a kind of a video of me before that fight was yelling somebody gotta die everybody thought that dude come in the next minute when i saw francis weight two hundred and fifty three i was like oh shit he shape is normal object he looked at he looked like he took it very fucking serious i thought but he was going to realize that he got out wrestled and now condition he's going to come back guns blazing and try to put a beating on derrick lewis but he was so tentative even with a fight like stephen wonderboy thompson in darren till in that fight people like i was born i was like hell no i enjoyed that fight it was just small margin
there are two stand up guys who you can understand again where it's like the full placement faint so that kind of shit yeah and then people would like you know that sucked i'm like well you understand you know striking on that level but that derrick lewis right in france it was like i i tried and just it was just yeah just weird it was than uh to least amount of strikes landed were in a three round fight and yeah and they both beastie above i know my mother by now they both been crazy fights like a they both been in nothing but exciting fight except for you know some brief moments so it's just psychological issue i guess who knows if they said it was too like if he had like a ptsd from his lab if i like shit i don't want to like get hurt again or whatever but and he took a beating in that last fight as well not really he did people don't realize he did he got fucked up in that fight five rounds what people don't see is how he felt after at six hours later ten hours later twenty four hours later his heads pounding
the headaches close all the drapes and yeah yeah no light to be a fighter he's only been doing it for five years that is really crazy and that's the thing this is this is a look at him on the run to my people you go to the nigeria there's literally picks of the little when i went back down my you should not be playing football big money in it but i think like mma as is you can just grab any of those kids and given boxing gloves should has brochure matter prior to wrestle and their beast i you get ten in gun is ten john jones is just walking down the street i'm the i'm i the same size read it now just a skinny boy so i look like a lollipop hours are on bro honestly not just the runt of the litter bad to work i had to develop i think maybe like around fifteen i start to get taller so every time i come back from school or from a holiday after scores by day got taller hey got taller and then somehow just fill it out realize i go athleticism
and then later on like i was never the athletic kid playing basketball or anything like that i was just the runt when you get into martial arts i started in cuando when i was a kid just 'cause after school programs and was fun such a good one for kids it was fun that's why i like that anna to set all that kind of stuff yeah it was cool but yeah and then i almost got my yellow belt them among kind of pulled me out 'cause i was just wrecking shop around the house kicking everything broke my arm doing back got the couch and she is a slight mad no more and yeah i found out you unblock to the tony jaa film i found that maybe in two thousand and eight year two thousand early today i found that knows by eighteen he knows i do school i don't know what this is and then i found those more tie on the more tied jim six weeks later i had my first fight wow is that's crazy a i found a video that first financial out thought of what how old are you eighteen hours eighteen while it
i'm glad people on that a little bit too late but i'm glad that happened because i didn't feel like i was born out 'cause i've seen some kids who proteges fighting from like the age of twelve or and in the smoker yeah smoke like they get to a certain point and they just like i want to something else not all of them some of them sometimes they come back as well but sometimes just fine i'm sick of this you wanna do something else find that a lot with because sons of trainers yeah that was actually the son of one of my my first trailer and he's doing something else now but yeah yeah for me i think eight it was a goodyear like good age to start and i just felt fresh it was something i want to do after my first fight i was just chasing that again that feeling 'cause i always been answer as well so i like that role of the crowd so after my first fight again people that probably i was sick right and i'm like what the fuck did i do i don't remember it you just went zone yeah but i was scared the guy look like david to a you know when they were to have air cut yeah he would you he was not at cagey zero
maybe like maybe ninety two might what is ninety two in katie's pounds i'll get maybe two hundred and five so ab cages would have been like say one hundred and eighty five one seventy five or something so he way over there yeah but the truth my trying to kind of just he was a crazy dude so just let it go and that when you have to realize that at a certain point i realize ok this is not the guy did get me to that level i want to be so i after i moved to oakland auckland the main city was your trainer encouraging brawl too much or was it he wanted me to fight his style like was like he'd always tell me that you need to have your hands up and you know it is a real purist of moitie so you wanted me to have that you know like the this way and stuff like that and that's the difference between someone that wants you to fight like them and someone huge in my coach when he first saw me to cool we can work with but he will never try to make me fight any like like him never try to make me do anything like this guy he just said ok i want you to jab like this and he would almost be like
trying to get someone to write songs like the songs they right exactly this expression is art let me do and it really is and he could never understand it is i put your hands up and i like my people still say get your hands up i'm like that's textbook i don't read the text but i had to look at it was alright i like i like the balance i feel when i'm over here like my takedowns i was able to often 'cause mines already low and i can still show up when i need to i can still fly hands up when i need to book for now the ratio when you have to stop takedowns yeah yeah the the only kick boxing my has always done a lot of the times having the ability to get in under hooker double underhooks quickly putting kick boxing the thing is that from there from the los from their mothers weren't going there's definitely pros and cons to everything but a guy who's got the kind of speed that you have can take advantage many times more of having hands low it's really i mean look at roy jones how the fuck do you say how could you say hands
there's no good right jones junior kept his hands down all the guys as well you have to i think you can train the eyes 'cause my eyes were always always had quick reflexes by thinking and train the eyes certain ways just could this land that lead led a little like a yeah eight it'll like his his shoulder out i think it's just crazy too i remember that one with the four i hope to hit that guy with the member he had chayanne biceps but he didn't have big triceps like everything was hooks that was all like from thrones and lead one is raw that's the thing most people with leading with jabs as well so that would never help him lead left hook that was something different at the time that no one could figure out they couldn't crack the code roy jones junior in his prime people people it's like a song it's like a song ya must've forgot they forgot that's what it is they almost forgot that was his song because people did forget like what the first box i ever saw it when i was a kid 'cause i never really watched fights i was playing with sticks whatever making my own ship but i saw prince in the same time it and i remember this when i was about four but he
because i was in boxing on tv but he was the first box i saw that just made me pause and watch and smile and laugh like what is this he was doing crazy shit just 'cause the way he moved and guys avoid i've always been drawn in guys like that like kylie even rochelle when he was in his prime doing this thing roy jones you know young sweet pea like just people forgot about whitaker exactly is left on that show older role i mean he was a mass true i before we really saw it from mayweather mayweather obviously have is it better than anybody he gets hit less than a but it's ever lived yeah you think about the fact that guy is fifty you know and really i mean so talks well doesn't it's not slurring can count i mean monica clipped him with one left hand like real clean and that was it uppercut yeah i mean with a couple other punches but none of them were like dangerous year old with yeah i rolled everything looked up in my fight 'cause i have at one point
with his jab i was like you know what i can just close the distance a little bit more and then that's how i got this china right here but the right hands this right side is fine 'cause i was just rolling with a lot of them i was running with a lot of them so just under estimated his jab or estimated his head movement at first so in the beginning he was moving out my job in the region said i drop it down drop it and it's the chin a little bit and i did but eventually i could adjust i think from round to i figure out the range but his jab wasn't powerful as i want as i assumed it would be so i thought oh i can just take and give and that's how i go is shinar right into one of them but it was a big mistake silly mistake so what on the same card uriah hall fought poll close yeah that's a lot of people are thinking that might be the next fight for use all day in a funny story so went to out after my if i chilled in my hotel room just hung out my boys but then after dance by we went out and someone told me all dentists in this club you say whatever
when i got some money i was talking to the guy that led me and then 'cause he found on the usc fight he just let me to the private room and i see make may not like what the hell and then we just thought yarning talking to people when he wanted data now finally made it properly and we start talking and i dropped his name in there i say i want if i pull up next anything they have other ideas you know fair enough but i can they've done this a long time their promoters you know so i have what they want is me being a bigger name paul being a bigger name and we fight like in some super fight let me i can see what you you know why that for me i want to i want to take him out now he does opt out rehire hall he was talking mad shit as well you know but want to take him out now before 'cause he's going to probably fight again will probably five more than it's because he's he's one of those go all we'll see what happens how long is the your secret last book i think oprah before i would mean no forty five more than once yeah i would imagine as well i was very impressed with him versus you ryhall
it's interesting because the contrast between your fight on friday night in his fight on saturday night that was just a brawl like a technical br get hit with a lot of jabs but he is a relentless marauding mother that guys he's very aggressive yeah and this things before work you are all as well so my why you right there it's easy to look good against someone who just sits right there like a punching bag you know you riaa um had tremendous potential when we saw him in the ultimate fire saw it but it also might be similar to what you were talking about with sage northcutt where who i also think is still has tremendous potential is still very young i think there is an approach to take that you took that i think is really smart you know i got it from one of the talk shows ufc talk shows kenny florian just said it said get your experience slide the ufc before you go in the ufc's words ten fights nine fights and just like a lot of good guy
not just like you know listen to me man you don't want to fight you on your second fight imagine imagine you're a guy you could throw a couple of good punches you think you're a badass and then you're stupid coach says ok going to fight this guy they called the style bender like ok ok ok yeah i'll fuck up doing buddy bob fight anybody i'll fight for the type of mentality those guys they get lit up and they don't understand it really don't understand jump in the pool too quick conversation with a friend of mine who is a genius who is badass ginger too and he said he was going to go in a man i'm like ok how long you been training parking and he's like well you know he goes for the last four months pretty regularly or michael are you out of your fucking mind i go listening that he's a black belt in jiu jitsu nasty on the ground i will think about what you could do if i is a wipeout and i came in here and i didn't know shit and i was like a strong guy or maybe you know played basketball or something like that just athletic and i tried to fight you how bad would you fuck me up on the ground right now think
someone doing the exact same thing like that to you with stand up 'cause you know understand that there are guys you can do that levels this tyrone spong there's you there's these high level kickboxers that you don't have a chance you think you have a chance is your fast if you don't have a chance you going to get hit but i'm going to get fucked up and going to get hit multiple times and they going to chip away at you until they decide to move in for the kill and they're going to fuck you up there's not a damn thing you could do about it and it's the same as him grabbing a wipe don't let them flail around and then eventually choking him it's an inevitable thing but the weird thing is some people don't see that they don't see if someone could do to them in a certain are they don't study objectively yeah that's the thing that i got for me i'm always thinking like in anything why am i doing this while my feeling this way right around and that's why i said move to because i just no i want to be the best you know it could have been the best kickboxer after the best boxer as well but i just thought
in my when is the guy who could fuck you examine it not just on the ground it i've seen so many street fights so many street wise i'm like dude just push your knee down holding each other and just hitting hitting on what you can easily just took the guy right now if you knew what you were doing so so basic champion eighty percent of street fights end up on the ground and people don't know what they're doing so i just like i never want to be in a situation where a guy like gets me in an alleyway and tries to like fuck me up and just not my uncle awesome ok but i just feel like i want to be able to be well versed taking up all areas and i'll probably never get there while die trying well how old no twenty eight i'll be twenty nine two in a few years still literally you're still at least a year ways for two years away from your supposed physical yeah right an athlete that they if they say that for a professional athlete obviously they say was a everybody's do
grouping variables there's something around age thirty to thirty two where your mind and body catch up and you have a window there like anderson silva when he was like thirty to thirty two going i remember that fungus rain you would watch him you just put your hands to your head and go the first one i saw live was you have seen ninety he for patrick today is this the one you not like for me that was very smart but that first round he probably seven different styles to just hit him and then i keep saying to use it and this is on his knee he just bloated out for like patch kind of fucked up and going into that fight i think already hard to tell but it seems like you gave it was a good fight would fight he just did honestly i want to like throw a front kick and it just buckle down and popped out number that fight that first round the way he just handled the malls like that that's the guy
what is it really did open up the recipe to giving anderson trouble though because the recipe to giving anderson street tallest latest opened it up and so in a minor code today no but with the real key was don't engage because if you chase after him he's going to fuck you up liking clicker forrest griffin all these different people that team at him up for sure chris lieben that was not the first ninety 92nd recipe for disaster when i saw that fight on paper i was like this is crazy you got a guy who's like the most wreck is iron chinned marauder in the ufc and you're pushing up against a guy who's like a ninja and this is going to be crazy and this is a perfect fight was perfect fight in terms of like you want to see like the effect yes they have like high level timing speed and perfect technique like what yeah nine the way he did it as well as clean i think he only got hit once that fight he landed like hundred percent of the shots yeah and that fight yeah was beautiful crazy
that's our style i was a counter strike at first that's when i started i was always like a way for guys come in here it is right here and i'm going to call on this number tell people 'cause i was afraid i was a fan of anderson's from watching follow them and look at that jab i i was a fan of watching him fight in england in cage rage and watch him fight in pride and i remember saying this these gentlemen this is a different kind of striker this is one of the first time you got a high level this is a this is given as well to show the fans and the brains of his feet man ballets instead bounce his own people forget man look how good his pain is already he's over yeah look at that com on sun which one to get up again and that being paying paying paying paying this is beautiful roar let me come on man almost every shot lands you start getting him it's incredibly do you minutes over insane
and chris was a beast man he could take a shot he could take it all the time there's one with them was not my e and it was a guy rock them hey i he's moving back and he's hurt any and the dropped the guy out to out yeah no chris could take a tremendous shot he had unbelievable heart but anderson i feel like in that that's my argument for anderson being the goat there's my i think he is mad at him and fade or right i saw his kid the other day after my fight i didn't recognize like in the elevators your anderson son is that yeah baby goat but the only other person is the current guys is mighty mouse the only argument against my new mouse is he's cleaned out division out he doesn't have a chris weidman you know a guy who's trying to fuck him up he doesn't have like someone who really give a chance on this level quote unquote right business should be good to be tough mighty mouse how to jail son who had him down on points in the fourth round fucking him up and then he catches him in a triangle not at flyweight weight and he dominates man he just runs through beep
yeah i think it's going to fight him what's his name too though yeah mighty mouse is fighting pseudo in a rematch which he's got better yeah so who got better since the first fight yeah so who does a olympic gold medals in wrestling that's all you need to know and it stand up as well as clean he's improve i'll give him credit union wilson hayes fight yeah it looks like the cheese flow yeah he was crazy almost like mcgregor media you know is that some of it is now yeah so you can learn fast another guy great wrestling transfer that greatness into learning stand up and now it just mixing them together that's the thing if you have to look to gsp there just learning how to like mesh them together without like getting stuck too much flowing with it that's the key i think particularly well once fired because it showed that he can adjust his style like pretty radically when he walked out like this i'm never going
well you doing karate mazes crazy game credit where credits do well again when your gold medalist in the olympics and wrestling that's a special kind of human being next level it's just a special kind of human being there wrestling training i do now i'm like fuck sometimes we have on wednesdays on wednesdays is v two max color a trestle wins they just 'cause it's like air dyne and there wrestling is two minutes on the air dyne going with a heart rate monitor trying to get at a red zone and then wrestling for two minutes trying to get the red zone and shots of kevin kevin bentley he's the guy that shot on me the most this camp so you know my hips were on point 'cause en sometime i'd like stuff it take down get back up right boom another one after like jesus christ is leave me alone 'cause he's just on you like a blanket so that so that kind of work is hard to imagine a gold medalist who kind of wrestling training to get to that level well that's why
so when you see a real high level wrestler against almost everybody else they have such a noted advantage in the clinch like new comments tv mute ridge this weekend i mean dominick cruz such a we're very fortunate to have a guy that knowledgeable in in because dominic's knowledgeable about basically everything started out as a wrestler but he understands mma as good as anybody's ever talk to mike about mma he's very clued up so we talked about like he showed me some stuff that i hadn't caught about daniels giving up the the underhook so that he could limp arm and then steep they would run right into the right hand they're all timed out yeah i really broken in the files is already live great anytime and all grains i was yelling off my face just like wow do we
connected and then he hit him i don't even know if i said anything 'cause i remember i was going like i thought maybe five rounds five round like there was a deja vu moment like the world just changed out of nowhere close dad on the ground manic stands up in the picture it is a beautiful picture because they've been working together for so long john annick stands up and he dc looks ahead each other look at that picture come on 'cause who the fuck outs is a two time world champion in two divisions and also a commentator currently in a great working two jobs i love that guy man in fact these chunky as well just like chunky's a nice way of putting it now honestly chunky and there was a girl what would you call her thick thick boy like he's gonna fuck this ain't even fat shame and that's the god damn two division champion i was talking to end his nutrition he says like two hundred and forty six but it doesn't move like two hundred and forty six that year one hundred percent so it's deceptive you look at him like even
i can't he's another guy like that put last on saturday the way was moving well javier mendez was talking about it and camping so is bob cook they were telling me after they go dude at heavyweight is knocking everybody out in training part it's almost forgot about strikeforce how about that if you gotta watch drive undefeated strikeforce fucking three have championed tossing up and that would drop in them all that kind of all right and i was born it with five rounds and he doesn't even like he was early in those early in their maker yup so i was like you guys understand so i thought was going to be dc put him against the fence grind them out for five round and still beating them up for like fucking moran back and forth but knocked out in the first round that was just crazy i thought star
if dc was going to win it what was going to happen was they were going to get into the second and third and they were going to start getting tired dcs wrestling was going to take over those go five rounds unanimous to dc but i felt like he had to somehow or another where steepe out a little bit before he gets takedowns and getting pushed against the fence that would be the smart thing to do but i thought it was real dangerous standing up because depase knocked out junior dau csontos not alistair overeem knocked out probably over doing with punch i mean you think all the people steep based knocked out ago damn and dc is up as a light heavyweight once i was in dc hurt was with rumble right jones obviously knocked him out yeah forget that john johnson to monopolize brilliantly on a tendency do that dc has talked about it yeah leaning and what's interesting is that dominick cruz explain this me as well is that this is how dc prefers to set up the single and that he
first to lean on that side leaning towards his right side and then dive in on the single this is preferred technique is very strong and dragging you to the ground from that position so there's a tendency everyone does every lab even jon jones myself when i was watching my flight i've only seen it once i was after the fight rewinding i took by the hour and to finish watching it just rewinding playing drink about my brains were not 'cause they understand i just like to be myself and just chill so they just doing their own thing and then we're just playing games but i watch it to see what i did right and i enjoy ok this is why the good blah blah blah but then i see if i was fighting me harder fuck me up look site yeah like that's it i mean i think i have seen certain things okay this is i need to work on tendency sir intense and change it up confuse people scramble them some of that one thousand in that fight i've never done in training 'cause example elbow pads we don't i haven't really worn table pads and training this knee pads i was using that i'm on back elbow to set up how to close the distance
and i was watching that from i don't know from probably three times i use the fake unblock elbow to close the gap and i'm galloping and catch him with the right hand or something but never like certain things like that with things i did good but then i can't really say that kind of thing you did that but yeah but do you think that maybe that when you learn it's almost like you're learning words like in these words are tech weeks and then combinations are sentence is and then in having the mastery of all these words you just see a new sentence that you could say yeah i was i already know how i throw those obviously even though you don't do it alot inspiring you just see this something he unlike you know what this is what i'm going to this and then come in here and like that was nice but there was one of my last fight before that in arizona um sean o'malley throws this like spin and then the head kick in the files like it feels right
boom first time i ever landed it and it caught him on the back of the head and so good and i just kept moving jabra when ya ear rodriguez three hundred and sixty roundhouse kicked bj penn in the yeah it'll be fucking kidding 'cause i was always wondering when are we going to see this i've done more although i will not i don't i'm not that not down the heavy way with a like a tornado kick and i learnt that about a month and a half before shots david deaf if he's the gave the tech which i'm from new zealand a told me because i support with the right around house and then spin with it and he said you're showing the guy i'm going to kick it 'cause he'll lean back any back back he he said go southport and use your torso so i'll give it away he thought your shoulder your left from southport to go after a few right hand so you can go to the right hand and then spin that spin right they could do it
i cannot national yeah you know so that's been right there generates the force and they would knock on that knocked down the guy with it i never hit anybody with that i am willing to be back with that a lot exactly make sure they can't move so i'd like to do it when they get the fence or the against the ropes so that way they have nowhere to go or not not as much space to move around but if you're in the open it's hard to land that you know what's really remarkably effective is that raymond daniels sidekick to jump spinning back kick i can do it on the bag i definitely did it in sparring before but when i saw rick roufus with the one of his first fight is really important fight with a tie champion okay where he was him up in the first and we played it back because it was really interesting moment i think on youtube its label does the most important fight and kickboxing what it was was the first fight where we got to see rick rufus in his prime face a thai champion and this dude and rick was winning in the beginning and one of the things that hit him with he he did that touch sidekick spin back kick in the air this is
the fight that changed history is this lawrence kenshin as well yeah lawrence that guys it read love his work yeah go google him or check out his videos on you too he's got so many he has to extract i like the way they're gonna work off each other as well like a lot of these guys they don't really is no competition they all working together for their uh court and robin black as well as you guys these crazy yeah but i really love about lawrence those that you know he breaks down things that shows in slow motion as is brenda doormen and and jack's lactis lot he's got to do what what was that i don't looks lighter i don't remember how much rick wade we went up to like two hundred pounds but i think you started out in the sixties or seventies at the most hi guys prefecture the pants yeah well he didn't understand how to deal with the leg kicks yeah this is a chewed him up early in the fight i think
first round see this what this is showing is how the thai starts taking over with the leg kicks but i think in the first round he hit him with that sidekick jump spinning back kick the face and really hurt him this is lawrence's breakdown instead this is is just going so how he lost a see how he tried to throw that body kick check high tech to yeah last four by two the hit yeah hi how you heard about that letter and for white to drop to osha full yeah i know rick had its moments in this fight in the shore and it showed what a dangerous striker he was but we didn't we just really didn't know back then about the leg kicks so we just as they the ones i felt some thai guys their legs their legs literally feel like this concrete yeah they're broken down from year mine alright like i feel like stegosaurus is back but sometimes when feel it's like steel do i felt so the first time
he kicked in my leg i felt so vulnerable so i couldn't believe how easy it was under percent the my first thought was god damn it i have to re calibrate everything i thought about fighting i followed karate guy kyokushinkai maybe two hours notice 'cause my opponent decided at the wins is like i'm not fighting him and this phone what do you do that may i say that a black now and then let this leads who out for i think four times now so he came over to corner one of his teammates and he was a national coalition champion the alpha item cool jump in the ring and padded fight everything yeah too late kicks in i was like whatever i can keep going and then by the fourth one i remember like we don't do that again and the from there was too late there was only in the first round we ate my legs he ate my legs and i remember for about three weeks after that fight
i didn't want to walk every time i buy can you pass me this or just like crawling places and i would hate walking before how much how long about three weeks maybe two one slash two three weeks after that fight and it's just your legs are dead heavy filled with blood pool and this just any little movement 'cause you'd need swollen as well scharping hated it fucking how long will it take before you recovered probably yeah about three weeks for we i heal quick my honesty is weird crazy yeah i don't know why we code tour when he fought pedro his own needed six months or rehash it six months six months he still has a dent in his leg apparently from that file share page will give a dented kevin randleman too i never saw anybody kickback like pedro or kick a people i was in beverly hills jiu jitsu in like the mid 90s in boss rutin was run it back at the time and pedro his it was over there circle dude he had they had this big ass two hundred pound heavyweight and pedro hizo full
did that then shit made me so nervous was a hanging off the ground or was it snowing up there but it was just which is a different sound it's ahead i don't think makes the bones i think they just heavy bones as well dance mother fucking dick dude big boys giant but it was it was a feeling of this very sometimes you hear someone or you see someone kicked something or something you know i could never that no one gave that you can't take that pedro had that he had that you can't take that he hit rico rodriguez once and rico like fuck this i'm going down he's like i just try to bring this guy to my garden fuck you man i must stand up with you he hit him so hard that rico stayed on the outside the whole thing he never really he never really completely committed to trying to win the fight is that as a as a heavy way right yeah the guy with the problem pd problem the wrong guy we go to the login opt for p news may be
i don't know if you mention them no no no no not again you may get a marker on rico rico guy popped up from the rico was machado brazilian jujitsu black belt in the heavyweight champion of the of american wrestler i think tim sylvia beat him for the title s him sylvia when he was at the top of his games a big giant mother is still fighting no retired now is a bow hunts in iowa is all giant now shit he's three hundred plus six thousand six hundred and forty nine huge huge huge person boy always looked at him one thing just gumby like a big guy but he could fuck people up yeah and he was right for you so we get a baby giraffe trying to figure out its steps but he just knew how to move and how to use to and it to his advantage well if you go to the goal naja tim sylvia pull up tim sylvia khaos rico rodriguez this is the golden age of tim sylvia back when mexicans
easy to come by and find out of that the drug test back then was like they would like to make a fill out a piece of paper with drugs i wrote zero this book and everybody was on the policy man with all the subs dumb pd kind of talk for me i kind of thought i thought yep some people paul your text whatever but after icarus everyone's on so everyone in a lot of pressure a holy shit holy fuck i was just like everyone not but like this i was going to be ahead of the thistle and the guys were catching them so whoever is on the new shit they can't get caught just yet till they update testings yeah i don't i mean so it's like i were then i realized if you have the team behind you have people can fund it everyone
the steroid don't you think that you sought out they they hold their pass for a long time right to the old you piss for like eight years i told him just yet use of a research whatever yeah but i think they hold on to jordan case new testing comes out so get tested again they took gold medals away from two russian cats buy a two thousand because they went back and with new testing i think they found epo in their system yeah it's interesting think that documentary is a major change my open my eyes and i had a piss test the next day as well as the yeah i told the guy i've seen this i started on the documentary last night the little cup that we're using so yeah i was like who knows it's terrorism and when you saw that came through you know is that kind of like their bodies change some of the people dropped off radically yeah quick so quick really westlake i never thought yeah not just change but change to the point where like you not even the same person you like doing and guys in their 20s doing an impression of who
the words to couple years ago in the sauce she is happening man i'm snitching everything with you in the golden snitch either matt he said yeah he texted me as well novitsky is a good i may he just like he's got a bad reputation from a lot of people like to be cool with them because i mean i'm not cheating i'm not a guy that we never had to use that anymore i mean now is what is his official title it's like athletes those hell which email would be hanging around him why would a would be friendly with them because they don't want him sniffing around well then is there to make sure that someone isn't cheat on you to though one hundred percent i'm like please also funny i'm not mad at it what's that what is
the golden state the golden age is the vice president of athlete health and performance voc she had a branded shop made it ready so coyne vet go dm that's funny yeah should i'm glad he's around me on this because you know you want out of my being a better for the sport it's not like a clean sport because yeah back in the day even as early as two thousand and ten they find that tim tim sylvia what do you guys fight on fight pass that's it i can't find it anywhere damn he
that was one year and for a lot of difference it's very like we look at in talking this like all right because your times yeah i know it's weird being here it's weird for me to man believe a broadly graphics ma'am i quit my job september fourth two thousand and thirteen before i before i quit that job i think the you are the first parts cut park assist i listen to not go to a few other like a like a whole list but i remember having those my headphones in my age is one so i could focus on the other things that my boss would just find me for so long like just take shit out your heirs running another stop listening to music i might i'm not i'm just trying to be entertained side to go postal on you niggas that it was just you can enjoy what you do some people i was living in china i knew guys lot of but they fought enjoy it didn't just did it money and they get paid and i'm like do something else but for me doing that job only shit soul sucking
every single day you know you wake up train and then it was just a block away and not walk to work and i just knew i was going to get just written that day and men it's kind of crazy not checking in like i'm actually out here i've listened to this was so long and it's like i belong here now like it's weird everything just seems normal good good that's perfect i mean you hit the right time that means you got a good sense of timing just like something like even in my room i had a nice week for this one shot to the rc is that main event status so i had like a nice little spot conjoining rooms on my team mates and it sometime i just overlook the t mobile arena just be like okay i will like we've made it without him knowing that we're not done yet polite you there yeah hunt okay let's go and they just can't check back in here in the u f c and n now i me how to break into the top ten with and i don't think the rankings of come out folk rankings where i want to see like what ours is so stupid you know i up paul felder paul felder we got that
not against could be anywhere in that right what is a welterweight so it shouldn't even the heck they shouldn't even affect the light weight ranking no i'm sure and i'm not talking about that fight and the reason why paul felder do you didn't get that fight with could be but yeah ferguson hurt his knee it was a great athletic commission wouldn't recognize him his wasn't ranked in the top ten the wouldn't recognize him to believe in a great fight great yeah i like winter was fucking he handled that well but paul felder is a big fucking lightweight and paul felder has outstanding striking that would be a real interesting fight what percent so just 'cause it things that that goes because the rankings who makes the and that's one thing i want to know who decides who what the allies elected i should come in for that not polite what have they done what's the credentials whether they trained have they fought they just like analyst that the experts 'cause it feels like if you well let's instead of figure out who did it let's think about what you would do differently like what do you think should be who do you think should be making them rankings findings maybe x fighters or
like someone who's been in the sport someone who's trained sent me like you say with judging someone who's actually like involve and on this no do tom the judge i there's the out of me man after my my second find the uscf for england the right was a split decision i got in my head that when they said you know israel fifty fifty whatever three thousand nine hundred and thirty eight adesanya as all just don't because my in bonus i don't give a fuck about my record i'm just like don't fuck me out of my money don't work with my money like one other in comp and only half my money yeah and not to piss me also creates like what have you done like how to fuck that i lose that fight in your eyes it is one of the biggest problems the athletic commissions app can't they just like it's like it's too much work lies should this be like maybe a group chat like okay let's change the twelve to six at will who's agree yep yep yep yep yep cow that was like that's a no brainer that once the dumb
this one of all time lights what is it why it takes so long to try and make any change in this poor years well how about the weight classes jesus kevin kevin lee tweeted the other day that there is something like one hundred and fifty different fighters in between one hundred and fifty five and one hundred and seventy i think he said more than that you get one ps i said what did he say about him almost die felt like he was going to die windows ten wait well definitely city in fifty five but he it's careful you gotta say that seven it is scary it should be probably fighting at one seven thousand one hundred and sixty five class i read on that sweet well it's good class it should be five thousand five hundred and sixty five seven thousand five hundred and eighty five ninety five thousand two hundred and twenty five i can do one hundred and eighty five and one hundred and ninety five if that was take that the uh we jump in between those two why not that's doable i think the real problem is you give guys like eighty five thousand two hundred and five that's twenty fucking pounds man that's a lot of weight i walk around two hundred and five if i'm healthy dc doubt well that's good that's a good amount of weight to cut
come back when you get real lean you probably lose like six seven then you're only losing really cutting like what ten percent this camp i don't use a sewing ideas a bath for this fight nice normally like the last two i did and i was under way just and i only cut a little bit as well but this one i woke up on weight do use an expert to help you like uh heart uh i'm going to maybe for the fight wikis lockhart next time maybe but like normally i just i've done this for a long time so i know my body and i'm always accurate i can feel like i'm about nine thousand eight hundred and ninety three cages to damn about eighty drive cages right about about rehydration tied to look hot method the old one is a whole system like with the waxy maize amino acids eating pineapples with crackers the only and whatnot so i follow the list and my quote why pineapples with cracker in honey i don't know it's on the it's a lock hot one it's yeah it's like carbohydrates from the crackers and honey talking to the wrong guy i would know that kind of stuff like for me i just that's the thing i have guys like mike quit using who knows why you know
just tell me do this and i trust them right yeah i know it's a lot harder method and they've updated because i talked to ian and he said that was a more sense when he they've updated it's ok next time probably i'll use them to for the fight week weight cut and then the real creation the toughest you've ever cut how have you ever gotten let me go back go back this is probably early on in my career no actually there's one in china where fucked up i was fucking around will fail something maybe like the fight week and then i think i cut four cages in the sauna it was easy on the last one but before that i was just like mentale sitting there like shit never again i'm never doing this again and i start to like visualize the fight i'm going to make this guy pay and i start to get delusional and hilarious but yeah for katie's is not bad worse of her life yeah six katie's in a in a sauna and that's a lot on like someone who's not even that fat all that not not not not that is that a thirteen
in fourteen pounds i give you the cajes damn it that's ok no pallet is how many pounds is that fourteen yeah yeah that's a lot thirty pounds two dot two so god that's right i'm going the wrong way and going the wrong way oh here it is as you get close to the actual wayans we cut back on the fat and start incorporating frozen fruits interesting something i use a lot is pineapple the reason is dietary fiber will hold but if i put a bunch of water into a bowl and lettuce lettuce is brown and wilted the next they reserve the water via osmosis would be good let us again well i didn't know that when you guys are near the end the way because they are cutting back on how much water the taken so they don't have to worry about the body absorbing the water that means we can give them fruit the fruit which is going to help the fuel the brain interesting yeah that interesting huh now what kind of should you eat like a you want a very specific diet or a seafood and i eat it i like food among a divorce must one that the best thing is like for me it's way when you're not allowed it to one of my
boris and like the the good like fight week when i get here yes that's what i crave just the good stuff and i go on these instagram pages like tasty and i was not save it in a right then come again when i get back home and then it's like food porn for real yeah yeah just thinking but oh my god and then after the once this time the way i'm good and i'm just alright eat healthy get it done even on the the one i get ugly block higher says do not eat pasta until after the fight 'cause apparent no pasta no pasta add in capital letters do not what about like maybe a key nua pasta or lentol pasta that be better i think just like regular yeah i think just like maybe pastry pasta that
stuff you around that ezekiel pasta yeah like that sh one thing do you have any elk yes sir in here for go to spot to thursday's can do you have a place we can cook dude i got you i'm not sure as well yeah yeah the easiest thing i'll give you is i'll give you some elk sausage is the easiest to cook easy and i'll give you some directions i'll give you elk steak okay direction do you have access to like a like some sort of a a grill with the lid on it temperature control grill the barbeque grill yeah we got one as long as you get you just want make sure you got to give a digital thermometer you want to make sure the meat stays somewhere under yeah you don't want to keep it you definitely don't want to get past one hundred and twenty degrees easy one follow instructions it will come cultural i'm coaching i know you are not the you know you can't learn on your own yeah on one of you so full of art did that thing about a guy like you that's interesting to me is like it's very obvious that you have very good technical training but then you deviated and you figured out your own creative path
you said earlier which i think is really important and it's a good thing to hear for people who don't really understand martial arts is what you do really is an art i mean you're expressing your you know there's something was being for a person like me who is a fan of that marshall and i understand what you're doing i watch it and i'm i'm appreciating it it's like i'm watching ballet or a symphony i'm watching our oh look i set up there was one time when you trapped his trap these risks and cracked in the so i don't know what that is is that's like almost like an lp some people use things come at them in a certain speed not pop up so what i did like he had his guard up and i was like just give me a hand alone wood so like he gave you watch it he kind of like just well he thought you were going to
low speed nice speidel because i'm used he's used to fasting from animals i just give you well that's the change up in baseball they throw slow pitch and you like what is this with fit you like fuck how did i miss that you're expecting a ball to be so fast i've heard that term before but never i don't know if we change it change up so if the guy throws like a ninety eight mile an hour fastball it also need throws one that's like a fraction of that i don't know what fraction so it's you know baseball swing too quick or something yeah this week too quick would be a change up pitch like how much slower would it be two thousand and thirty miles an hour slow yeah yeah so fucks your head up man you're expecting that ball becomes you see him throw up deception that's what it is it is like damages deception because the ultimate deception i got a few more well that's that's the basic when i use but i got a i try i want him you might catch it was a change up from left kick to a front teeth but it just
went right here it is right there this let me see the highlighted too that was pretty you know another and that you see wonder boy likes to use is that front leg sidekick front leg roundhouse kick company he comes in touches you with front like psychic and then sell swap yeah raymond daniels though has the pretty version that jumping sidekick spinning back kick to the face is that he did inglorious elswick made that guy did the splits damn those nice guy who can do that in a kickboxing match at a very high level that's when you realize like well this guy like you can't give any room one hundred percent with race joseph altonian nikki holtz when they find him the richer interesting constant pressure leg kicks chopping that leg top on that leg topping out like yeah you know but what i like about your style is you basically do both of those things and you do the wild crazy but you also do technical muay thai is what i mean about i kept asking about you are all being a butt butt butt in bachelor like it only play taken a just kind of like
hope something happens that's what he does and i'm like establish a basic first establish a foundation land you a jab he did in this last fight but like normally establish something for us and then the for the cool comes afterwards you can just like an easy is that success with knocked out gay guy with the spinning jumping spinning back kick you know but like i think you'd have bet successor learning those things if you establish your basics first language set the pace he was landing allowed jobs enough i in that last post was this connie and remembers was pressure there i think i i called to miss for happen as i told ash my friend of mine the light his face face he's going to go soon he's going soon you can just see it when he starts to like and may because i see it as well i look for in a guy or they tell me like i'm ready to go on my alright cool i hope you out take him out you can just find it like that you look in their eyes when you fill them you see guys starting to crack you feel them you feel them will yeah
phil you gets a g like right the nicene injury a and he's like he's ready to go like that my first fight shot to rob will contact you brought him just to help me out not for this camp just both was resting pressure rob wilkinson he's a good guy he's my first ufc fight when i was fighting him it was in a second round after his last takedown attempt and i like stuffed his head got my leg let's get back to the middle and i saw him walk back like circling and just circle in languages like oh you're ready not throw my hands up like what's up and then pop me and i just kind of like just pick them up quite slowly i didn't rush it like i keep saying i don't rush these knockouts like a lot of people like oh he heard brad about three times but you know he didn't go for the finish i might i'm not a bomb rusty's i just pick them apart they will follow eventually well not only that you put the here's something to consider for people that don't live not don't really totally understand what you're doing you're doing everything correctly you're not really getting hit much
no you're doing everything correctly and by doing everything correctly you're kind of ensuring to continue your domination in that fight versus put yourself in danger which some people i love mia justin gaethje michael johnson i'm not going to be that guy i'm not going to be that guy 'cause i'm not here for a long time i'm here for a good time i just want to keep my wits about me like mayweather get in get out make your money and fuck off that's what i want to do your finding correctly in terms of like if you're trying to teach someone how to hit and not get hit you're fighting correctly but in order to push further if you were and to make it more exciting engage more you have to risk getting hit yeah and that's not a wise thing to do i take risks i'd like to take risks in this and then when i put my distance locate my two close my too far and i before i take the first calculate i know what he's going to do already i'm like i can bait them with something like if i want them to jab not get closer and when he i slip and rip you know i mean so
just take risk by calculating everything sometimes i might do some wild shit like that in our year oh yeah yeah i fucked up on that one 'cause i was a little bit slippery and not rather than training i i catch all the time but i didn't account for the sweat on his legs and i got back up anyone like man it was a good one but it's a crazy thing to do you also very honest when things don't go your way and then things go wrong you had a kick boxing fight was it in glory yeah i know that one with them in brazil what's his name alex yeah yeah for area where you live austin you were talking about what it was like to get knocked out yet for me that's everyone's worst so that for me was two first for the first time my first back to back losses that was just after the glory fight and my first knockout lori fight although you lossed a lot of people thought you should have won the decision i won the fight you know if you look at him i don't even based on that but like we both
you know like i hate you more than you hit me you know who like well he had the pressure he walked out and a common tree being honest with bullshit 'cause i live out to leave me but he never he can't fight like me he can understand my style his fight you look at his career he had to take time off because of you know trauma because that's how we fight so he appreciates that kind of style but what's his name well walk me down but he really can do shit lex is opposed slow you down i didn't slow down i was still dancing around them in the fifth round i was slipping and stuff i was fresh you know but yeah that fight i felt like i won that fight but it's alright so you know it wasn't meant to be everything happens the way supposed to happen i wasn't supposed to get that built and i'm ok with it well the fight was the right exactly really was just the judges that people have a dispute with the actual fight was a successful fight for you and that you did land more shots and he did but then losing the next fight by ko but you talked about it online like you real open about it on instagram and 'cause that's the fair like every fighter like
just me and a guy fighting and i lost or whatever but when you put it in front of millions of people the fear it's like oh shit i don't want to look like shit in front of all these people what did you get hit with i was southport was a left hook from him and before that first run team up second round ivory but then from that wellness why file let some bullshit get to me just online you know like people in your life log in online people in your lives in on men you should have won that fight club of case you shouldn't even the judges hands you know they'll say some shit like i just sent to you so when i heard him that second round i just went berserk what people expect me to who will win the ufc do just like i just i have throwing bombs and just like i was no i was only thing right hands i just i only right hands item back now i'm what's that in a long time when i was the back of that why you doing this because that's not me that's not me staying true to myself well i would have done if i was you know being true to myself is this all right cool with the shot bom bom
just pick it up do is turn he was hurt he was out on his feet already so it's a good for him you know like he knocked me out at the third run after he got rocked in the second round but i mean it was good for him but hey if we fight again 'cause even after my first my ufc debut he put like a contract up like he's coming to the ufc as well i'm alright make your way up i'll fuck him up sure to mean he is not is not a shame as they beat me twice in the first time was what was in the the weird yeah he's walking forward and you know not landing shots but i'm moving back and hitting him the whole time and the but it gave it to him so i was like credit to you you got the fight by fight you again so makes its way to the ufc can get it anytime is heat twenty five ma now orsi think he has it he's had in may fights he's had a mayfly it's but a lot of kickboxers like i said my my bright even he realizes like emma mae's where it's at you know the ufc they see the way best run company i've ever i come across i fall around the world for for glory for in china
no one runs the show like the ufc like everything has a place in the time and it's just so clean and you the money quick that's one thing i like about here fuck so well oiled machine that you know i mean they've been running it that way since two thousand and two the new organization is basically most of the old organization yeah yeah it's nice to work for manna still enjoy it after all these years later that's when this was in la right yeah no i want x t j versus cody yeah fight when you're way off for the first white i feel like after the the law first robert whittaker yoel romero fight that your weight class is kind of in this weird state i mean what do you mean well it's whitaker won the fight but a lot of people thought romero might have gotten the nod because he knocked him down and hurt him and hurt him again in the next round lot of people thought at the very least it was a draw this is if you look at it on paper whitaker
really hurt my marrow but romero did significantly hurt whitaker twice and he came off of knocking out rakel but then again he didn't miss weight so that kind of puts a that's for me also really care as long as he's moving up i think i think it's you can go to light heavyweight yeah i think that's the the most recent out slowly how tall is he like i said talk to that guy is built like a brick house is like a action figure when he's here when he came here do a podcast data to while i was in camp you know any him joey de is translated into a i was looking on my keys to our thirty pounds is fucking huge how's he going to make one hundred and eighty five that's how i felt when i first met anthony johnson i was like yeah lot of fuck he wants to know that literally i saw he just like a thick burger like and he you don't want hit me once i think when will spike only once like a clean one and i was like i'm not getting hit by that again now yeah hundred percent like i did the work we got together but definitely only hits bar or or light with you know he
i was the guy that brought in front of mess up alright yeah i it let it happen i was making sure like not stay away from that that there's one heat eat me and i went from one the case the other he hit me know that tv does like the site tp just put right like an elliptical yet or that will yet again yeah and he just did it i went hit the fence on the other side of that yep he's a big boy also maybe maybe ninety cages at the time so that was about two hundred pounds yeah these are is a mother fucker you wanna spar him yeah to get down two hundred and five is a bit of a struggle which is just so crazy he got his lips as well it wasn't it was back in short one hundred percent but it was good work he make one hundred and seventy i have no idea i saw him in between fights at one seven he was two hundred and thirty i was like what are you away now you see one instagram yeah so i'm like couple weeks ago just like come back come back as a heavyweight perfect dude any already been a heavyweight me fucking do the heavyweight he just couldn't
answer the puzzle that was dc d cs that want to really hadn't figured out dc just figure mountain man dc just know it'll break them i think it's just the gas tank as well sometimes i he puts his foot on ass too quick and also learn how to not be conservative but manage your gas tank yeah yeah well he was just he would just swing for the fucking bleachers and most of the time when he did that he would just put guys in a coma you know and i just think at a certain point in time you know he was on that ear he was at mother fucker is that mother fucker for a long time is it was only had with global tick shared that didn't look like much now the uppercut it didn't look like much and it was in the middle of like a scrambled they would just can the amazing what a moment that i was like jesus christ he had ridiculous punching power there like some of most ridiculous pudgy pie like that mark hunt him was another one
rampage had that as well yeah i i don't know stan getz charlie sits at that moment and and and chuck what i like that he had it because he was long as well he wasn't really a thick guy but i think as levers his arms he doesn't know how to whip that if what are they fight against tito i don't know man but there's a video of chuck working out he's working with myself yeah so that yeah there's like move shit maybe i'll give him credit benefited because i'm lucky maybe he hasn't hit pads in the wall let's see maybe weeks from now when i know i have no idea judging you pull that up i would think it is one of the good yeah maybe get four weeks let's see if he if you keep the training up he might it's like riding a bike he looked like look up old obviously 'cause we have something to compare it to but he just he's not
maybe like that either way but let's see if we can get better from what that wasn't on instagram but also he's a forty nine year old guy and he's probably warming up yeah that's what i mean he's not hopefully that was just just him filling out yet loose yeah grounds in do you still sparkly showed you roll well but i'm fifty years old i can't give him room for real i can't get hit in the black don't crack yeah i'm old enough to not be willing to get hit in the head anymore i stopped i was probably two thousand eight hundred and twenty nine want to first move to la i still did kickboxing i went to bed jet center in van nuys benny benny the jet original og kickboxers him and blinky rodriguez had the jet center in van nuys and for me there's two things that i wanted to do when i came to california one i wanted to go to hard times billiards 'cause hard times in belfair
are california pool yeah it's one of the legendary pool halls in the country and two i wanted to go to the jet center in van nuys and i went there doing it was all like gang members and blinky rodriguez had like a program where he would let these gang members in an you know have them all take classes so you'd be sparring will like hard hardcore gang bangers they had like one dude had this like really shitty tattoo on his back with his gang i forget the name and then it said fuck the rest on his back and were both put in our mouth pieces of white jesus what am i doing i grew up in the suburbs it kind of happens gang activity kind of light just keeps us wait so far they finally went to fight culture somewhere yeah yeah party i believe blinky rodriguez lossed his son to gang violence or real so i did get an open up program where he was letting kids into the gym and trying to help the community and help these kids i apologize if i got that wrong but i think i got that right please look that up
blinky rodriguez son dies and gang violence i'm pretty sure that's true blinky rodriguez was a famous kickboxer two he knocked out johnny terrio when johnny teria was like to pk champion what when the most feared guys and world because that point karate and they know knows pk karate was kick boxing what was above the waist like rick roufus and johnny if terrio is this it is that true that he did lose a son to gang violence yeah johnny terrio fought you see if you can find blue iggy rodriguez ko jean yves terrio ontario is th er i forget all the rest of the way i spell his name but he was the man in kickboxing in like the uh these 'cause he was before my time he had pretty decent kicks nothing special but ridiculous knockout power in his post sounds like boxing boxing so blinky rodriguez caught him with a left hook and starched him and that was always like one of here it is right here they're fighting this is like one of blinkies claims to fame go back yeah i mean this is which was blinky
i think he is the guy in the blue short blue jean yves terrio is that all montreal guy he was interest guy man he was one of the first advocates of stair running too he was yeah he was like sprint yeah well running hills and running stairs because he felt like he felt like for kicking power good for you but fuck them something something about gravity nice so blinky was a karate guy had all kinds of crazy shit spinning back fist and all that shit he had his own parents son yo thank you have ridiculous left so if yeah the arms boom let's be like i said that dollars well from that low kick boom boom textbooks asks for nothing wrong with text so it was an honor just to be there in blinkies due i take classes with windows is way later i came to
la in ninety three so is ninety three when i was your dream yeah on the dream where i came here from well boston to new york ny to la so i started coming around ninety three and i think i joined i joined the jet center but they had got damage from the earthquake in ninety three an the fucking roof when it would rain it was just one of those yeah so they had a wind up moving so because a lot of work on that fight it's book for later this year which by the parties little john so later this year is no word terms one i wonder how tito looks as well maybe see him heating pad he looks good luck tito has been winning you know he fought recently beat shale sonnen recently tito this ryan belt or yeah elective all yeah i saw it see tito hit pads he still looks good man he's still a beast he's got gangaa back surgeries though
the surgeries and back surgeries titos his whole back is all surgery man yet there's a crazy video of him he's lying unconscious they got him sedated in the doctor as a hammer and a chisel and he's in his neck and his neck shit he's going like this clean clink clink clink put in some spacer in his neck fusing his neck together shit fuck that i'm about that life to deadhead lock life is a different life think as he was arrested by by train all those wrestlers they all wind up with like some sort of catastrophic back injury it's just a matter of how long can you hold out i mean i'm just i'm trying to be free and to cause some for longest time i kind i just need like that all that stuff with some like cairo physio one also now i might if i want to fight at this level and be healthy avoid injury got a look at the stuff in that sense what kind of stir
i think initially work do you do strength and conditioning sons is a guy that does my strength and conditioning work and thing is i know not much about these things like even when he tells me to lift like put some template i never the numbers are because if i if i know what the numbers i feel like i might i might get down to low i can i can lift this and then i'll ask after was i always at deadlift or there was a hundred eighty is okay cool that's right bottom yeah i do like deadlift live at a bench a lot of band work let up plyometrics like exploding yeah learning how to just fire like when he says go he he just working the muscle he wants to work the mind so when it's time to explode the mind just knows story movie yeah yeah i quick twitch and how many days a week do it two times week two times a week and when you do it on how do you schedule
does the someone schedule all your work outs or do you do it yourself you have input house at work i have been put put on my main coaching behrman he's on the schedule my work out so he says today we're doing wrestling dmr would do have that we have a time table so for each camp will will just a timetable accordingly so for example i go back now i'm not going to do any viewer to max no i like the capacity all that kind of stuff no camp stuff i want to go because it's after the fight so the site work on my end fine is skill work it just occurred the software but also because yeah i think of of the world this year three three fights in six months on my you know what take my foot off the gas a little bit i'm gonna show how long we chilled for i think probably till september maybe by that time i want to go back to yoga bickram 'cause my flexibility is kind of i felt it in this camp in the early it took me a little bit longer to get my kicks knowing you did was teasing me saying i'm getting old now that fuck that i still well i i just think i need to get my flexibility back to where it was when you do
sales and things along those lines do you stretch heavily afterwards afterwards i too but sometimes it just i just need let but i i forget yeah that's a honda so important because that's the time where you really have some opportunity for stretching really advancing your arrange my letter x really yeah well and will dispose of exercise you really tired your muscles are completely heated up or but you know becomes great for that too because you but a lot of exhaustion of the muscles that you have that extreme heat and everything super by the way when i go to bigger i can still do a full split but if i had to do a full split right now is it a bit of a struggle i felt the way we went after bickering classes i was always more loose yeah that could let heat is something man so i'm gonna hack it though they need to have
cut the shit of course you can hack it if it was between live or die never see your family again or wait ten more minutes in the sauna shut the fuck up i think that even just for the first first session i ever did ever a big room i sat there i didn't push myself as hard but i just sat on the mat maybe that pose a little bit too much but if i felt some type away but this is that if i can handle it that ain't bad if you can't look the whole thing about it is adaptation if you overrun your body right away you're not going to recover as well you're not going to enjoy it as much if you can't get through a ninety minute beacon class but you can do sixty minutes and you have to sit down for ten and then jump back in and then just do that exactly know your body just sit down just sit down for the first time just feel the heat just try what you can and if you can't do it just sit down do that shit is so good for you i know becomes a crazy asshole i know there's other parts of stories i know he's crazy today hbo but here's the thing man just because he's crazy doesn't mean it's effective you can throw out
baby with the bathwater i know that dude's nuts but also here's the other thing about b group although he's a get yogi and his system is amazing i don't even think he came up with that system i think that system is existed for a long time and then one of them india or something yeah google this please think he log a lawsuit based on him trying the copyright those sequences of yoga and i think the problem is that the yoga those moves all those moves have existed for live thousands of years them well he was it claimed them in succession so let's say if you opened up the style bender yoga class and you used all be crumbs moon of that idea not better like it bender specially want to meet young girls in the back of the class allah
what what he is essentially saying is that he came up with this idea to put 'em all in that particular order which is a super affective order like his order of yoga poses an amazing the same worldwide yep underwear i've taken classes everywhere it's also just because ali gali went to one side does the same thing for that if you do that well there's you know there's like vinyasa this flow classes which are also very interesting yeah but i and i've taken those too but there's something really good about the ninety minute become program he just has it nailed yeah he figured but i don't even know if that was his idea i think there was other people that did that he sued people he did yeah he's gangster you so crazy this i mean i don't even mean in a good way there had this hbo mentor with the interview a dot m and was talking about girls saying that i let you know he he banged them and all the stuff for the eagles listen to me it goes there people
pay one million dollars for one drop of my sperm one million dollars is getting interviewed by age go it is like this because it is a bunch of people like waiting like a auction house filled with people who wants three ounces right here one million dollars we have one million dollars for one drop of sperm who's in how old is he wouldn't even look like take three drops that was some kind of specimen it easy like a old type dizzy in shape he's not holding it together you know if you and him if you didn't see if you're both skin color and he didn't see your heads and you looked at your torso as you know who's who i'm trying to put it that way yeah let's put it that way i mean it's like a seven year old guy i mean how long can you still make sperm one million one million dollars yeah he's there is
college boy still inject a little let me see go large on that picture few too many carbs needs to get some squats or some hill runs in but but when it comes to yoga he's flexible is fucken nose do all that she doesn't look seventy well you know what man look when you too let's go back to that picture can record there is go back to the picture game real quick in his underwear the one right above that right about here listen man gravity is a thing gravity is a thing it must be real as fuck if you walk around where and under like that any other class you there to fuck that guy's data facts fun he's at a fuck and if you leave a girl alone with him he's going to touch her he's going to pull that indian dick out he's going to send it home he's going to say what is what's an indian dick
like a spring that would render jack means we're military skivvies as here do seventy you can't be like a amateur yoga wow is look at that girl he says one of the closest for yeah might be him okay it like you can't have underwear like that on and not be good at yoga look if you like a beginner and you fall down every we tried to eagle pose they'll talk to him anymore but if he walks in there with my ex has come over to flex man you know i mean he's it's like donna if you were a boulder yeah bowling gloves bird with rhinestones michael jackson should do gloves those on it what else do you do you ever do gymnastics
nah sex no dance what can i get you did you said that earlier i forgot to go back i start off with popping as a kid nom crump i krump dance that's like yeah that's a krump dance krump dance is azure original in la it's really expressed yeah south central la like tired eyes and big meal started it off but i remember watching movie as a kid and call rise and that's kind of what introduced to the world kind of like the way young buck do moitie made a more mainstream rise spelled outside right here this is popping this is with popping pink eye look up a guide tired eyes t i a's guys good look at him go so this guy is from from the search boogaloo so this is how i started off look at him go back in the day put the towel though seriously or hands out twenty he'll use it would move or something yeah he's a man
a strange like that people went thousands of years without these styles and then when electronic music came along people went to the sounds different let's move different before me i had this metamorphosis last year around my birthday and then for whatever reason i just went back to dance 'cause i felt like i had his dad you know how people get writers block i had dancers block for like me six years of five years i just couldn't create i could dance i could flow why couldn't create anything do you know lomachenko studied for years of u k laying yeah yeah classical you clean your cranium dance one thing i learned is muscle memory i know dancers we have to do show and they have to learn like twenty different sequences and that's for the whole show like twenty each sequence might be like anywhere from a minute to three minutes and they have to do it like that so when i dancing again when i went back to training drilling
retain that information so much belli its muscle memory right so i don't have to think about sir moves when i do it just boom because i remember this it's easy and the most is that like a how to do the i wasn't thinking so dancing really translates into the muscle memory like that in the in the f list when i dance i think have the best best muscle memory maybe one of the best in the world what makes is that you are learning to use your body in a choreographed way almost like cotta you know like yeah the car back in the day bottles were stupid when i was a kid i think i really did i used to think donna the cool things they look cool when someone's doing it but i hate learning i i felt like i could i only learned on to get the next belt but then once i learned i forgot until the but now that i think back i realize so that was a mistake on my part because what that was was i thought i knew beth which is hilarious i thought i knew better than people who learn martial arts for thousands of years and it's not that caught it makes you a better fighter but it makes you have better control of your body
and the thing about like holding a side kick up in the air a year there's a lot of people they just can't do that i am that he's a got top it's like when the light literally his dexterity in his legs hill on one leg pop pop pop pop pop one ford he'll do it the other like all the way down all the way back up southport or there's a balance but i think the balance is but in that and maybe like stuff that i stuff yeah that's why i'm trying to find and sometimes you can go one side too much because you have to be objective enough to know ok this what i need yes is you know you feel your body you can and for each each fight as well you know what you want to use right like with i was then i was going to any shit at some point but i did i do spinning shit by saying that i am adam what's his name was data in themselves working walking around with tony shots at tony angela and then
cj silver who is the guy who used to fight he's a thick boy i fight something on aruku and he just kind of recognized that what's up they go into the club and then yeah nick diaz at what's up how are you and i just shook his hand and i was it is that's great game cool he is a legend is still fighting well he's doing whatever the nick the other ones do right now is he decided they got all the time i think he's only going to fight for a bit i think this is my job go out a limb here i think the lack of the us he talking nick diaz into a fight i know he's crazy and he knows he's crazy too that is a criminal criminal under use of a valued asset i think if you want to have a giant paper view right now big star he's a huge star so is his brother yeah but they haven't fought in forever you may doesn't fought since he lost to connor in the with the message big money fight will probably he made a ton of money and you know he doesn't live a crazy lifestyle and i believe they just got a kid grow yeah
i think i think i read that on google see if that's true nate diaz just had a child he's the way he the congratulations had a kid that graduation i love native started the way they fought through that pore daily father watched it live bro yeah i am i think i said that was why you were there live in a house and watch out yeah while setting up on the couch i was crazy he got clipped to use one of the rare people it's got clipped by paul daily and survived a come back and then them out see the way paul fell back as well dance thank you legs somebody's legs just gave out exhausted yeah that's what it is a good option i keep saying it's easier marks are not when they're tired yeah like that flight what's the bread haggle cardio able to take it i was finding it was one of his body shot at body kick and yeah he will take them straight away i put a push to more frame going against the fence or something but yeah
easy to get like some of these guys you can see he never gave me that's like i'm ready to go like when they to go like i want out overwhelming performances of nick's career was against frank shamrock do that was when i was like whoa body shot he want he put his head on his chest and just bob bob bob bob but it's ok talking shit to him and frank was like really you're talking shit to answer the interview his yeah i couldn't believe it ah now but honestly like that pace even like my first fight it's sort diaz asking the way where it's like i didn't do it when i knew he was ready to go i just i put a steady pace just put your foot i guess a little bit but not gas it out right just pop pop pop pop find the shot find the shop find the structure is no need to is wasted energy well used otherwise approach to your overall mma game but in particular to your striking game is you're one of those guys that showing people that you can be very exciting but take minimal
a couple of moments in that fight where brad was charging at you we like hook hook hook here anywhere right yeah send me that is the set of people wanting to send her an almost as exciting as watching some get knocked down i like watching someone figure out that your kids the right dancing in the left hand come behind it i'm not there ought to be a queen sweet little bit and clean sweep if one george then give one round to him but i don't know which round he gave 'cause i thought i had off around after watching it so it's like judging you can't even five thousand and forty five fifty forty five and four thousand nine hundred and forty six n like damn that would've been cool if it was just like a five thousand and forty five clean sweep well the most important thing was not a judges interpret of it was the actual performance yet we will enjoy their i've some people were like if you are they get caught up in knockouts a lot like he finished read though but a lot of people the response was i'd rather see that than just a quick finish because he worked the guiding aghast he then he i didn't i didn't dip i didn't that they're going to round dip a little bit buddy look at i am a poker face on
it's fine i felt fresh and i have a set of my last fight before that like is based on the three around camp the one i four in arizona it was based on a three round camp and i looked at the cameras i can go five rounds i told eugene my car doesn't mean i feel i can go another two runs easily and this camp was based around five rounds after this fight honestly i had the reserve reading i was like maybe three rounds i could have gone if if i need to him but do you ever anticipated time where people would have more than five rounds at an mma fight probably not anymore most the time is totally unnecessary but sometimes too long as i'm going to get this guy in like three rounds i thought so i felt so ugly maybe that's just me big enough myself you know my own ego but yeah i just felt like i would take him in three two or three rounds put five rounds and i still look doing it so i was happy with it now when you see a guy like paulo costa who has like this mean is not totally hittable
we like everything you throwing him but he's much more aggressive much more things you see these your arms are us the next a mildly he ice me he's trying to act like it is no i am not so and he's like i did not know that guys like dude i wanna fuck i am now that's my first because these guys want to pretend and i don't know where it comes from maybe because of years of not getting noticed some white don't try to act like it is a lot of guys don't don't cripple instagram and then like seem your real life and act all high and and i'm i'm a nice guy like to be friends or yeah i like to hug people say what's up at least not like hey what's up i know you are you know i am but some people flex too much so for him yeah he knows why i'm in his manager what's his name the fucking gremlin can my looks like up forget every he looks like me all one lead a smile you know it is a good guy i know is while leaders of mixed martial arts legend fights dude he fought a ufc twelve really
yeah he thought a toca she is then we thought maybe was thirteen you have seeds over thirteen did he choked out hoist tracy in a jujitsu match rio when hoist i see it just one all the ufc's and he was a fucking man he thought him really dish mail who was a crossing gracie black belt watch this he got ahold of voice and this who is in brazil and a giant fucking audience it was in a soccer stadium i think it was a big ass audience end crazy they wind up going to the ground scoot ahead i had got him in a clock choke and i remember this because of the time yeah yeah at the time i was like maybe maybe a blue belt and i had taped a guy with a clock choke and i was like clock chokes on that chat and he i remember those with the guy clark chokes iggy i try to i try try to a little bit i can do it when this all sweaty but i'm with mom's tomorrow i go along on so i can kind of get a little bit if i fights we go right and will
we'd had that constant willie g based com he had that constant pressure carlson gracie top game cry she you know you were you gonna out bone fragments half your role with them yeah that was their style man a good school to head a little bitten you see will lead gets that clock choke so he can tell he's the guy that's like talking for prayer right here got it here and you want to put a noise to sleep hoisted neiman app he's out went out like a warrior yeah look at that pressure like everybody running up to them at you let it go walk well he didn't know he was on the old course yeah not with those the referee should've known as soils out in limp no you're right shit but this was i see there's carlson back then this is when there was like a bit of a rivalry between carlson gracie and learn about yeah i mean hexanon hoisin hoyle aran should have a rivalry goes out
and so there's no he's managing now is taking care fighters it off like that but he's a real legend yeah will lead to be on his back his back yeah like he's like four he's the guy he's a guy that i think talk forum paula law because yeah he paused at respect i'm trying to learn english as well that's one of the reasons i was like i really want you on halloween 'cause he was talking all this shit but if he wins i want to see him and i wanna the the bill for that file before because i i'll for tomorrow you felt like there was holes in your rise game the look yes and those like him as well and and yeah and and but paul and paul game is what is holding his game but what did you see impala he gets hit easy to and you don't want you know how you i was to tap tappin with the jab he does want to if i was behind those jazz would be different set ups it'll be a different set of i can come up with few are the pathways after that job by you i was hitting the jabber that's it hit the japanese chins up to hit the jack and what do you do after the job after you learn it seven times you gotta do something else with it
i just keep jabbing him jabbing it would seem like costa had extreme confidence in his ability to knock out you know he didn't respect this job he will respect my job so i look at my knuckle so this most mothers my regular local motion tracking this was a leading role that's far and yeah no that's from a what's his name it got a little bit more swollen because of brat to ours this is my regular not going like i was jabbing him at first presidents one right now from the fight a little but normally it's just go that's era son yeah a triple not double knuckle that's a triple most local ouch you our yeah but yeah with bright in the beginning my jab although he was slipping it as i am the you said drop and at one point he tried to counter it like tyrone spong slip the jab and count and counter bottom i recognized it as arcade cool drop it down and i i die hit him with i will i think i went down to the legs and i took away attention the top then i was able to go back to the jab and not boston with the jab no when you train in do you
bend time to work on traditional moves like wheel kicks in it kicks on that shit you throw occasionally or do you throw i'm into your overall pad work game or how do you pad for using he has his own system and he different so he treats every fight as an individual so he knows what me what he can do on the pads and what i like to pull and if i have an idea like try this out he's open he's not like he's very open man he doesn't understand he doesn't know i'm trying to limit you from what you can do what you can create so all the spinning stuff although creates really the things i kind of bring myself i tried just try am just from my house out of work and sometimes you know just the amount of free time on my blog i just think about sir things like how can i more like chad mendes is something he does like the face to shot in uppercut i like that we are completely different body types by like
and i have most settings for that just i feel like it's a good move but different body types and he own setup set up so i like to create on my own and then if i have any ideas or anything that i feel like and work well with the pads of without without flow i'll let him know and he's open to it well you're one of these guys that sky coming up right now that's in this new wave of mma fighters that is every it seems see that there's like an incremental increase in the skill level there's always all time greats like cain velasquez and you know you fill in the blank this like anderson silva this these guys a burst out and they they they they stand out as extreme performers but they're see seems to me like right now to be a new zabyt magnum is sharper oh sharp off that guy there's a few of these guys are coming up where you watch me go woah there's some next level you recognize like a guy like me have seen it for so many years i go ok there's some next level shit going on right now it's like like we're talking about lomachenko like lomachenko's foot
working movement this is okay this is next level shit i've seen a lot i mean i'm sure there's been some all time greats when you when you go to as like pernell whitaker and guys like floyd mayweather you know artistic geniuses but there's something that lomachenko is doing that they're not doing right one percent percent however some things i watch his footwork i washed away looks like you we might as well i like to look at guys i don't just like close my eyes and hope thor and hope i don't throw a note by amon fired that's one of my quotes i say that but he does the same thing he likes to and he's aware of where he is he never crunching one of the safe drinking he can all that information he's like trying on the muscle memory i say that dance he learned what yeah ways of ballet all that stuff read them timing off beat on be at all translates well into fighting like easily yeah it really does in its how fascinating to me and watching all these like new versions of different styles like
deep in my opinion is a new version of the ground and pound style watch his ground and pound my jesus fucking christ like he's such a like when he fought michael johnson there's no just engage a fight their son this is a molly this is a god damn mauling he getting mauled by some crazy alien from another planet i like the way traps the hands and i had one and bread as well as a little bit but i think he recognize any try to go away this is when i had his back for brief moment five probably about a good thirty seconds and i trapped there i learned that from bj discount that was on the ben askren video for brad let me have his right hand but i got it though 'cause i got these fucking monkey hiking group well so i hold it in not peppered him a little bit and and that's when i kind go to the defense and something happened go to but i pick from everyone could be is a way traps trap the hands we call it the khabib everyone i when i get to my training point start talking like like you would never get this i want this title shot you know
sound like guys like that just 'cause they good at what they do yeah and if i can get it and make it work for me like bruce lee make it my own i'm really intrigued mean i must really bummed out that max holloway had to pull out of that fight that problem michael it's been called him out on that the men because i think most of the people were just kinda like all well good good let me call him at all on tv libro you look like you just woke up you can tell he recognized something either by when i was because i heard about it before i watch the interview and i was like oh obviously i didn't look at him he's just like you know i feel great blah blah blah yeah yeah and he would have fought he would have rehydrated and fought maybe not to the best of his ability but benefits of the punching guy ortega is no joke no joke you know and you don't want to come again to go up because it got like that and be slack he should go to lightweight or take this is fascinating to me because the he locks up submissions is so next level longer
yeah like i'm not just that the technique is so sharp man when he dives on shit when he got cub and that he got him in a d'arce at the end of the first round i was like what the fuck man that is tight like but there was something about the phone analogy to it there's like this is not a question of whether not going to finish it well it was it was not that it was this the solidity of the technique it was like when he locked it in there was no doubt this fall i can you like a new yeah i see wow some guys have pleasant slippery it wasn't like maybe he's going to get out you know a guy gets a guillotine is like it's going to pop out yeah this wasn't that this was death and then he got him with did he jumped on his guard a jumped in got to get you to for that kind of stuff like that like i like the way he looks good i i look at guys like that cause similar body types and lately i've been catching that i see in the first round give me another maybe seven seconds out of squeeze that the batarang on this well on the belt
but every time someone goes for certain things i can snatch the neck but things i don't have that the way ortega has where he knows like it's done like for me i'm like i think it's tight try i know how it is right it's like if you tried to throw a jab hook with one hand then throw with the other hand it just doesn't feel right within the hand yeah i can on my daughter i'm by stangel a bit so i go i was raised but you know some like from my own personal experience my left hand i know i do with my left side but my right side it feels like awkward but there's a squeeze that you develop with certain guys just get like this mark hello garcia style skins that's where he take his got it i want that doesn't think so i can get it now i've got a shot to catch the nick but that is when i catch it i'm not i'm not dead set shoreline it's over now like if you don't tap you're going to sleep but i want just have to certain amount of black belts with that you would have that feeling yeah he does yeah he's not pieced man he's a beast he so fucking explosive on the grill
he throws up triangles in our stars like his creativity is well he thinks outside the books well knocking out frankie was giant and hitting them with an upper cut like that a low i don't know where it's just it frank you can take it to us right to fight in the middle of the city after that just might be a few weeks after yeah or four weeks after hours he focused wanton as a gs fight to tell you get knocked up or take a walk what do you think about that guys doing that like getting study greeting saying take time off after that knockout in brazil i took about in july you totally unconscious in that fight yeah america so i remember this what happened i woke up i was i was shit ok let me try and get up for well i was just felt like noodles or whatever and then this kid is fucking little shit head like a baby i'm over in just like we yelled in my face or whatever and also that whatever uh and then because brazil you go crazy
only should he not this guy out so where was the kid like near you by the case right right he came in the rain like an interesting i mean hearing like i wrote the refer you out to like yo everyone get order getting those chaos and this is while they were doing the count yeah and then i'm trying to get up i was trying to get up and then like nine i think it was just over after that then i had ok cool good flight give him what you call it fist pound and then the kid again came over next to me and just laid on the ground this like and i thought it was thank you yeah i'll stop his face by then how old is the kid seven if you can crawl we can brawl shots of michael yeah that's funny ralph does the whole areas but yeah and ruthless now but then i guess also is a dick move but the time well yeah seven and out here yeah a
the kid was at his kid i don't know he could either way if your dad don't spanky out spanky but then i remember like flashes as well walking out with use this time walked outside outside we sat there and i was a breeders that what happened he just told me what happened on that that right and then i remember back in the hotel chilling and then yeah i felt like okay this is the worst the worst case scenario i'm okay and that was my first only ever knockout lost ark on wood and i'll just like fine you learn something in that fight about not giving in to your emotions and i just don't let people would like people you're the man you ain't shitt now i don't give a fuck like you give a fuck about those who i care about like some like ash or eugene my clothes people if they say something about me that you know hurts me then i'll give a fuck but someone like all
call bro you the man this app where you got a blah blah blah blah blah blah blah or be more this is i'm like cool i smile and wave i don't even fuck what they think there no one to me you understand so you after that fight shouldn't i shouldn't have given into peoples opinions of myself i should've stayed true to me and just fucked him up in the second i want to knock them out if i just didn't literally just my hands while my only throw right hand so you think that's like a like a critical lesson in your career thanks i'm glad it happened like in the in the moment in hindsight a psycho fuck sucks and i hate losing i fucking hate losing one thing i went forty and oh before i had my first las and that is the same and markers but voice of a markers like any i beat him in that fight another judge like is beast i beat him all three rounds in but the extra it's a big fight to win restaurant they made it extra round and there are still but then they gave it to him 'cause he was a super side that time
and i realized oh i lost okay i live my life and now is it but i took twenty four granted for so long and kickboxing is always expecting them and after that after uh okay what's next cool i the fight maybe twice people want something i'm going to watch the fight and then that's it what's next but this weekend every since i got to the us so just before every every single for after i went because my my brain tries to go to that place with okay what's next by light weight stop maybe just main event it in vegas the first flight smoke this do all five rounds and you're on top of the world right now take this in that's all sit down look at the t mobile arena and just like being a little areas well just put myself in my room and then just get like you get objective and i sit down i just like let us sink in like yo you're out here you're doing the damn
and really embrace it yeah that eventually look when i go back home and i let things settle down and i moved back into the flow of things i i'll i'll start to get over it but one day after the smell the roses just off sometime to smell the roses and it's not cocky it's not it's just appreciate what you've done because you've put a lot of work into this you know yeah that's a good attitude man i mean that's i think what you're doing in terms of your ability to reflect on yourself to be real objective about your abilities or where you want to go plug as the one thing he said when i was because i don't have any big brothers so i don't we have anyone sending me apart from using like but sometime when i went when i first i listening you sell is like don't be a bitch you had this like big rant one time if you want to do this and do
that follow your dreams like don't be area inner bitch yeah conchae in a bit yeah everybody has an inner bitch i know tell me about it i'm a bitch in the streets for about a little voice yeah and i'm like yeah like part of that was part of the fuel that helped me a lot of other things i take inspiration from everything to help me like get out of that but i remember the day september fourth two in thirteen hours just like yep i'm out in uh never i'll never looked i never worked a day in my life again beautiful never again i couldn't do it there's one time once i don't have to anymore you working but you working at something you have a passion towards just a word i am work it doesn't feel like work that's what i mean like i don't care if you work in the office that's your thing if you don't feel like you work and you have a passion for what you don't just do that right but then like i said some as were fighting and they don't just do it 'cause it gets like brendan schaub he doing it 'cause he's great at it pays the bills but look at and comedian paul because he recognized that though he's a wise guy in that he he recognized there was this thing that he will just did you go back to like his fight with
no cop or some of his earlier fights he had a different attitude about fighting and then he realized he didn't have anymore but he was still getting paid well so we didn't know how to jump out exactly that's what i mean so if you're learning doesn't matter what it is just talked out yeah you help them though you know i listen to the hours cringing the whole time well you had so yeah that's where god love that you gotta check a brother to me news online wasn't all there in terms of like he wasn't all in facts that tell him that because a lot of people like they don't know how to handle like not the new me but the new lifestyle around me it's where people get they get they become like groupies in a on bookie might because you don't know me but you broke through the membrane into the neighboring dimension you know like because the letter openers on tv i'm i was going to yeah i i get it i get it yeah people that know you and then also and see you on tv that's a mindfuck ban but the ones in my first friends get on tv when i was a comedian and watch them on tv going
wow i know that me out i know like i don't see him on tv fax number for me so ones that are around me now they're the ones that can check me if i can handle it they can check me like five woke up like this i'm not perfect i mean it is not so there's no such thing so it's like this if i do something i'm i'm in the wrong they would tell me like hey you need to pull your head and you know what i mean so you need people like that yeah i'm glad i have people like that now well having people like that and also having people like dan hookah then you can having people like all the other training partners you were talking about having great coaches all those things have to be together it's like you have to have p there are honest that are assessing you you have to have a good good train who's looking at you who knows you as like your little after day you little slow today or today we're going to ramp it up i think you hit in next level we're going to add in some more different things haven't someone needed adjusted everything everyone everyone is different individually even with fighting the style so that's one thing i love about our staff city kickboxing is 'cause
it can look at someone to be like a cool he needs to do this he needs to work on this better you know and it's it's beautiful i honestly like two thousand and thirty years from now i keep telling my team is they're going to talk about us that we talk there but with zero jim like when people talk about ernesto who's jennifer sent material i've met him ma not andrea not as well in china i think the say the kickboxing legend as well but yeah now go out there and get some work work done probably by the year man i mean mix it up yes i like going out love love new zealand don't get me wrong when i see the sky tower when i hit all auckland i get excited like a little dog when he sees the park you know i mean i love being home but it's good to go there get some work and without eagle 'cause one thing i realized now is if i go to a different gym it'll be different now 'cause guys who is that guy right inspiring my tribe hercher exactly brought you we can play right we can play but i don't get paid for that you're being you're also in one of the most beautiful countries that's ever existed there's something new zealand man i've never been personally but
there's a reason why the film the hobbit there because like you you look at some of that and it looks magical a slew of feels good to be like odds i just love the vibe is a vibrating is and i like what i've i booked chill everyone's role loose like and not like loose like australia can get loose like that but it's real loose like like new zealand all the stress bam text out of a shoe ok yeah yeah they don't give a fuck all these like the attitude and then they're cool as well it can be cho but you can get some real loose constant like and using like in any way like in america you know but jeanette please speak in layers just yeah austra this depends where we have members of my see that's my favourites in australia melbourne perth and then adelaide doesn't my favorite cities in that order but yeah i don't know i'll probably hit a few other spots as well see what the vibe
around here and what about american jim so many different american jobs if you trained upsides blacks like zero ins we think after with a few fighters but maybe train with i think well i think it's only gym i go to atti in la that i train most times i'm here when i'm on holiday i don't train i holiday out i fully yeah sure yeah but yeah on friday about balance man yeah i try why you go to too much this side you have to find it ok good the other side and never stays right in the middle for that for a long period of time is just like ok you leaving this way go this way alright and find the so just feeling and being honest with yourself objectivity i say always check yourself acy always check yourself no matter what how you feeling into if something gets like maybe makes me feel the way i get jealous i'm like why do i feel that way i might want my one my hand you know like it has nothing to do with me and i find
where comes from and then eventually it's like you identify the monster and then you slaughter you kill it good for you good for you i learn well i'm coming up i'm learning your bad mother fucker mother rap this up thank you brother i'm glad we gotta chance to do this with a friend or through it in the first one that's right it's the first one we do some more i get more comfortable the way these go on do you were great man thank you style bender on twitter style bender on instagram everywhere in my dms everywhere a sign thank you to dollar shave club you you can try a bunch of dollar shave club products for just five dollars you can get their daily essentials starter set essentials starter set which comes with body cleanser one wipe charlies their amazing butt wipes their world famous shave butter and their best razor the six blade executive keep the blades coming just a few more bucks a month and add in shampoo toothpaste or anything
