Hey, guys. Welcome to a new week and a new episode of the Rachel Hollis podcast. I'm your host, Rachel Hollis, and today I'm slipping a little something into our series on the mindset for success. So if you've been with me for the last couple of episodes, we've been talking all about the thought process and the mindset that you need to be successful. But in the midst of that, I had the opportunity to interview one of my friends, who is maybe the most successful business person I know. I sat down with Russell Brunson, who is the founder and CEO of Clickfunnels.
If you're not already familiar, they are one of the biggest, if not the biggest, company that exists for helping online marketing entrepreneurs build bigger companies. Russell will explain it in this interview. Much better than I do, but the point is this person has built a company from the ground up and not just built it to be sort of successful, but wildly, wildly successful. So who better to ask about what success looks like? Because not only is Russell financially killing it and has been for a really long time, he's genuinely one of the best people I know, like the best, most humble, kindest, most excited, joyful about life.
And I really wanted to know how he defined success and what he thinks is necessary for the rest of us to have in our mindset to make us successful too. So I hope you dig today's episode. If so, be sure and take a screenshot, tag me, tag Russell and let us know what you thought, but this is my conversation with my buddy Russell Brunson.

Hi I'm Rachel Hollis- and this is my podcast. I
spend? So many hours of every single week reading and listened podcast and watching Youtube videos and trying to find out as much as I can about the world around me and that's what we do on the show
We talk about everything life
how to be an entrepreneur. What happened dinosaurs? What's the best recipe for fried chicken? What's the best plan for intermittent fasting? What's going on with our inner child house therapy working out for
Whatever it is, my guests are into. I want to unpack it so that we can all understand these
our conversations. This is information for the curious. This is the Rachel Hollis.
I guess we have to start with who you are
which I know is wild because it feels, like everybody, knows,
You are in very specific industries, but I'm in a bag
the Barrow listeners of the shell who have never met you before so well,
you gave. I know you ve done a million times, but the immense care like a quick five Russell.
And then this is ideal.
Let me also runs in an I serve entrepreneurs. So am I think, about awake. I will get you
www duration. You help people with personal growth and development.
Ere I do is like people who are upset the personal growth and development when they want to start contributing taking their talents and turn him into businesses. That's right! I pick up a conversation. I love serving people who are trying to take
gifts and turn them into into businesses, and so I started
doctors and college. My very first product was teaching people out to make a potato gun which
dorky by that's how I got started:
and if I started doing it, I just had so much fun. I obsessed Abscess bike sales
marketing, how to create cells funnels and processes in, and they
the words on a page to get people to buy something. I get them to move to get them to change their life like I became obsessed with those kind of things
and I just did therefore probably decade and then eventually started teaching other entrepreneurs how to do it and had so much fun, because I saw how, if I'd tunnel
but there's something I gave them a torn and they use as to they can get their message out and make a change.
a hundred thousand million people's lives and
So the last man tenth eighteen years-
so I ve been doing, is helping so

get there and their ideas in their there, their businesses alike Ray and you. Why? Then, this humble people on the planet, because you didn't mention that you on a very successful happen
click. Yes, it's that, chancellor, that the is the the end product of like us,
the first four years like how to how to sell things online, and everyone would understand the principles we can do it and
ten years ago I met my business partners inside Dickerson in he's the site.
Assuming I met my life and I was too
people how to build a funnel where it being obeyed
seminars people come in, they would do to wanna whiteboard out their funneled. I kissed suddenly to be, and I make a golden hire someone from
doping or somewhere to build it for you and they never get past the point
and tat the genius you like. We give us software made this easy for people as they ok and sure enough. He sat down his laboratory built out built the first version, click funnels
and now we have a company for eight years them over a hundred thousand active entrepreneurs, they monthly on the platform and theirs
everything you can dream up from your from coaching too,
the co products, the supplements to health care to avian
about dental care like every day. There's
again over one thousand pursued selling stuff on our platform, and so it's it's been
like literally the right to life last, replace them right right, we'll just in case people
saying and they're not familiar with the idea of a funnel. I know we're going really basic, but I just want people understand, I think, sometimes, when we are experts in an error, we kind of thing
were teaching down here were actually Pierre, which I feel like I've probably read about one of your books, but at the idea of a funnel. Is this like it? When we talk about marking we're talking about digital marketing, so it sort of
starting with casting a really. Why not? How do I find people who are vaguely interested in what I'm talking about
kind of leading them down a digital path in order to lead to a sale that Philip, that a good
description, but best ships live actually heard and people
a great people, see every single day. Like sir, we certainly
have, I think, about just your business, for example, right like
you ve got millions of dollars on Facebook and Instagram and always from places right. Bribery comes to your vents, so everyone
there's always followers than a percentage. Most followers moved down the funnel. Whether I am relations book
right and then they buy book from you and they re that book it. If they give value from having my nice amazing, they may be there
our common strategies that, of course, and excited for coarser coaching and a smaller percentage
move down the finest marks than it does that small upstairs comes the events in and so
everyone here world buys everything but there's collect. This final word were each step down the Timor. More people are
are coming in, and
as long as we found this interesting is that when you have customers as long as you keep writing about turkey buying from you keep doing the next thing, and so the key with with offices just keep crane really
stuff Creek value in the world people keep falling into buying from us in a percentage of people can abide each level
share. What you're doing so. I feel like that's what I've broad strokes, broad overview, and I am going to kind of take a left turn today and that I don't want to have like the typical, like, let's sell people on this idea because
If people are already familiar with you, I think the best way, the most knowledge, like all the information that you need is in the first book
I wanted to have read the first book and then I want to have a conversation that people who do know who you are don't normally get to hear other cool. So that's my uncle.
My vision. Rather so, will you talk about the first but because I know be asked if I must have told you this, I probably read it accepts like ice.
They should have been examining how you guys, like bring with all of my notes in on only the pages yeah like because it was one of the things that I.
It was the most easy to understand
and digital marketing easy to understand, files easy to figure out a solid people are mine. Just spoke comprehend,

we incredible behind the scenes here, because I get to be friends with your color in real life like I get
actually what I did I was I have requested. I knew the prospective there's some really you,
things about you as an entrepreneur that are so very different than other men, especially within this market place, and I'm just curious how you founds sort of your spot
out, adjusting or changing who you are in order to accommodate. Maybe what
you have seen in the world. So, for instance, one of the things that are so noticeable about you onstage, an appeal
of course, and in real life, is your enthusiasm for life, you're, so joyful
you're, so excited, and that's not the sort of Bro entrepreneurial culture that has
then certain prevalent in the last five ten years. I get you,
really is more of the like. I'm too cool,
I don't care either. So was that, did you ever think like omen,
I I I need a real again, because this is not how other people do this or have you always should have had the courage to be exactly who you are

Will you talk about that culture just like their people? As like her? I don't know if I would like

Like I, I really got this twisted for myself and I
in the last year.
We only really worked on. What is my life feel like this. Is my life right here like in this room with four kids: do in school drop off, making
