across the entire discography. Joining us
for today's draft are two masters of this: entirely made a format and to my biggest fairer pot gasters in the world. We have the host of the big picture.

I also have the host of the watch podcast an ringers editorial director, Chris Ryan, has a government what's up call. Thank you for having me.
Yeah thanks for joining me very, very, very excited about this episode. I'm going
explained the rules of the draft in a month.
but I want to ask you guys a few questions. First, I know you guys are both big radiohead bans but
Don't know exactly where that phantom started something
to know if there is a song and album a moment alive show what got you into the band.
and what do they kind of mean to your life? At this point? Sean we can start with you. I was gonna, say age,
or beauty, sir, are you sure you won't? Let you go first? Oh my my
is probably later than Chris is because,
I was not present for publicly
or the bends I certainly had heard creep,
did not associated with a band that I cared about
think I want to see- was the parenthood android video that got me emotionally connected to radiohead
and for a long time I found
self wondering why paranoid android was my favorite song, whatever he seemed to be like lapping me and sophistication, because I've that was, that was my my entry point really to connecting with abandoned and discovering ok, computer and then going back and buying the bends and then going back and buying pallone in one
white. It sucked- and you know, have haven't like having that journey through the
scruffy and then I was fortunate enough to kind of be entering the world of music criticism. I guess for lack of a better word, as the band was fully realizing, it's creative potential, and but I missed the first two yet
are you I. I think that, if I'm being honest, the way that I was introduced to this ban was obviously through creep.
Pablo honey at least thought all fear was some.
Away at dollar been leg, you c d,
staple, so you would see allied egg
I consider them. I think, to the extent that I understood
turned back to the one. I wonder
I remember pretty clearly in the spring issue of ninety five zero of high school when the fig plastic, trees, video started going interpretation and
Obviously it amazing video tom in the shopping cart. It is a great move. I do that sometimes yeltsin's yes to you, just a free people out by we do
my daughter in u s my wife pushes one and we urge the other and that
In particular, I remember violate this feels that way deeper and more
and then just like a cool alternative nation under twenty minutes, buzz, didn single and turns out. That was the case and that record now. Obviously, blood
and then my my relationship with the band itself has really solidified. When ok computer came out- and I still remember the first notes of airbag and be like well, this is the best man in the world
right, but what about you call yeah me I'm later than than both eu aid
Discover them talk kid
had written them off. As I heard, obviously, I heard creep a thousand times and I just kind of associated them with creep for years,
People in my life telling me to listen to this amazing band.
I was in too I mean at that time in like high school. I was deep into my
Am I a collection of no limit record cities.
but they got about really had I have silk the shock or two, and then I got it.
Like pop punk, like blink when eighty two and I just kind of missed it, and I had just written him off and I thought I had them figured out. Someone showed me kid
I can't remember. I wish I could remember the moment. I heard kid for the first time, but that album
Blew my mind. Is right place right time as well, because I was what maybe I was twenty at the time when I heard it, I was really
getting creatively with my own music as really kind of finding myself with books and
these, and it just came at the perfect time- have such vivid memories of specifically listening to kiddie on these.
long road trip set me and my friends would take spontaneously where
kind of a tradition where we would drive to the beach and we wouldn't leave at like eleven p m at night, and we would wait till we hit the freeway and we press play on everything in a trice place and I would soundtrack r r
I drive to the beach, and I just I just have associations with freedom of youth and exploring,
and discovering myself.
And from then on you know I can afford them and real
time and I of course went back to ok, computer, the bands etc, not really connecting still with those records as much as kid a and post kitty, but obviously recognizing the greatness. Us from that.
But I think one of the interesting things about this exercise was we all got to kind of holistically look at their catalogue, which, at this point, seems more
complete agreement we might get one more album. It sounds like. Maybe you never
with them, but for the most part, I think we have a kind of a grip on on the discography sod curious to know some earth. Your guys esteem,
as you are kind of revisiting it for this exercise and if there was
got an album, maybe that residence
with more now
then maybe it did previously as well as for
is that going back through the discography in going back through the catalogue I I
people ask me they go with your favorite. Bans is rare that I would be a real had. You know that that would be like a personal kind of like choice for me
and I dont know why, because when I go back through their discography, I think
I remember when I was in my life, when this record came out almost every one of these
Goods has only expanded in meaning and depth to me, as the years have gone by, I dont think they ve really made a bad record. They ve made record
it may be aren't as good as other radiohead records. But there is no absolute
swinging amiss dyke in there and
tire catalogue, and if I had to pick one that I am really
blue smoke all. But if I have to pick one, that's been kind of exploding.
For me, it's been in rainbows cause if I've been listening to the pod- and you know like, I think, the the law
full of carry put into the pot and the level of detail you you applied in your analysis of these songs made me: go
act to not only.
Emotionally, where I was when in rainbows came out and the amazing moment that was of liked this wreck
coming out. You can just pay dollar for it and there's another site
de with it that you can get or another download they can get of more songs. All these things,
not really novelty time by us
Just like my relationship to those songs and and how, in a start out, you have three favorites and then over the years you get three different favorites and over the years it's three different
efforts and then there's no skips on it, and it's just such a guy
at such an amazing made peace in. It's only been sort of
My appreciation is growing by listening to dissect season. Great crystal my answer- I was thinking about this. While we were preparing with films
every time a new film comes out from somebody from an artist I care about after I see I start to think about what does it mean to their legacy? Is a filmmaker and what are they trying to communicate by making me making the choice to make that movie probably to an unhealthy degree, and it is
the point with music. I stopped thinking about that, and particularly with bands. I stopped thinking about that. I think in part, because I was getting a little bit bored by the narrative of radiohead as like a fearlessly experimental, but yet somehow still commercial band. That was always that had a kind of
mathematical sense of greatness. There was always trying to up and its own genius by trying something new, and I felt at her that story like three or four
cycles in a row and got bored, and I so I just stopped reading it.
the thing about radiohead. I didn't stop listening as I I I've been in tune to every album really cycle and lit spent a lot of time with the records and
in rainbows is probably the twenty first century album of theirs that I have gone back to the most by it. I will just fully echo across said, like you, have spent so much time and effort clarifying both technique and where the band was at this time in the series that I have such a deep appreciation for what they were attend.
To do with this record now that one you now have two days for every right, we'll talk about the and pursue it just makes us once more. Enjoyable have run with king limbs,
I would say rainbows too I mean I have you know they all kind of expire
and over time and like to me that, like let it rip, one is the benz right, just put it on, and I'm just like this is just fuckin rocks like I am I just place my kid like I can play.
And when I'm alone, like writing late at night. I complain in the morning when I first wake up like it's kind of a perfect pop rock album, but in rainbows is the one that I feel like has a really swirling
death to a right now is that what you said about director
Is there a director comp that you might compare a cubic I'll, fuck, ok, yeah I'll? Take that that's my
director of all time. It was like the technical master who only made ten movies, who makes you wait who's mysterious, who doesn't do a lot of press and who kind of shift
between John robot there's, always something ineffably them inside the thing so yeah feel that feels at uniform. We agree.
As MR justin wound, but yeah amazing,
Well, let's jump into the draft, explained the rules for the listeners here, each of us,
are going to draft a total of ten songs. We must each
the light one song from each radiohead studio, album plus one. While
card song selected from there beside E p, singles basically any site
That does not appear on full length e p.
There is one small twist, though each of us
have the option of using what I'm calling a bypass card which allows you to bypass, select.
Ding a song from one album in exchange for it a second song from another album. So, for example, I could bypass selecting a sign from king
limbs in exchange for a second song on ok computer, the bypass guarded.
Optional and can only be used once they make sense
ingenious law little invention here.
Call. I really really like this, and I can't wait to see how different people use it. I wonder of will all bypass the same record. My gun
is that we will. This is a major innovation that I will be stealing again. Oh, I wanted I want to thank you,
for the creation, and I am happy to walk away with a copyright. It's just a really really good idea.
Not if I were you I'd, be very wrong. A family to get the exactly what its interests
not too, because philosophically it's like you
the purity of alive
The complete list right or do you want to bypass what I think, maybe we're all going to bypass, which is why I kind of came up with this concept
Maybe someone will surprise garcia bossy.
So to determine the drop.
Order. I'm gonna go head volunteer to take the third position. You guys are my guests I'll, take their position
Sure third position is an agreed position best place possible to be there's. Always aid. There's some debate, draft strategy, wise, ok,
I think the debate is really whether or not second or third, as best I tend to think third is better than second, but nobody likes first. No first, usually is the winner, because there's often night leeson in movie drafting terms, I have not drafted songs before actually in movie drafting terms, there's always like one too timid release from a given year or genre
with an artist career. Do you feel like in radiohead's case, there's one song? That is yes, I, like that's a good question, is like act without we. I I want to get to the draft because I don't want to distract you but like. Is there a dark night on this in this catalog
with songs that I mean, if there was, I think well actually, even if it was albums, I think you would it wouldn't be that actually, I think
the collection is so strong,
I have one there's actually just one song on here that I really really want, and I was surprised about how many other songs I was willing to. Let go because inaction
for that there was another great song on the album us. Oh, I had no
problem, giving up my favorite song from us most albums so have I
I'll. Do my little trivia thing that I was going to do for you guys and whoever wins could pick their their spot, whether that at first or that sounds good okay. So
the hint here is, and you guys can shout your number at any time a minute
pick a number of zero through ten in my head,
and whoever gets closest to the number will get to select their draft order. The hint is this while narrowly
heavily as did the number is heavily associated with in rainbows and he has had shut
Whenever five seven the answer was ten
no, that about the ten transparency around in rainbows. You mentioned it in the areas yeah
ok, so it was released on October tenth, ten ten. They posted ten blog posts
lead up to the album, as now
ten days before was released. There's ten songs on the islanders, ten letters
and in rainbows
and so everything about this.
is associated with the number ten and then there's this theory that connects back to ok, computer, which is,
also a ten letter title I with the same structure it that's all
your title was zeros and one so the opposite of ten and
accumulating into this mega album. I guess where every has heard of this now
Ok, so you're supposed to play the tracks from ok.
computer and in rainbows in alternating order and apparently with the conspiracy, is that they did this intentionally and that they complement each other.
And each year fucking working hard out taylor. Swift, give me I can't wait to drive over. Do this
it's always you that you're saying that, because, like I was just listening to your record or episode of toms, like I dunno what these words are about, like sitting there piecing together the ten spirits. Well, that's the other reason why the Kubrick comparison is apt right if you reexamine thirty seven, for example, there, the the desperation to understand
the intention of you know things a dollar actually matters: the truce like scope of psychotic, vandam and radio. Had it let us that kind of end, and I am a happy member of that.
I've obsessed about over eyes, white shot, probably more than any other movies album, even that I do on dissect and that's actually.
The premise of dissects started with eyes wide shut. Maybe that's a story for another podcast, but my obsession with art in getting to the bottom of mysteries started with eyes wide shut, and that sounds like a pike as you should make. Yet
with this in a calls exploration of eyes. Why should I sign of eyes? I can now I'm listening say no more. I'm here,
His rock ok
Chris was technically closer with seven offers,
so you're gonna. Do you want first yeah? Other first first
Take my favorite rios on. So many take my kid s, eye its idio tech, this war,
is: parliament have listened to the most. It's the one that kind of ripples with new layers. One of the things has been so
all about listening to the season you just may cause like you
emphasise how radiohead propose active listening.
How were you had records are eminently evenly eminently relational because you hear different things and I feel like I'm still hearing different things and eighty attack just in the programming in the sort of
subliminal, almost background vocals that they do in this
in the beginning of the song, at the end of the song, with Tom voice in, and I assume s voice, but I'm not sure- and this
is when, when can I came out, I remember
feeling so not frustrated but like they
I needed skeleton key songs and kid a because there that was. This is a kind of music that I didn't really listen to a lot of idea or didn't really listen to a lot of avant garde, classical and all the sort of new influences
they were bringing to their sound and I needed.
Something that had a kind of quintessential radiohead, melancholic, beautiful melody, and that's where I found it. I found initio tech and I just think it's one of the most gorgeous songs. I've ever heard
the abbot. First, I will go on the record to say that is my favorite drumbeat of all time. I think it's tat, the south.
One of those drugs on radio tech are fucking, amazing and johnny built those from scratch. So there you have it Jesus. You have a very vivid memory of hearing that
song, I want to say it was in the summer of two thousand and one, and I have told you this already call. I think that they played liberty, island in the turing run so in front of the statue of liberty. They played this song at nine p m while end at the like the conclusive moment of the set like they not condemn, the sort of
the climactic moment of their said cause this. This song wasn't like the single. It wasn't, even like the third cycle, become kind of the song shows with that stuff, and I it's interesting that it has evolved into. I think it was so bracing for people at the outset because of what you describing that it's like you can feel, though, like german house and or tucker and all the you know the influences in that in that record, but
That's not my favorite song on the album, though I'm wondering though like should we do a kid, a run like what happens here. So Chris takes one. It's a big one, there's a couple of other big ones on kit a what's my strategy
or is it to go kid aid again fronty, you call that you don't take one for me or too. I feel comfortable, knowing that there is a third one or
if a bypass is used on a record, and then I lose my opportunity, a kid I I love the guy
what, if I'm playing my own ten spirits ii and I'm about to resemble the actual best radiohead texts, you might be yeah. I don't have a favorite radiohead song, which is the challenge of this draft. There's not one thing that I immediately know I want to do
I came in. I wrote down two four six: seven songs from kiddies. I could potentially draft, because that's how much I love this record
Is this his kid or your guy's? His favorite record, I think, is in rainbows. Now oh wow, okay, I still think it's computer, but but yes, it's good that those are
I have three children. Ok, computer is kind of in like volume, two hard knock life zone. For me I can't hear those anymore yeah, you know or like I love it, it's perfect. It changed. My life now might have been
limiting come in the same year again by daddy seven radiant in this area.
And it like proteins, like my taste in in some profound way is, but I also can, I think, I'm gonna go is a bad people.
brilliant, I'm taking have disappear completely. Woe which does.
These have been met.
I didn't want you wanted, it wasn't a kill shot, but it's it's fucking clear view. Your way
larry winged, you wow. Ok, that's exciting! So I'm later this like many
people. I think I heard the national anthem or everything in it's right place. As you talked about cole- and I was like these songs are- this is redefining what modern, rock and roll as ran. I I to I bought that hook, line and sinker. I listen to those songs over and over and over again, I loved them. I thought about them and I couldn't get my head around idiotic when I first heard it I couldn't get into that stuff, but I'm optimistic and those other two I was like this band still rocks a new way. This is
our emerson emerson leaking palmer, but their cool and, as I ve gotten older, I've been drawn more towards these kind of mournful ballads that favour in over the years. You talked about this and in rainbows too, in the kind of second half of that record and how to disappear completely off
It feels like a signal to me of where johnny is going with score composition. That's a breakthrough moment
breakthrough orchestral moment yeah. I guess- and so it's it's like a song. I could listen to every day. So that's that's my perspective. It is one of the most haunting songs I mean the backstory behind it is pretty. I mean he wrote it while on the ok computer tour, just feeling completely out of sorts,
Apparently, the the chorus was what Michael Stipe from r e m told him when he was having these kind of mental health breakdowns there. And you know that was what does the advice that he gave him. I just have powerful song, I mean,
through the rare guitar song on kiddie or amnesiac, because it was
in early, but the way the developing is everything
string and will particularly might be actually the first instance of
johnny blending, the owns martineau, which is the early synthesize analyzing the size or with the orchestra thing strings, which is a kind of quintessential radiohead trade mark. At this point I led the song and, like I said, yeah Johnny's, Johnny's or organ
asian is just out of this world, and here I mean, like those- I guess first stab at orchestration and to do that. Is this fuckin phenomenal? It's kind of chosen, one like your lebron James, for a reason,
I'm a staff. You know I guess you're he was born at it, yeah! Ok, so my pick you up to
okay, so the one I really wanted. I got spilled the beans with my my origin story with radiohead, but it's everything in it's right place. It's hard for is at such a subjective pick for me, but also it's also a beloved song by radiohead
LEO's the first thought that taught us a win win. He was true
this link from ok, computer and abandoning tar and strictly riding on piano. This was the first song that he wrote on piano ever, which is dislike,
okay and apparently he's apparently where he wrote a pyramid song in the same week as the second song, he ever wrote on shadows just do that
Opening is so iconic and what it
belies is, and music history, I think, is extremely important, radiohead, obviously being
heralded as the best rock band alive, and you know the late nineties to completely shit
way from that. To start kid,
with a purely elect
chronic song with no drums three.
the five members don't even appear on the song
Such a statement on you know it's released in the year two thousand I either get symbolizes this transit
in from guitar music to electronic base music that would come to play out through the twenty first century. So I think, historically person.
We hits all everything. I look for music,
and it just a beautiful gorgeous on so everything is right place that
the one that I really really wanted. Some I'm glad I got it. I almost took this and I didn't, but I wanted
ask you: have you seen the film the creator call them?
sci fi movie they just recently- I have- I can't say I have theirs alike
a right of the vulgar ease, let's, let's fire up the chopper moment, sent to
everything in it's right place in the movie which
one hand. I thought was the stupidest thing of all time and on the other hand I was like this is cinema today. This is also like. If you and I made a movie, we would be like village of choppers and everything that is the most like brain dead, blunt session concept, ever that some guy followed through with an an eighty million dollar movie, but also the kind of rules yeah.
This doesn't that song work with. Essentially,
anywhere in a kind of work yeah.
You gonna, like some guy making coffee in the morning and you're right, yeah everything in this coffee in it's place. Singer,
guess so next up what out
so we had a kid I run now. We re all just pick from kid ever again
Maybe I'm the one that does that linger, the most that album in your mind, while hearing cole talk about it, I mean here, I obviously had a different experience with it as like, more of like almost like socially, I remember that record in tandem, really
listing korea as these two records that
in my lifetime I was like this. What it felt like when, like beetles
those put records out you're, like is everything in the world, about to change because of these two albums, and there was
definitely this meeting of popular interest by like lots of people loving these bans and
critical writing about it and thought being put into dissection,
what they were doing in understanding what these two groups were doing that fell.
The man we are really at the vote like this is the vortex of like this is why I love music is to just
be in this moment, were you know bombs over baghdad and everything? That's right place are
weighing all the time everywhere I go. There is also no says a lot about how it felt to be in new york. At that time. Will you
Cultural discourse around popular music was very differently. I could have like a front page new york times, arts piece about these two hour.
If they mean about the feud for the future, you know, like that's kind of what you are signalling to call it like the year, two thousand being a critical time for an album like this to come out. There are so many fucking think pieces about kid a and there were so many conversations about it every day, even though it was in theory, a kind of abstract electronic right out of these records. These records came up
same month did sink on her mother's family came out october. Thirty, first, two thousand, oh well, damn dude, it's greg crucial by sometimes the world is good yeah! It's been twenty three years since we had a good time
beautiful. I guess I'm I think I'm goin. In the same
America's amnesiac was written at the same time as kid aided split
when you're married you're, going with an amnesiac song, I got to go pyramid song. I mean come on at this one's a bold choice. Really this is, I mean nine, the greatest songs of all time.
Mind you I mean similar to everything and right in its right place in turn in just a capturing come of this ephemeral
musical environment, as other worldly kind of transcendent environment? Like I said it was written in
tom, claims. He wrote the song in five minutes the basis of the piano in the in the least
He then it was lyrically was inspired by the sir
you nature of time, sharing
pierce, listen here so silly, like stephen hawking at the time and he'd.
ive seen a hundred recently but he'd seen ancient egyptian art about the underworld
all the stuff about him, sinking, underwater and like living in the afterlife and finding it
love ones. There was kind inspired by these two ideas theirs
kind of rhythmic enigma the song, I'm not sure if you guys are familiar with it, but it's it's. A heated debate
radiohead scholars wegg what the the rhythm is and what time signature the song is in a good
I mean everything that I am looking for in music is, which is technical achievement with kind of emotional accessibility and kind of distant kind of profound musical environ.
It's and I just loved the refrain, there's nothing to fear. Nothing to doubt. You know, there's there's a lot of these and we talked about this. A lot on the in rainbow series where I dunno generally Tom, gets a bad rap about his songs,
being depressing, but you really get to the heart of a lot of the songs and has these really beautifully optimistic sentiments and beautiful song pyramid song shines back to you did ask me: okay, there's some there's some some kind of cultural recency bias happening with the spec, but I'm gonna make it anyway.
on the street spirit fade out from the bans on my list, which is
Favorite song on the bands.
it's none of my mind recently, because
is advocate had fortune interview, Jonathan glaser and he of course, or the video for this song.
On the radio had, I think, sites as their breakthrough as their kind of like elevation moment when they realise having thomas specifically said like this need
made me remember why I wanted to do this like why I wanted to be a musician and beyond and glazers video, for it is beautiful out on a re glazers, a video video film
we advocate hist opens an ancient eighty five karma come of a massive attack and then makes the video for the universal by blur and then mix street spirit. So just he could work
tired he hears the fire and then he made under this. He obviously goes on collaborate. He makes the commonplace video index that I bet great uncle video
did the black and white video where their jumping back there's like yeah? Yes, there's a kind of zero gravity, quality the s video this
long itself. This is the first time
actually feel this more acutely them on the bends than I do on ok, computer, which is something that
Persistent now in all of our records in the two thousands which is like, I don't know how they got that sound.
I dont know what they did to the instrument or to the after effects to the sort of post production of the song. In other call you into great detail about, like em,
That's the kind of coin scratching and coin strumming that that Johnny would do in playing like they have a lot of tricks. Studio tricks to generate new new turns of
I that they have a real knack for. I almost feel like this is the benches
last time when they are willing to just accept the kind of beauty of their natural songwriting. In this my beaten, like their most bitter,
Well, not their most plaintive, not our most sincere necessarily but like the one that resonates most for street spirit.
Yeah there's a lot of musical seeds and three spirit that would come to fruition with ok. Computer too. I feel like I think,
what it be. Three spirit differently had been on: ok computer, but
all the elements are there. You know we hear this kind of the fake strings. Does ponting guitar page use?
it's a beautiful song. It was on my list and just to try men, because this kind of related to the pyramids on day
You know that at the end of the song heaps, what he's belt
out, there is a mercer soul in love,
what songs about like confronting death super dark
now and then, but ending with this running,
I could and the song on this really positive, beautiful, no gather the sun. It also just like an absolute anxiety bomb, anti capitalist creed. You know he hoped for think a lot of the songs.
the day he leaned very strongly in that direction. Over the next ten years,
The the you like go first batch of songs on public you're, not necessarily about those kinds of ideas. Red fills a significant that way: two rows of houses all bearing down on me. You know it's like I'm trapped and get my suburban,
system there. I call to your point about the kind of maybe the catastrophe
b of the lyrics that then opens out into like a very like open, hearted, plaintive kind of call. The next song I'll pick is is reckoner which starts out
almost like this, like I
Imagine like the first verse of recorder's being narrated by almost like a kind of cynical detective,
thing like saying he can't take it with you
and then, by the end, it's like dedicated to all human beings in its new still gorgeous sort of crescendo,

Capture the mood of what he is talking about in the music and on a technical level? I think this one stands out because
the song is all about detachment and association, and it's about him like an being in traffic and feeling disconnected from everybody, and you know there that's kind of symbolically reflect.
in the music, because ad in johnny, the their guitar riff that sustained throughout most of the song that it begins with is playing in five four time and the rest of the band is played

I've got a kind of like overwhelmingly melodic. Can a kind of

the snatchers! This is embarrassing. I added bodysnatchers to a running playlist and it was very high in the rotation when suddenly just hurry.
You're right. I just heard bodysnatchers every time you ran thousand times and probably mile, maybe more accurately, like one hundred and twelve times. However many times I ran in that given year, and now it's in my blood,

And a little bit unvarnished in a little bit, not over thought, and I think it actually the tight there are times when I can feel the banned in the last couple of albums thinking really hard about how to do something interest.

That the three songs are they gonna stick together, which is actually how bohemian rhapsody was also made. You think about, like the great leaps

This forward, looking, I think it has everything you'd want from a radio heads on it, feels like they really.

It's the longest song. I'd have to double check, I'm not sure cause of the top a man I dislike. I said this was basically my introduction to my interest in the band. It had this very strange animated video that I think is all

Can you help me understand the rest of the rest of ok computer? I think
I think this is also the song that helped me to the fact that there was an underworld of radiohead. Besides,

life half my life and their cease. This theory that he's either talking about he saw his forty

But it's also the drily p, their first e p, as radiohead was released twenty three years before. Ah so half his life would be so either he's talking about as his partner or the band as a whole, some kind of easter error or or both yeah, so but a beautiful song. I really really really love this song am so second pick, I think

sure that the climax is really a visceral experience when you get there- and I think this one- I mean it's like two minutes and like twenty seconds or something of just build up and

that didn't have a lot of rock music didn't have a lot of straightforward drums on, and so the catharsis felt when those those drums kick in to the acoustic drums. Not the electronic drums kick in at the end are always very powerful. Cathartic experience for me
