There's no place to escape to this is the last on the left start all right. We do the show we can do the show we have to do the show. There's gonna, be I'm gonna, put a caveat up top okay, there's a lot of controversial opinions about the canadian people as we do this. It's anything wrong with the Canadian they're great people, there they're fantastic, very laid back yeah.
poutine, they love their lakes, like they treat moose like dogs, which is very dangerous to you, because they will eat your girlfriend's pussy, and I mean the entire thing I put an apple up there, all right. I don't know about all that. Well, that is a controversial opinion that you just had there. You got there. I like the moose's dogs. Well, this is the last podcast on the left, everyone I have been Gizzle Marcus Parks and holy. How long has it been since Henry was in studio months? It's ten months. It's been months and I got to say these vagabonds, shoot. Man New York City still got it. I saw a bum with shit all over him outside of the hotel, I'm staying in cool. We still got it. He did complain. Henry was complaining he's like there's so many people here it was like a family from Ohio all slammed into your brain Paul here in New York, all right, the Riis. We brought up care that we're talking about Robert picketed part, one
He goes by oil. I really is not derivative of robbery, man and limbs, William. Ok, it's also. We are going to get into this. This is the biggest punch, a bum fuck up the are, or in a mood today already are beard, the type of its type, a canadian homo. Farmer. It's like they're living on the street got a fun. Well Robert Willy picked on aka the pig farmer killer, aka port cat rob. It's called me, Porkchop Henry. Why is that? Well, I got these be Willie pick them up alien serial killer, who murdered up to forty nine women from nineteen. Eighty three till two thousand and two mostly picked up from Vancouver. No talk
is downtown ISA dont. You will go ahead and call it that this is an easy problem. I thought a balance pounded aside proud as a year on each side. We have nice things Vancouver, which is actually my favorite went to pronounce any city than Coover uncouth think they got their road. Pickens known victims were street level, sex workers, many addicted to hard drugs and living here, mouth lives and an environment that we ourselves witness just a few weeks ago when we did a live show in Vancouver. What I loved is like talking to other Canadians about going to Vancouver and they're. Like you know, Veryone says like oh Vancouver is nice and we're like no tell them what we're doing the show over on EAST Hastings and we're like? Oh, that's, not bad about it, neighborhood here and I'm like okay, sure yeah, I'm I use a bad neighborhoods. We live in New York City. I live in LOS Angeles. I I've seen some terrible places. East Hastings in Vancouver is. The word place. I've ever seen. It was area a lot of public heroin, use the law on the walls, Europe's like it's a joke:
Romero, movie people just right of the dead. There was a woman demanding wheelchairs from this guy behind behind a fence and he's like we're out of wheelchairs and she's, like I just need a wheelchair and I don't think they were talking about wheelchair. I dont authorities sure she was asking about arrow and also terrible code for harrowing. Yes, why did you make who didn't unwieldy and multiple wheel to help? That's a good you're on hospital supply you're. There is going to dig it into the dirt like I've never seen before, and it was into the road. Rather plenty fingers at all. Took a cab from a quick look where Willie picked and actually Romulus we'd suburb tat. We took a cab from consequently to our show in Vancouver and our cab driver, who was from the east side, just sat there,
eaten cherries period. We have the right to put a pity. He just said for many a year you gonna go to Hell, you're goin, down, ease, tastings, right or maybe better hold on Euro, while its very small swallowing stones like he's a chicken, then I just a good way to do it by cap. Driver drop me off for blocks. from the venue and he's like Yo'Ll get out here. It's like, I think we got a couple of bucks in no you're gonna get out here. Well, Picton would either cruise for them with these women himself or get an accomplished to do it. Take him out to his pig farm and nearby Coca. Lump rate them murder them in various ways in dismember, the corpses, his method of disposal was either to feed the butchered bodies to his pigs or take remains to a nearby rendering plant mixed in with the various livestock viscera produced on his
Now, there's gonna be a lot of shit talk about viscera today. What viscera is all the good parts, the gut yeah, especially a part? Yes crackling on them. You put some candied bacon on it. You got you got the caramelization of the flap super hot cast, I Pants you get some some some rob in there you only you get some kind of like weird, like a good nice, fresh, green kind of pump. It up get some savor, you put the umami in it with right out in in and with all the controversial food you eat, you've probably eaten a canadian sure yeah. I had a plenty of female bacon. In my time, oh and despite what Willy Pickins Wikipedia page says, he definitely did not. The University of British Columbia, nor was he a member of five delta state. So I do love the idea of animal house style pranks, but just picked ins version of it. The only thing I just I yeah I just like oh yeah yeah, look what I did killed ogre. Oh we were. We were thinking about toilet paper.
the House toilet paper in the house. I didn't do that: no no kill a hooker instead! Well, we were just gonna. Do a little toilet paper, maybe put some little bottle rocket? Oh you do I do me. This is a strange initiation process. The vast majority of the information in this series comes from a book called on the farm by Stevie Cameron, given to me by a wonderful fan at our Vancouver shows. Thank you very much for giving us that and introducing us to Robert Picton. This book is a wonderful piece of literal, a non fiction that I would recommend to any true.
Crime Fan and all quote from this episode are taken from on the far I did get very several lovely tax or markets have been like love in this book is really into it, but in contrast to a lot of books about serial killers, Cameron gives a face to the victims and their families dispelling one of the myths of what is known as the less dead. I write victims whose murders are not investigated by the police or covered by the media until the body count gets high enough on the farm. Also sounds it could be really fun book about Woodstock, not about what are you doing? There was a far bigger. What's his name from the ban, that's what I was thinking I die voluntarily. Bonham is fuelling Isabel autobiography totally different. That of the myth is that these women street level sex let's have no families, no friends and no connections, and that just isn't true, even though many of them had fallen on hard times. These women were daughters, mothers and sisters with
families who miss them immediately also a part of like the halfway house, end up kind of like safe spaces for heroin use that are in Vancouver emotional unease. Hastings like they were poor. Would they were working with social workers? A lot of time that are also looking for them they act. That's one thing above incorporates a reason why the somewhat homes activities, because the heavy infrastructure to take care of all these people and also the mentality of it's better, that they're high instead of sick, because, if they're high, at least they keep to themselves and if they're sick, they start doing desperate, Chet, absolutely warning this drug may kill you very powerful documentary on opioids and heroin abuse. My goodness is that a powerful drug now one of the great tragedies will get into in this series is how the Vancouver police departments lack of care for these women their contempt for modern investigative techniques and their sheer laziness actively prevented a proper investigation from taking place. The cops in the robber
Willie picked in case not only heroes. They are like hobbits tribute just be like it's basically they're eating three breakfast. They smoke of those inappropriately long type. A lot is setting me and like oh wow, can go, be walking getting a donuts over there. My feet are tired. Can you just kick the box over here? Be like kick in the box? What do I look like some kind of footballer? Well, there's no crime! If you don't investigate it I always double or says you, I'm your eye incredible. The grey area tower fantastic there. There was exactly the mentality. All these women were going missing in the Vancouver police runs like WWW since there is no bodies here, there's no murders. cause. You know these women they just get
up and they go and we don't really know where they go and they don't really talk to their families or nothing like that. So we're just gonna kind of let them go and we're not gonna really worry about them. You know that is the one thing they say about people who do a lot of heroin. They are shakers and they are moving they're, always traveling no way to they say the same three feet by three feet: box, just kind of waving like a flag and no way out there achieving their dreams on the bus on the train on the planes out there seeing the country like a Dr Seuss. Well, there were some cops in the Vancouver Police Department who are genuinely concerned about these women and genuinely had we're trying to get an investigation go because they knew. There was a serial killer out, but really who pushed for this were the people who worked in the downtown east side, people who worked with these women and journalists. There were journalist,
worked on this story for years, good people trying to pressure that the police department into doing something anything, but they didn't not until it was for far too late, had the proper people. Actually, Given a fuck put petty grudges aside and got off their asses to do some actual police work. Picton would have easily been caught years before he reached the staggering number body Jai Mouth breathing to live with his pay Well, I do shit. No. This is now three eggs. You know you is it babe, isn't James Cromwell be my leg is about big that lifestyle
really living in pigs. Yet la ok, because cuddly would pigs almost eighty just look like a curl madman, but like a while racked face chromatic may, for he could he was. I was bred and about his crimes and shitty quicker, been caught and suck. You would think the cops would really jump on something like this. They can get some name notoriety. This seems like a perfect formula to make you a super cup. Laziness lazy. And the super caught they did have they had a super kite it on their sat. They had a world renowned super cop and they hated him for it. He hated him for aging motor paperwork, yet you made too much paper. He made too much money we'll get into him later before we get into all that. Let's talk about the disgusting pig shit childhood of Willie picked it's like because that's when your cousins can only make that noise. I that's a good time, though. All right, we have a big shot. Shot dead coming up. Willy Picton was the middle child of three born.
To Leonard and Louis Picton born October, twenty fourth nineteen, forty nine, his father was a farmer and sixteen years older than his mother and the two men chance in a coffee shop. I therefore welcome to beans and Bruce I can I can I get a benign latte at it. Couldn't web rape for you to meet? Can you fired on it? I say to you just order a banana latte with a hard on it The idea was asked your new life up up up up up up up. I thought I was the only one is in poor guy in the bag. Speed like what I have to say you twice before a couple game inevitable supposed to do. I guess I could to shed a little bit know you guys like to say that I'm It person you are, I'm not a dirt person. We will let you hold on how many miles of dirt. Do you have in your apartment? I
As you know, and you have many times, you have been alarmingly review dirt in your life, but the pigeons these guys were dirt person Roy multi, all their only royalty and the fact that royalty also was just a gigantic family that fox each other a good point, even by small town, Texas Standards, the patrons sound filthy than even the in bread of my townsfolk hat's. How we know your dirt person is that you say towns, folks and the fact that you have a compass here of like inbred families that play in dirt. It's like my mom and queens. So I have to tell my these are, you know mom or white trash Weena white trash. I always wash them.
with every Friday. This is all the animals they didn't. They let the grass grow in between the two lines. I was like. That's not the classified. That is the class divide, that's big stuff! Well, it wasn't like these were nice people who just happened to have an odd way about them. As we'll see the entire Picton family, with the possible exception of their daughter, Linda, was rotten to the core. They were not just filthy, they were awful awful people, so they were comfortable in it. They were happy with their filth, loved. It love their life guy. Well, let's to the mother. First Luis Picton was, by all accounts a bizarre woman inside and out, especially when she got older most of her teeth right it out, which made it hard to understand anything. She was saying just makes me think of rent for fucking there they remind them. I have a personal or very when people let all of their teeth go and the hollow look of their mouth. When I have an interest in
just share her up my spine. It is it is kind of horrifying, but it's also kind of fun. You get to be two people at once. My grandfather used to take his teeth out of his mouth and I thought it was the coolest trick. I've ever seen in my life. I love ventures. Yeah, don't get me wrong. I love ventures and I can't wait to have them because I will scare everyone. I can't because they'll do that. I laugh so hard, then spit my teeth out and go and when Louis Picton did talk, she did so loudly and rapidly and what was subscribed by many as a person, sustained high screech, so you're gonna get the bacon eater one side salad without we're trying to make and healthy here at Arby's gets a mud sticks as well. As far as her appearance went, most of her hair fell out with only a few wisps remaining way.
Was always covered by a certif. That's classy seems like all her hair had migrated to her face, as she was said, to have essentially a goatee that reminds me of my dog went and I miss Wendy is an incredible dog. If you haven't seen Wendy go to Instagram, I think Natalie Jean on Instagram is showing some pictures. You have as well check out Wendy yeah now Wendy is an incredible dog, but we're like getting really dangerous. firstly close to win like somebody has a baby and all they talk about as their baiting relevant folder that I'm a lot of us in our efforts. We will have any hates it, but a dog looks like splinter, which we realise in its cue when a puppy looks like a splinter. But when a lady looks like splinter, it's not very kids different. We as we actually to hang out with Wendy at their Pittsburgh, show Pittsburgh as incredible thanks for everyone who came out. That was one rental man or rules yeah, oh yeah, Trotman er, I made friends, so his mother looks like the old lady from the woman that could be
young woman or an old lady picture. That's right, but he never turns into the young, never never wants. No. She had long hair sprouting from her chin, like the stringy roots of a plant and she had a thick mustache or at least thick for a woman. Like a master in a kung, FU movie, yeah, we're thinking that or just some like a cafeteria cook, who's very good with the slop yeah. She can just slam that slap down but she's a good one, because she gives people more slop than the other one does one visitor to the Picton Farm later said: quote That would blow my mind is a little kid. I would you say to myself: cut it off no, but I guess you, your pride yeah you're guide I like to let my beard grow into my chest, hair. Well, it's an indication that you've been around for a little while you're wise yeah, but I don't. I think she was like fairly young when it started. I think he was. It sounds colleagues usinor like thirty or forty years when the hare started very
Why everyone? Now, as far as clothes, when Louise always wore a house dress over a pair of men's genes, accompanied by men's rubber gum boots made her wall like a duck. Well, technically, she was the Scarlet Johan Sit of Coquille that puts her in the top ten. That way, I mean honestly, the waddle like a duck baker kind of cute yeah, that's kind of fun. Wallen like a duck. No hair got no teeth, oh no, dream for dinner every night, Deanna really create I'll. Tell you what she's good for you know she's give, or are you gonna make a joke about sexual things eating hot dogs, taking them down all the way down very good. She was short with a round face like her. Children Linda and day but Willie, looked more like his father, haven't inherited the rat face that so many dirt bags across North America seem to share. Even though the family farm housed chickens, ducks and dogs, their main animal was the pig
all these animals were allowed to freely Rome in and out of the pact in House shit anyway, wherever they please, which didn't really seem to bother the family. All that much we just let the pigs in the house and it comes down to the pet pigs- are different right because they're clean they're, smart, yeah yeah, I mean they got tiny little feet. They're got cute little faces and that's nice. These are. More like hog. These are big ass, hog, big, full grown hog, and normally you gotta keep the hogs in a place where to shit. Does it come in the kitchen right Guess I wanna farm Roma City boy right. I'm a part of me colonel, if other than the puppy in the house you, gotta poop, outside the house, but it is kind of fun to have a bunch of animals in the house. Yeah yeah. I don't think you know how much shit animals produce on a daily basis. I I really like I'm not real fast. You are a dog nanite pomeranians. They shit like an ounce. It's like a little like it's like a cute little pig. Oh that's, cute! A pig
like when you and I sit down after we've had a long airplane trip where we've just been housed. Fucking beers on the plane- and you have that big splatter ass beer shit, the pigs do twenty four seven! Well, you know what thank you for putting in context that I can understand Henry I'm a teacher. Now I have a better understanding of what their house was like. Well, the kids had to slap two hundred pigs a day every day, both before and after school and the smell of pigment, manure and slop, stuck to every member of the pic and family, which earned Leonard the nickname piggy among other local farmers name. He actually like told you even by farmers, were, exceptionally, they were exceptionally standard. Depictions were the stinky kid worth mean he was even the stinky farmer. You know
hard. I need to be the stinky first one yeah, it's all like pigpen they're, all pig pen and pig pen murdered sex workers and also it's the it's, the canadian version of the Texas Chainsaw Mascar family yeah. That was getting that vibe too yeah. For the most part, the pig in boys lived a fairly isolated existence, the eldest dog. Linda, seem to have some semblance of a normal life, but William Dave spent most of their time, either with the pigs or each other, and it seems like there's a little bit of the classic. Sudden brothers going on. There is no evidence for that. You're just saying that kiss in broad, and there is no evidence to counter the Emily that Henrietta is not only right that we have not. Even though these are terrible people, we can't be engaged in pure speculation year unless Buck S. Nonetheless, we still do
have some journalistic continuity. All right, I'm gonna breathe it Marcus that it's not true, but I'm going to agree with Henry that I want it to be true, and I want it to be true. It's probably not a coincidence. That Linda is the only one out of the three to come out. Okay, because she was given dresses, she was allowed to hang out with other kids. She wasn't constantly hip deep and slop, and you know that she was the black sheep of the family. They were sure would be like well, Linda, doesn't get along with the rest of us, but she's out there just haven't a normal life, orbitals covered and shit like do you imagine no going day with her and going back to places be like gonna meet your father. I don't think they did nothing they'll be like it's like. No, I was thinking then. Maybe it's time for me to meet your daughter. We can do the whole. You know, like the whole marriage, thanks I said they all died. I believe it well. She actually became pretty successful once she finally shook the picked in farm loose, like I think one of her kids had a die.
Do it another one bag had a masters degree. She knew very well first, ok, but Willie and Dave Willy and particular would not be so lucky all right, one of the traits that Willie shares with a lot of other serial killers, the secret ingredient in his soup. If you will, is an unnatural childhood attachment to his mother literally Umami for his father's part, he seemed to be an almost totaled nonentity, both in Willie's life and around the house. His mother controlled everything from the family to the business. The only thing we have from the father, is a rumor that when he did pay attention to Willie, he was extremely abusive. Okay, now Willy also wasn't very bright, at least in the academic sense. In third grade he was placed in special ed and stayed there until he dropped out of school freshman year of high school okay. So I have to ask, if he's not very bright in academic,
sense. Where is the bright pig he's real pig? Smart? Really? What you want about Willy, but he's got good pigs. I can pick up pig of a lineup of five pigs? I'll, tell you what I can tell you what a pig looks like I could describe a pig. It's got four bottom things: it's got two things that make it go. It's got a hole in the back for your favorite parts. This is picked and your kid loves to eat crayons, but, my goodness does. He have the best pig sense. I've ever seen as a teacher He had a horrible time in school while he was there, even though, victims were pretty successful. They were still pig farmers in a community that was made up mostly of doktor ECHO, One is like a nice suburb. Each weirdo them: roll in and all of a sudden. You have like the shitty version of Pugsley from the Adams family, just in your class, but you're gonna, be you're. Gonna. Be a disappointed it was a farming community at first ok
and so, and there were a lot of farmers around along with all the other farmers, the Pickens lived at the bottom of a hill facing up to Essen Dale Hospital which housed about five thousand mental patients. Its peak. So a lot of the people in Coquitlam at the time worked at the mental hospitals hospitals. So you know all the kids in school were you know the sons and daughters of doctors, but even the kids, even among the kids, that were farmers. David Willie were still the smelly kids, they were still the outcasts. They also talked weird Dave. Had a speech impediment that lasted his whole life. That made him sound like ELM referred, especially He got up, sat so sad available. I just feel so bad because the speech made the speech impediment comes out when you really want to make a point exact and everything is no criminal justice system. Little we collect technically, you are completely corrected ever they use every Eu Citizen
strange, elaborated the biggest, also talk fast. And they all had a high pitched squeaky voice. Yes, They just weren't popular. They got none of the lucky things that happened to popular people like you can't talk normal, and so there was no help. There was no help. The parents could very easily gotten these kids a better life and, of course they are brush cuts. It's really cute. It isn't easy! You just keep all the hair at the top of your head yeah. You know where to find it and all this added up to Willy getting picked on quite a bit. The rumor is when Willy got upset or got into trouble. He'd burrow into the butchered carcass of a hog
until he felt better again. How is this different than you Marcus? I don't know if Marcus has ever burned into a home. No, I have never burrowed into a hog. You thought about it. No have you thought about it ourselves? I have poked at the gas filled belly of a dead horse, see close enough. I have done that. Yes, I have been curious about dead animals because you find a lot of them. Where I grew up, you know the everywhere, you find them in pastures, and things like that. You'll live slipper, XO as Macaulay Culture into the movie. My girl would go to his tree house was in mourning. He would go inside of a pig, yeah to me this story, just it sounds just a little too good yeah! It's it's a little too good. It's the kind of shit you hear people say about the weird filthy, family in town. It's a bit of a canadian yarn, okay, but, on the other hand, consider
and what Picton would get up to later. It might be true it might Trivia. Eighty has united on buys the stroke of each row a could be, but he just ages sounds too good business sense. It sounds. to I mean being from a small town, this sounds way too much like small town rumor. You can sniff out small town rumors. When you hear him they were the creepy family yeah, so part of it. You build more and more that you build the legend of this family especially goes, and Canadians are known to spin a tale or more improv. No one Willy's formative experiences occurred when he was about twelve. This was a story he would tell to anyone who would listen for the rest of his life. This version comes from a tape letter he sent to a penpal Victoria. He called that letter. Bob men wore
He calls himself Bob well, he called himself Bob sometimes so he longs up Bob, sometimes that when he's being classy and then he called himself Willy when he was feeling fun, Bob was his business name. He was doing Bob was bob is is business, namely when he was gonna like when you would go to livestock are auctions and junk auctions, everyone, their numerous bob. so Willy was just when he was horny, is Willy was what his friends called him. Oh, I see so it Bob's your business name. That's not a great idea, so the story goes is illegal, new livestock auction with thirty five dollars as money that he saved up himself and he bought himself a three week old calf to raise one day he came home from school and found. The key
was missing because every day he comes home from school excited to feed. His calf is a ring on his dick play with his asshole like do all sort of stuff calling it will. He called it himself. He give me really strange when Willy couldn't find his calf. His dad told him to go. Look in the barn, Willy opened the barn door. He saw his beloved calf hanging upside down from the ceiling butchered what he what I did here, I you know it's funny right. I just want to let you know you're turning
into a sociopath you're. Welcome, no worries. It'll help me in business, sixty percent of the men that make it in business or sociopath Charles Ing, who killed up to twenty five people with his partner Leonard Lake, had a similar story. He said when he was a kid his mother killed and made him eat his beloved pet chicken, where you bring up Richard Picker, where you got referred to bring up Richard pick in front of me again Nobody knows nobody knew what kind of friendship ahead. What you router packer! That's your name. A rigid break, my comrades, okay, yeah Well, he is a serial killer. Mass murderer, horrible person, both of these men, told these stories again and again crouching for something anything to make them sound. At least half human and I'll tell you that,
my nephew had his pig Mr Jenkins, slaughtered when he was a kid and he's doing just fine it his first name. What's the pig's first name, it was just me so he's just call you gave it it. He gave it a sign of red, back what I must answer, but he has. I am glad that they did. They eat the pig themselves as a family. Now Mister Jenkins got sent a market, so that's fine, yet he was, I mean he was devastated. He weary sad! Is it this little pig? You went to market that their eating them. Yet I mean the piggies were going to shop, no they're going to be butcher yeah! That's what this little piggy went to market means that it's my mom told me they were going to buy food while you're just sucking on a big old pork chop at a six point: five eleven year old man, there are parts of this story, I'm gonna say right now. That makes Hungary, we call him, I don't think so. I thought oh there's a place home and in future the land is so one, my fair restaurants of the world and you go in and it's like the cell, but a farm and
yes, you going years, thereby acted like a pig on the wall and man. Oh man, every one of those pearls inside of this women got to those pigs or delay. We'll get some we'll get some pig later as far as Willie's childhood goes overall I guess you could say that Picton was neglected kind disorder, but is upbringing really does, sound all that different compared to thousands of other hard work and pig boys across the United States and Canada. Pig boys are some of the loneliest people has ever been. Oh yeah yeah I mean the Car Astor disturbing sure, both with picking we don't have that traumatic moment or big head injury. Our that story that you always here with serial killers. We can point to and say: oh that's like say with like Henry Lucas like drinking on the lead filled water,
being made to dress up by his mother, like you, don't have that to look at right, but it could also be something happened. We don't know about or that Willy Pickin was just born and ended up in a terrible family. I think he's very similar to Gary Ridgway, where he kind of stupid at his way into the crime. I think that he was, he was obviously sociopath. He was. He was incredible, just thick, just a thick human being that just equated people to animals and eventually he just treated people the same way. Did he treated the pigs and really not far away from from Mr Ridge Ridgeway there in Seattle there is actually some very interesting connections between Gary Ridgeway, an robber Picton, its hypothesize. Words, theorize that Gary Ridgeway actually travelled up to Vancouver while Willie Picture was also de there and Gary Ridgeway in Willie picked and shared essentially a killing ground for a period
time in Aragon, up like Freddy Verses, Jason obedient know each other. They were still like that, yet they didn't like meet up and light like they didn't bump in each other. On the street. Again, I saw the devil air yeah. It's not like a comic book reality incredible hulk in Spiderman, meat and fight in the main they become friends and work together. They just happened to be going because their women that tells us- when Gary Ridgeway was caught, there were women of Vancouver's east side. That said, like oh shit like I know that, guy that guy, like that guy got violent with me, one It's always easy for them to drive up and then I'm sure they probably hung out at some point Gary and Willy. Just like this, it is like hey, hey Gary. I got it yo, I'm looking at you and it's nice we're hanging out, because you me we're stupid in the same way. Well the big difference between well the big difference between these two and they are parallel to each other. They, the big difference between the two of them, is that in America
We were investigating the Green River killer. We were actively trying to solve it. Our bias is creeping in oh in Canada. They were, like you know. I that'll happen. That'll happen, it'll be fun, but also the big difference between the two is that with Gary Ridgeway there were bodies they found on one of the Robert Picton victims that was outside of the farm, but none of the other set is horrific, yeah, it really is, and when Willie was fourteen, his family moved their farm to another part of Co. Quit but Linda decided to not go along. She dropped out of the farm, seem all together in moved him with relatives in view cover taking her first step towards shed and her dirt bag. Immediate family are so smart. No Linda was a smart woman, okay yeah. She knew to get the fuck out of there as soon as she possibly could. She would still be somewhat kind of connected to the family.
throughout the years, but for the most part she kept them at arms, if the Simpsons gag urged me, like I'm gonna, be right back go out. I'm gonna go get some eggs from the story. I'll be right back. Trust me from gone forever. Where is Linda living her best life, this second farm would be where Willy would live and operate for the rest of his life and that second farm would eventually become the largest crime scene in canadian history. And if you wrote this place into a movie into a horror movie you'd be told you were trying too hard, my goodness, it was just naturally creepy. The landscape was dotted with plots of quicksand. That held a very real tincture of death in the back of the property was filled with a stinking lagoon. It looked like a layer of a villain from Captain Planet yeah. What what real estate agent sold this house to them, because that real estate agent must be
genius. No, it wasn't a it wasn't. It was me freckle bone really stage. Yes, were we have the bog? You don't put your foot in it. It's filled with manting Prana. I already put in we devised, we had to take the castle down because it was filled with bats and the guano was stinking up the area I'll pay, you double put it back. The pickers are actually pretty shrewd business, well. They bought the len. I think for something like eighteen thousand dollars and it eventually got to be worth millions. Oh wow pig smart Smart people make sense yeah in pigs. They do get the pigs, you raise them up. You flip flip the pig and once Willy got control over the place. Decades later, the place became a graveyard for broken down cars and scrap metal and seems like eventually thing you can compare it to it's kind of a tone
inversion of the junk yard for now, but we can make it a murderer. This is greatly another, but trouble visit. It was a very low should find another but trouble. Oh my god tone love was there. I was actually when we were in Pittsburgh. I found myself talking to a fan and found myself explaining the plot to nothing but trouble. I've seen it before I go on so peacefully and applauded like this movie
is insane yeah, so they going on vacation. Oh my god, dad Accros, weird penis knows on the movie, is so fun. It's John Candy and John Candy. This movie has been brought up for seven one of the best movies that has ever existed and no one's talking, no one's talking about it. But like it's not good, it's not classic. Nobody knows about it. It's good yeah! We will, and it was a Bobo and Debo Bobo and Little Devil do devil. That's a little devil with two be oh, my God, seven years. So how this movie like? How many roles? Can you put me in yeah? I'm whatever one of them? Yeah we're? Definitely gonna put numb but trouble in the top five of the last podcast network movie. Oh absolutely long before the farm gotten
nothing but trouble condition. It was still plane or animal farm complete with about seven hundred pigs and a couple hundred chickens stuffed into a few sheds or Barnes William Dave about in high school. At this point, slop the pigs, three a day now even coming home from school during their lunch break for a quick slot man, you don't leave em too long. You can get get clean, I'm good. What is a slop, exactly it's corn, mash and Dirt MASH Parrot MASH and everything around yeah, okay, whiskey, mash, so that's you mean feeding them. Yeah, slop in the pay gap and the pigs. I was thinking they were watching them ok. I know they're not as new embezzling, while Briggs up and was gettin washed it all eyes. You don't even have a shower, oh yeah, so the boys in the morning they go to school covered and slop. They go home for lunch, get covered
more slop and then go back to school for the rest of the day without having taken a shower, yeah, okay, yeah, so the boys just going back to school smelling like a piggery. I think now Gary is also is also what you call a group of men on their way to Atlantic is very true boy, that's not really would have even showered if you got the chance even into adulthood. Willie had a hatred or it's almost in rational fear, especially of getting water on his face. You mean to me, I'm gonna go and I'm gonna stand in a little space and I'm gonna have all of this offensive water. Just to weaponize that not all of me, I got a hurting around me, like I'm ashamed of my own penis. I can't be in that haunted little room filled with rain. That's fake rain! It's not fake rain. He'd only take a bath about once a month even Beth. Can you imagine that, and even if they had to force him to take a back
even as an adult they had to force him to take baths and Willie would later that he was born without a sense of smell, oh good, for I don't think that that's true! Yes, I think that he just said because magic is God cuz, that's who he didn't, that he was filling a room with his fucking stench, so he could just go like ouch, Madame yeah, I smell you, you smell horrible. I swear because I see I live in it? Oh yeah, I mean what they think. I'm are born with a census. May I can smell you, though, which is we are, but I wanted to smell like Stetson search discussing its horrible brute. Is that broods you run I think we, I smell human Zuyder. Those about me, but I do know when I go into some rooms. The flowers will, even though the pigeons did pretty well for themselves. Willie in David same clothes every day. That's actually the sight of genius. What
were to got on pig smartness you're, just coming from a man then wears the same outfit every day. Every single day I wear variations of the same open, Steve Jobs, say it out it every day I mean he had multiple versions is that man had one pair of clothes. They had a shirt and a pair of pants and they wore it every day, Steve Jobs, eight avocados to try to beat pancreatic cancer, wasn't smart, always yes, and the floor of their house was always covered in slop and dirt, because the pickins never took off their boots They go and they'd slop the pigs and they feed the pigs, but they never took up their boots came back into the house, so they just track it everywhere, and the only furniture in the living room was a mattress just on bare mattress in the living room, not the right literature, I'm always focused on smells. I think it's because I am sensitive like I don't like being smelling bad in the house and going back in a shit. But can you just fucking? Imagine just like just what that house is
because, as you know, what's up at him smell that just comes from them. Stupid they are their bodies, just amid a ham smell and then you go in and that normal ham smell mixed with shit covered clothes that have just been baking in the Kana Gideon Sun, which is a low and slow Many are just bodies on mattresses and what moms could beard Harrison. I goods is a recipe for odor I'll. Tell you that, despite all these people still trusted the picture, to store their me well, that might be. They may be good at that pretty soon. After moving to the new farm, Louise bought a couple: a commercial freezers and opened up, b and C frozen foods back and money,
crack, both of about your ball to, while two were back in those days, people by whole side to beef, pork or lamb and stored in places like depict in farm where they could go and pick up whatever they needed throughout the year sure locally, B and C frozen foods. Known as the meat locker honestly we're trying to change the name to the meat library. Fifteen really quit school over. What he says was a fight with a principle over a annuity pen like manoeuvring. of course the women in the dress and you turn it upside down and the dress falls down and everyone laughs, and it's really funny hey there principal look. What I got here. Look at this. He normal lady on one side of it turn upside on wait for it, wait for it wait for it. There's tits give me the pen all right, it's a gift for you. I dare you to kick me out of school. I don't want to be here Louise
was more than Abbe about all that, because from then on, she had a full time. Employee wanted to get dot of school. On the first point it was leaving, he was dead, were to leave school with your beloved pings. All he wanted to do was swap the pin the big guy he's a pig university. That's a farm in the weird thing was that Willie's brother Dave, even though he was still still had the same picture, I ve a he showered, sometimes buddies. did all right socially, but by the time high school came, he had friends and he dated enough, or at least more than you think he he's just probably had a van yeah, I mean like when you're like fifteen sixteen. If you have access to a car, you're automatically sort of popular, you got a thing you can get stoned or drunken yes, that'll make you popular, but Dave was still a dirt bag through and through, and probably still is to this day he's still alive. While Willy is indeed Canada's most prolific,
killer. We should definitely give Dave's due for being a solid canadian reprobate of the trashy historian. Here's your due here, given us, Dave's, first great crime that we know of occurred when he was sixteen and it probably had quite an impact on Willy as well. On October, seventeen th nineteen sixty Seven day was driving West along Dominion Avenue at the same time that a fourteen year old boy named TIM Barrett, was walking home from his friend's house just me, and my best friend a squirrel just walking down the street mommy. Won't. Let me in the house anymore, because I didn't sell my newspapers as long it's a lonely child song that does sound sad. Nobody knows what really happened, but Dave managed to hit the young boy with his truck from behind. I know what happened you hit him with the try me I'd, feel you got in foreign. In other words, we re actually yeah. don't know if he was speeding, then he wasn't bain attention, but the kid was walking on this.
the road and Dave just bucket slammed into then Dave stopped The boy was severely hurt. They break out, drove home and told his parents. What happened in the family Instead of calling an ambulance, went into cover up overdrive. First, they wiped as much blood off the truck as they could incentive to a local mechanic to get the dent from the boys impact fix smart Well, I guess smart family sticks together. I guess not. When you kill a young boy, I guess they never saw. I know what you did last summer: it's gonna lead to a haunting they're all gonna die and while Dave took care of that, Louise got in her car and went down to the scene of the crime she found TIM Barrett Stick, lying. There is, then, do you see
Why do you say no get me to a house to this poor kid, the poor kid yeah, you know what she did. She rolled him into a water filled. Ditch that's the open that yeah the mother, hoping that no one would define the body and then she just went home. She so Dave Regular rolled TED Kennedy, yeah Dave at the mechanic shop. The mechanic fixed the dent. surprise that Dave even brought it in to fix in the first place as the truck was pretty beat up already and the Pickins weren't really known locally to be especially fussy people when it came to aesthetic yeah yeah, why you fixing this debt? Now the whole car is covered in pig shit. Why don't you wash it off with a hose for a second? Also, I'm pretty certain there's blood on here yeah? Well, you know, what's a great, we can fix all the dense. We can do all the dense for
hundred by just one dead, just the one hundred dollar dead, but the next morning, when the mechanic heard the story on the radio that a young boy been found near the side of the road mechanic called the Royal Canadian, mounted police and reported the work he done on the pickins truck. The horrible thing was TIM It was still alive after the impact. His bones were broken use. Hemorrhaging in his skull was fractured, yes, but what he actually died from was drowning, my god, so she killed She killed them, but again Texas Shades Zog. It is, but if you can't rely in your mother, yes, aha, Your crime high you ass, my mother's nuts, but I know for a fact she would lie for me on this and that's the only thing that they need to be there for that in the end they got a call
when they credit card company thing in a line of credit card companies who heard of a never hurt. My son died these days the timber died floating in two of muddy water, rivalries, Picton and roll them and had she done that he would have almost certainly survive. I mean he would have been right here I mean. Fine? Are you saying that, if you're an act, what better dead and Henry is taking a bizarre love side for the mother right now, just he would have just been a crooked boy. Daughter, better crooked boy. You would have thought hard and
to the. If he would have been alive at a very late have been alive. You fucking monsters, so the mother is out. So this murder is on the mom yeah the murders on the mom, but basically she didn't even have to do to because the only the that Dave Pickedon was charged, what we was failing to remain at the scene of an accident. All he got was parole and is license suspended until he was twenty one about four and a half years. Is this the eighty s that we're in here? Seventy? This is the seven late. Sixty s early? Seventy! I think, let's see here yeah, I think it was sixteen now. Nineteen sixty seven of the problem is that the royal mounted police did want investigate because the horses were scared. The pig get him a bit of a date Come on now come on. We have a crime to investigate. We got a crime. I know you don't want to you don't want to go. deal
No more no crime today, there's never been a crime ever not since not since six months ago. The funny thing that I The one thing that I learned in research in this episode, the RCMP, is actually the the canadian version, like the FBI, yeah no they're hard core amount of hard core. I will not talk shit too much shit what's about to pull because they will come for your ass and I will say they bring the horses in the buildings yeah sure that's a very strong police force that is strong in Louise for her part in the murder. She was never even investigated. How we know about her role in the story is because she later told a friend of the boys that she had killed this one by way of a threat and Willie told one of his friends about it years later, as well, my mom up your mom Stowbody. My mom is various draw yeah, my mom killed a boy. She killed a boy to cover up for our crimes.
my mom gonna beat up your pen. Do you have that nude power? Look look right here if she got clothes on right, yeah, so that's boring, right, yeah turn it upside down. We worried my mom killed a boy. She can't avoid a UFO cover up for our crimes, wait for it. Pushed him over. He was, he was walking out of the pet squirrel, was a US little thing and then my brother just just mercilessly murdered him, and then she just flipped his face over into the do, it sets up or in the big does it other trusteeship. Besides casual murders. Well, they used to hire cheap labour from a local school for mentally disabled which isn't necessarily in and of itself trash Mcdonald's did the same thing yeah. If you treat people with respect, it's got. If you treat people with respect, it's a wonderful thing, what was so trashy was that when Willie dropped the kids off at the end of the day, he time it so he dropped him off just after the school's dinner hour and he then route through the dumpster and fish out.
Anything that looked halfway decent, so he's. Do you live in the Heath Cliff lifestyle that really picking easily the heaving area there are and how long failure in smaller he's very mean to others. Self self involve Garfield, loved nuts but lasagna he has good food and Garfield isn't necessarily mean to others he's just particular. These particular tell that okay when she's on flight to Abu Da Right normal was a liability was a wonderful, wonderful creature, but why were they hungry? They had a pig farm had a meat lawyers. Just like free shit. There they're just there, just keep trashy. All you do. Is you bring all these lessons to his mother and she'd cut off any part that might have gotten dirty in the family were just feast for free account dirty covered in order to raise their that's pigs adds that is, pigs fix it. Now I can understand
and even sympathise with this if the pittance or barely scrape and by but these people had to thriving businesses, they were just the true debt. Of garbage people in both their hearts and their life, the garbage pal kits yeah, but a whole family of them. So by the early seventy s, the pic and brothers, were starting to establish the career path that they would follow for more or less the rest of their lives. Dave was working militiamen construction, while Willie has started his career as an apprentice butcher. First Willie Actually, I hadn't really liked butcher and all that much, but by the time he reached his early twenty s, he could handle two dozen animals a day and eventually he would be able to handle twice that wow, you know what's interesting is, I think, that's where he got the positive validation that when he realized, I think, he's a dollar mean in his core right and and a worthless person yeah and then what he did was that he got positive validation from how good he got at butchering, and then he just moved it all like he just
put it in his brain. He put the two categories of pigs and people together me like, while people I get when I do this. If I keep doing it I'll get even more friends yeah, it could have been a great butcher. Everyone needs a good butcher. So, by the time Willy was in his twenty s, he began his lifelong hobby of writing a penpal. Although it was never really made clear exactly how Willy got a hold of these women, how do you just get a pen pal? I think there used to be services where yeah, I think there used to be services, because I remember I had a impel that I got out was it discover magazine in the back of discovery. Again. You know the science magazine is either that or three two one contact wait hold on writing for you. Forty year old man, yeah we're tending to be a little boy, and that is obviously with the little girl. Are you problem? I'll do my problem. We would then we are now in power, valleys depend thousand president's serial killer. That's right! That's right into
Yes, you are problem child. No, it was a little girl from Minnesota. It was a full grown man from Minnesota. Well, he was very good at writing. Like a little girl, I bet he was his heart of the fucking Dick and sit there. It is letters who, finally I'm the little girl. I always wanted to be an interesting thing to do. Yes. Well, Willy's, Alltime, favorite, pen, pal was a woman named Connie Anderson who lived in Pontiac Michigan when Willie was twenty four years old, he took his first ever trip outside of Coquitlam and traveled through the Midwest. To me it took him six to get there. He stopped in towns like St Louis Kansas City in Chicago, along the way just working from city to city. How did do? Was he riding a pigeon now come on now you see? No horses. Do you, you carry me like the horse. Carry me like a damn horse there, all right I'll, carry you with the movie. We could just see the smell trail until he got to Pontiac Michigan. Well in one city, he doesn't.
They would city was I'm assuming Chicago Willie got an odd proposition, or at least he claimed he did. he said, I met a lot of people and believe it or not want I had a chance for me believe it or not me. I am a plain old farm boy and they want for our model model me you get at what up what's a model. What are they talking about maudlin that's a real quality or a model with me. What's a model it's a little modeling modeling model. What may be a model for the does not say all. He knows that big offered him already done.
An hour for quote unquote MOB a guy John Wayne date with his name. I didn't go work for his construction for a man. I got big sense that hammer he knew her man, not a Pigman Willie turn the offer down. I mean but he's having a regular old american adventure, he's working from town to town he's having strangers on the street, offering him work. So his life is like the movie. Yes ma'am. What is it? I've never seen the movie. Yes ma'am. He always says yes, it's the film were no improve talking about. No, he said no well, he said no, yes, but until then he was saying yes, yes, yes, and then it got him almost to be a model yeah I no to a shower too. He says no a lot. Actually, maybe it isn't yeah get this no to everything, but pigs I guess we yes to pigs, may pigs Willie finally got to Pontiac around MID fairly. Wary M was soon court unclear,
engaged to Connie Anderson forward, he said she couldn't leave her job and he couldn't leave the farm, so it just wasn't meant the careers, always tell people apart. Also, I try. Cut her open, a big thing, and I was like because I was feeling merely overwhelmed. I was new to the country. There was signs I didn't understand. I didn't understand how to order at the fast food restaurants. I got different specials in there, so I just wanted to go to my comfort space inside a large breathing thing. Oh, I see it seems like Willie's only real takeaway from His time in Amerika was a preoccupation with George Washington's birthday. In fact, after reading on the farm, it seems like some Canadians, have very odd idea, about how we celebrate George Washington's Bert. I wouldn't embers celebrate I've never celebrated George Washington birthday. In my I've celebrated the day off from school. There
day off from school for George Washington's birth. I couldn't even to point to it on account of anywhere they residents day member, but that's where everybody will. That today is that we only do we only celebrate George out, even though not here towards our ideal. I dont there was Abraham Lincoln, like anniversary of the hat, like twenty percent may happen, I just really about twelve in college, on President's that I think president's days like we celebrate both Lincoln and Washington. On the same day I they put. And one day I do we celebrate them at all, or only celebrate presents like the third Tuesday of February or some are already got Mount Rushmore celebrate him sure. Well, CB became a in in the the farm. Wrote quote: Americans Revere George, shootin as the embodiment of honesty and celebrate his birthday with the madness of cherry pies. Abraham Lincoln his honest. That's me them you, ve learned onto the market, Where did the cherry tree?
sharing values. Honesty is honest really on television, honest a, but there is also an honesty thing with these Canadians that their did it all wrong, and I are the way you may be an elementary school. We may be. Did a cherry pie thing in elementary school like one time, but maybe that's where the cab driver was eaten. The cherry pits. Nowhere always leave us Canada, and I was like a cat american government of Americans in the garden Ebner, either pits they was awkward human beings, yeah. I've never heard the tradition of eating carry pies on George wash his birthday for whatever reason, bother the hell out of Willie. He said quote: people keep trying to make me eat Jerry, pies, culture here he said it was enough for him to comment on it. He said that he turned his stomach to see all these Americans with their face. Is covered in, carry pies or barely we're. Not just Eden. Cherry pie were also eating
so vociferously. It's all over. Like really your covered in pig pie is nice no, it's like the movie stand by me or something like that. Maybe that's the way America used to be in a cherry pie. Is this like a Michigan thing, yeah man, I didn't make a long legs, big racks, it's Michigan thing, don't hate me yeah! I have actually happy. I have a magnet that says that long, big rack, don't hate me cloud from Michigan classiest refrigerator in LOS Angeles. So when Willie got back to Coquitlam, never to return to the cherry pie, madness of America, he got no horses as people paid the Pickins rent money need to board was at their farms. There's a lot of horses around sellers like all like horses. That's, let's get off Surely came like an unpopular girl in high school than were these horses, perhaps used by the Canadian mounted? I don't think they were. I think these are just general horses. Does your general can eighty
horses for Canadian, okay, so Willy chose a cult and named Goldie, never wrote it. Buddy love. when it off a big show off you see, Goldie, Ener, yeah, big tits or that Look at this. I turn er. It's like a just a regular horse like this right, flipper upside down waiver yeah waiting for it shit wait for it. She sits yep, like it yeah. Can I see that bet again yeah so right here I see right here, the more in the beginning, he wearing he's got flaming upside down, Goldie shitting again, I think Goldy's throwing up wait for it. Oh Everywhere there I think, is broken moving Goldie died for years later after Andrew and a leg. Is you know if a whore
breaks a leg? Get done you got to put it down, it's like a grandmother yeah. So after will I put the horse down. He saw it all the head, Homer, mounted it and kept it in his dank base. Bedroom, which is a horrific thing to do to your horse. You don't fuckin, do your words is a special connection with your horse, yeah like if I did already bring up with Wendy how we're gonna stuff it when she died. You gotta stuff, a dog but actually common stuff that but with the dog, that's one thing, but a horse! You got a special connection with a horse. Well. Well, I think you have special connection with a dog different connection with your horse in stark horses, your friend, it's your and it's your transportation. So it's like the love you have for your pet. Your brother and your car I mean back in the old west. You could get hung for being a horse thief. You wouldn't be hung for being a dog thief, you're not being hung for being a horse mount er if you mount a dead horse on your wall. No, but it's because you have it's weird
as you, you never get. It's weird and I dont think that would be my favorite commune amount to about the bumper whether we usually do it yourself to have very well. We didn't do a good job with more he had said he took it to attacks on journalists Sergey he wasn't he never gonna taxidermy in our final anybody by anybody. I garage you, there's gonna, be some listeners out there that are horse people they're going agree with me that this is a fact that thing that the final question did he mounted with the horse tongue. Stick it out of its mouth, yeah! I put in a little like green sunglasses on it like a Friday. Well in Willy's room. Besides the horse said he also had a picked in code of Armed displayed on the wall allow what one oiled I'm what would their coat of arms be heard? Lord, it just a shit covered Spock, the like the crass, is like a little shit. Lump piggy me
another shit, love and then a woman with a full beard. Oh I like that, and he also kept a book that told the history of various local families in Coquitlam included the pectin, and it was said that these things were his most prized possessions. Okay, as far as furniture went, though, the only thing Willy had in his room was a mattress on the floor, which had a big black staying right down, the middle of its mould is well below the room is, did flood. Quite a bit goes in Vancouver. Apparently there are spring floods and the room did flood quite a bit and as soon as the floodwaters went down, Willie just went back in there I would imagine that the black stain was probably just from Willie going to sleep on it covered yeah yeah. I get to a streak
pigs, that's so nineteen. Seventy eight on new year's day, Pickens Father Leonard finally died at the age of ninety. Why wholly hell yeah, and if you ll notice for life than you have not had the s job within that if you'll end, if you'll know this is the second time we ve mentioned MEL about the third down. We ve mentioned Leonard Picton in this entire story. This guy, just pretty much hung around the house do nothing he's grandpa from Texas. Can some mascara he'd set up in the attic right? They would bring him down for dinner and then they would like. And then everyone else ding everything around them. They just basically waited for him to die, and so was he and when he died, he must have been so happy just died in the play: Poo Mansion Display Mansion Mansion and nineteen. Seventy eight just started a couple of years of tragedy for the pic and later on, year, one of the piggeries burned down it killed about.
Hundred pick that tell you. It is really sad, but can you imagine how delicious that smell? Is there pigs, pig's, roofs and crackling cracklin pay who killed then? The next year, Luis Peyton died of cancer on April fool's day. Nineteen. Seventy nine. At the age of sixty seven and you're, not feeling well so it's April for, are you doing? Is it a joke? Mother, thank God I have to and Willie was asked years later. How he felt about his mother really said: quote two peas in a bad
tool piece and sight of each other inside of a oh, my gosh. Now the Picton farm was actually worth quite a bit. Despite its disgusting reputation, it was worth almost a million dollars in today's money and with both parents dead. It was time to see who got what, in the will now, how the will was laid out. Tells you something about Willy's personal relationship with his mother, but it's really hard to figure out just what first of all every child got about. Ninety. thousand dollars a plus the farm split three ways and that's ninety thousand dollars in nineteen. Seventy six money really reminding me. Seventy nine money is really reminds me of the uncle from american story.
American movie. This is one from American me, where he's sitting on all that money he's living in a trailer and they're all just waiting him to die. It's all right! It's okay, there's something to live for american movie. Well, you know that story where MIKE Shank used to come into the Jimmy John's drop off the papers. His brain was acid. Oh yeah, yes, nice guy though, but even though the other two Dave and Linda got their money right away, Willie in order to get his had to stay on the farm till he was forty years old. It was about another ten years after mother's day until he got his share, so it was like brewsters thousands, yeah kind of, but he also got an additional twenty thousand dollars up front that the other two didn't get. It was an odd split yeah and I can't quite figure out what she was trying to do. Well, I think that she knew that Willie could not go anywhere else. She's got pig senses, a pig guy, the pig breeders whereby you think they're all fuckin stupid
when everything was done wrong and backwards in Canadian yeah, but they were very successful. People and his mother trusted him the most with the farm yeah he eats the complete. But where do you think he's gonna run off to LOS Angeles to be a model? You already want Ladia Michigan once she's, not gonna. Let that happen again. I always knew he could be a model well technically about when Willie picked him was finally caught. He was a millionaire like really Yes, he was. He was a millionaire. These people not fair serial killer. We ve come here either richer circle brokers are able to homes was ready on a paper that he was John Paper by Willy picked and actually was worth while. over a million dollars, yeah so He was, I would actually say, look stupid yet Dickhead is probably the risk
serial killer in his sight, it's like the Scrooge Mcduck, it's like diving in a big thing of dollars and cover all of shit. Yeah like oh, my God, Beverly hillbillies, I guess so with mom dad will I figured he was free to live, how we wanted. So he started that life by going around junk auctions around western Canada by an broken down cars and scrap metal and home. All back to the farm business to nothing, but trouble time starts so he started building that a form like a raven builds its nest and his meat business was also starting to grow might meet business around this story is making your move yeah. You wanna say that a dual microphone well Willie would take orders from customers and go to livestock auctions to buy cows. Pigs, lamas and sometimes even the odd emo
butcher and serve up each Fonda kill new animal. I guess at all the lamas alone, but unbeknownst to his customers. Willie was known to pick out the cheapest animals, mostly the sick ones, covered in sores and oozing with pus. Should they be sold yet well, they would they would be like surplus animals. They kind of Are you selling them did for what, because someone would buy them for me, because I really would buy, they would cut the he would by the cold.
like the calls would be they go through and they look for all the animals that no one else would buy. Bad news bears and the bad news bears of meat, yeah the horrid meat and since the Pickins had long been meet people, their farm was already equipped with its very own slaughter house, of course, and this was Willy's method. Willy would usually kill an animal by slitting throat. But if the beast was too big Willy like to take it down with a nail gun to the forehead, all the emus got a nail gun no country for old men. Well, that was well. That was a whole different apparatus. That was that wasn't. It was ear pressure, yeah, yeah yeah, a similar idea, but now Willy would use an actual like construction nail gun to just sell them in a fucked up way,
yeah? No, I mean, I guess, there's no pretty way to kill an animal. So after the animal died, Willy would cut a hole in its ankle slight, a hook into the wound and hang the animal from the ceiling to let all the blood drain out into a bucket. And then you can take all that blood. You can congeal it in nice sauce you make that blood sausage. Like I had the Scotland. I understand that you are. None of this is adverting you from having disgusting food on a regular bed. This is natural yeah. Willy would then gut the animal skin it and dismember it with a hand, saw the fate. Those animals met would be almost identical to that of dozens of
who would enter that slaughterhouse. Only a few years later, yeah we're talking it's disgusting, there's technically that place in Brooklyn, where it's like. They do all that laughter right there and it's hipsters your ex girlfriend used to work for it. He was an apprentice butcher. Oh yeah, that's right! Wisconsin! During deer hunting season, you open up a garage. It looks like yeah, it's nothing but deer carcass. If he didn't do it to people Technicalit's very expensive, so I don't want the disease Lama jerk. He would make with it, but yeah. No small parts of these women's bodies would also join the animals in the forty foot. Deep holes. Picton would dig around his property to dump the excess bones skin and meat from the animals he slaughtered. Now, how excited would you be to dig a forty foot hole though Marcus Look at a number of looking have I mean you have to make a reason why it's either put in a pool hiding a bunch of bodies. Poor put in a pool
I want to hide body. I would like to hide animal bodies. That'd be fine. You want that. Well, I mean I would do that. I don't know if I want that, let's move forward, is about Willie. He didn't treaties employs very well either why you know models there which is to say there are thinking about themselves in nineteen eighty one Willie hired for teenage boys to help out with the pigs, but when it came time to pay Willie refused saying he could quote get rid of any just by Fertin, but almost immediately after he tried to be friendly again, but he did it in a way that sounds seriously like we've said many times before. This truly sounds like a Canadian inversion of Texas Chainsaw massacre at this is canadian chainsaw mass. All this is what one kid said happen one day. Will he told me he had a ham? For me,
I should pick it up after my shift. Another kid told me to not take it, but at the end of my shift I said what about that hand. You promise me and Willie return with a mass of material? It wasn't braids, but I don't know what it was. It was all stringy and not have well what what I think it was a bucket of uterus, oh my Putin, but will grave. I will say I always love gutting the store and get a nice pound to not him not him. What is it? You know what it's? Not it's, not him. So, since the pick and brothers were already bad people, it makes sense that they eventually went down. The road of criminal enterprise. and since their plot of land was fairly large and already covered and jumped out cars, it made the perfect location for a child Sharp operation ran by the local hell's angels chapter. Ok, this made the picked and farm a favorite hang.
four, bikers and low lives of all stripes throughout the year. Hyena cool way is hyenas into Liketh enough and petroleum place was an actual hang out. Hearted of petty party Yea party would have gone to a apart if this would have been a place around. You know where I grew up. We can add a place like this, but was it really criminals? It was, but I mean it was dirt bags. Definitely, but it was a lot of criminals, just hell's angels, just drinking a beer and saying sorry to each other, because it's canadian sorry, no most people thought dave- was the one who ran the whole chop chop operation at least the day to day. But when police finally car window what was going on, they were told by some of the teenagers who work gig stolen cars, that it was the supposed Dullard Willie who actually ran the day to day elbows a downward whose now, who is now somewhat dollar over you're Tellin, me suppose. A dollar this in that and you're going to have to explain to me what suppose it an dullard is
you. You do first thing: I'm gonna need you to do. Take a look at I got a new he's bigger, that's what I like about it. You got a male woman uniform on you, see that flip it upside down yeah your way for it suppose it, Me that everybody I use every it means throw away for it almost harder than me. I don't know anything about its is no, no fan, but even though the brothers got caught red handed, nothing ever really came of it, mostly because the local mounties had their hands full with Vancouver's, first serial killer, Clifford Olson, who killed eighteen. In a horrible coincidence, one of the girls who survived an attack by Clifford Olson when she was a teenager most likely met her ultimate fate at the hands of Robert Picton. Almost twenty years later after he picked her up from that,
covers downtown, assign wow and we'll get, and all that and more next week with Robert Picton part to arrive there. It is I M in a coma dochart, which I knew we're in the way.
